It is located near the Galleria and by lots of restaurants and shopping stores. We were able to get in and out really fast. There were quite a few of the self-checkout lines. A few more than I've normally seen. But it was an easy process. I'm sure I'll be back when visiting my daughter. read more

I'm not black, not white, but We were greeted with 'masks required at walmart', basically we were blocked to enter the door as if she was guarding fort knox; no exception (even though the CDC says there are exceptions which I have, so we had to leave. We were not offered the option of a mask to enter, nor access to go in & buy a mask. Just told Walmart requires masks. Which is not true because we went to another walmart in Fort Mill yesterday, no problem. We went to Sam's club yesterday, no problem. So this walmart does not exist to me. read more

The area where you get your vehicle service is awful. I've been here 2 times in the last month & they were still closed not open as the sign says. Then last month when I had my vehicle serviced for an oil change, the female asked me if I would be ok with non synthetic oil. I have a 2021 vehicle, been there prior .... why would my vehicle take nothing but synthetic oil? I will not go here again for an oil change. The green tipped cap was missing from my tire and my steering wheel and fabric seat belt was stained with grease. Shame on me for not doing a walk around my vehicle outside & checking inside before I left this location. I rather pay a few extra dollars to have the oil changed without anyone adding extra stains to the inside of a fairly new vehicle and also not have to worry about them putting in the wrong oil or having your tire caps (expensive ones) missing. read more

I sat parked first in that line for a good 15 minutes. Saw mechanics walking around laughing and joking. I saw people walk in and out of service area chatting with mechanics. Obvious friends. Mechanics even walked out right beside me. They said nothing. I mumbled, Are you serious? He looked at me and kept walking. I walked in and the line was our the door. No employee ever spoke. I've been to Rock Hill, three times in the last month or so, and had an opportunity to visit this Walmart each time I've gone. Its a Walmart, you can pretty much expect what you're going to get. This location does have a deli section and while I only pay about $3.99 for a tub of chicken salad at Publix in Atlanta, the same amount of chicken salad at this location was almost $7. The layout of the store is the same as with any other Walmart, food and grocery items on one side and the rest of the store is filled with clothing and other wares. I will give them some credit for having enough check-out lanes opened so there wasn't a memorable wait either time I've visited. One one visit I needed to send some money to someone, and decided to go in and use the Walmart to Walmart service, which is similar to a Western Union service. I appreciate that when I went in the clerk advised me that she was able to send the money, but because it was close to 10pm, the person wouldn't be able to pick the money up to the next day. read more

This store is disgusting. The only reason we come here is for a particular type of diapers. Every time we visit this store we dread it because it is so nasty. I told my husband when we left that I felt like I needed a shower just from being in there. Today, there was an empty beer can over by the car seats. There was loose plastic on the floor, a SERIOUS hazard. And there was a bag along with cans of cat food by the diapers. It's absolutely appalling how filthy and messy this store is. And NO ONE ever wants to help you. The diapers we went for today said they were in stock online. But we didn't see them when we got there. So it took 10 mins for us to find someone to help us. And that person said she would have to find someone in this department. We waited another 15 minutes. Only for them to tell us there were none in the back. I was in town for six weeks so I came to Walmart supercenter to buy food and bathroom products. This is a large store and they do a good job of keeping it clean. Walmart sells a wide variety of products and in the prices were low. I enjoyed the self check out since it made the checkout process a lot faster. I went in to Walmart at 2:55 and went straight to the eye center. I picked up the nose guards I wanted and got in line to pay. Carol was behind the desk and had another customer with whom she chatted about her daughter's softball team, how she pitched, she was on the travel team, then I found put she also played volleyball. My wife placed an order for pick up. I went into the big orange pick up area and checked in. I then waited 20min. Not one employee spoke to me or even acknowledged I was there. I walked over to Customer Service. There was nobody there. When somebody finally appeared, they walked right by me to answer the phone. After they took a second call, they asked what my issue was. I explained the situation and they just paged somebody from pick up and went on with their day. I walked back down to pick up and somebody walked up, took my name, and said he'd be right back (he did talk to the other person who was waiting as well). Another employee showed up 5 minutes later with my item. 30 minutes in and out. Not one employee acknowledged I was there if I didn't initiate the interaction. Nobody acknowledged that I waited almost 30 minutes for them to do anything. I'd call and tell the manager, but they won't care. If they did, I wouldn't be writing this. read more

We stayed here overnight in an RV. The store itself was a bit dumpy for a Wal-Mart. It seemed a bit oddly laid out also. However, the employees were friendly and they had everything we needed. As for overnight parking, there was a homeless guy sleeping in his truck next to us all night. It was a bit creepy. There is a gas station next door. Overall, it's a decent stop. read more

I wish there was a national WalMart ranking system from best to worst, there is no possible way that the Dave Lyle location would be anywhere but dead last. Rude staff, absolutely filthy store inside and out, poorly stocked, rotten meat in grocery and don't even get me started on the clientele who patron it. There is literally a leak in ceiling and floor damage by the dairy section that has been there since 2008. I've been to WalMarts through out the country and have never seen one this bad. Every other location in the world has been updated with polished concrete floors, wider isles, better layouts - not this one. When visiting it is a time warp back to 1991. I had to visit this location today to return a package of dried out printer ink for the second time in a week.
