I personally can never recommend the Sam's location. Because of the fact they're always out of items more over items in the café. I run a business and on a weekly basis we order at least 9 to 10 pieces at a time I came in today just to get one for the family and a few other things and they're totally out of pizza. The issue is they should just close down the café altogether. You have no pizza you have no cinnamon for the cinnamon pretzels and the icee machine isn't working. Miraculously enough, there's not a manager available to speak with so therefore you just short and all of the individuals that work at the café are extremely rude and in hospitable. Customer service is not in their vocabulary. I must find another location because this one isn't it. read more

I'm really surprised there are so many poor reviews for this big box store. Most of the poor reviews are really based on isolated incidents. I've been a Sam's club member for many years. I also have a CostCo membership and might go there more often if there was one closer to where I live. You go here because of the low prices on bulk sale products. When I go, I have a LIST of what I need. My plan is to get in/out PDQ. I mainly go here for paper products like paper plates and bowls, paper towels and napkins. Bottle water, chicken broth and occasional their chicken salad. They also have good prices on large pack of razor blades. Great prices at the gas pump, I use the Gas Buddy app a lot and the gas here will generally be .10 less than the next lowest around. They always have an on-site attendant to help keep the line moving. There is NO bathroom available at the gas pump. They also have a good deal on gift cards to local area restaurants and not all are franchise places. It's usually a deal where you pay $75 bucks and you get $100 bucks in gift card value. They also have a good size self-check out area which I really like. For those reviewers that have a problem with the customer service, don't go at PRIME time. Get your booty up out the bed and be there when they open at 9am on Sat or 10a on Sunday. Take your own reusable bags, that way you won't have to look for boxes on site. Don't be looking for top tier special plants at a big box store, go to a local nursery. I've also found their Customer Service desk to be very helpful and efficient. You need to bring your receipts. Don't expect to get special treatment because your dog ate your receipt, you're not in grade school anymore. Also, when you are leaving, don't stick your purchase receipt in the bottom of your bag. You will most likely need it as you exit. They want to SEE the receipt in your hand so have it ready. They a random check process where they will scan some items and check them against the receipt. I know it's hard to believe but there are ALWAYS people trying to game the system and steal products. It does slow down the exit line and sometimes they have two people with scanners but ANOTHER reason to go early. read more

Sams used to have everything I needed for concessions needs. Now I have to order items they are out of stock on constantly at other stores. For example. Hot Dog and Hamburger buns. They never seem to have any. This shouldn't be a problem. They also sometimes load the car but forget items. When I go back for them, they can't find them. It is getting frustrating. read more

Rude and disrespectful staff! After my experience this morning, I have to express my disgust. At 7:55am this morning, my grandson and I entered the store. I had an 8am appointment to have tires installed. It was 20 degrees outside. The staff member (Heidi) at the "Customer Service" desk told me the store is not open. I informed her of my situation. She again to me the store was not open. I told her I realize that. It's 20 degrees outside. I asked her what do you want me to do. Her response, "I want you to leave and come back in 5 minutes." Although Sam's Club employees are sanitary about their sample stations I would not recommend their Cafe. If I could have given a review for only Sam's Club Cafe, I'd give them 1 star instead of 2. To begin with, they are sometimes out of straws and sometimes out of lids and when you ask them all they can say is there is nothing they can do (more like nothing they wanna do OR that the manager would allow them to do). The straw that broke the camel's back was when they had some wet packages of water packets near the drink machines and there was a roach (possibly a German cockroach) that was crawling under the water packets. I would have told the employees but I guess they can't get rid of the roaches just like they can't keep enough lids or straws stocked up. I won't ever eat at their Cafe again because I have roach phobias. So any place that has roaches I won't eat at because apparently they aren't sanitary enough to wipe down their food area or drink areas. Being short staffed is no excuse for poor sanitation. I am giving this rating go the food / Togo area. I've been waiting right over 30 mins for a 10 min pizza. When a pizza was brought it was supposed to be boxed, but transitioned in transit to the heater over up front. A lady next to me asked to talk with a manager because she had an issue that was not being taken care of. The manager never came. I under that people get busy. It happens. Small things pile up. Moved to the area and I'm still a loyal Costco member but don't want to have to drive a distance every time we need our meats and other bulk items, not to mention they also have a gas station that is at least 0.15 lower than other stations around. That alone was worth the membership. They have an ongoing special that when you sign up you get back a rebate for orders placed online which was the only reason, I decided to get a membership. Had a Sam's membership many years ago when I lived in Florida but had a horrible customer experience and returned my membership. So far, I haven't had any bad experiences, but I haven't had any great one's either. It is always hard to find someone to help you when you need it. I do like that they have plenty of self-checkouts. The store is what you'd expect from a Sam's Club and seems clean enough. The problem is that they don't enforce mask wearing or social distancing. Honestly, I haven't seen so many people without masks on since the start of the pandemic. This is one place where you can bulk up even if you're not into fitness. See what I did there? Ahh, never mind. Sam's Club is a great place to purchase goods in large quantities at good prices. As well as electronics, pharmaceuticals, vision services and goods, tires and batteries. It was nice to experience a brand new club. I normally shop at the Pineville club. It took me a while to find what I was looking, as this club seemed to be layed out completely opposite of the aforementioned South Charlotte franchise. But, I'm sure after another trip or two and I will have it figured out. I did not run into any computer issues such as the 1st reviewer talked about. As far as the VISA card complaint, I've known that for a long time. It's always been that way with Sam's. Remember this rhyme if Sam's is on your 'to-do' list: "Before you show just know VISA is a no-go!" They usually have team members around several stations making samples of specific food product. The one thing I don't like are the vendors around the aisles trying to peddle their products. I have been to Sam's before and loved the bar code scanner they have on the Sam's App. It saves a great deal of time from waiting at the checkout line; however, the app doesn't always work, such was my experience today. I pay to shop here, so I should not be acosted while coming in & leaving, by people selling cellular phones / service and gutters/home improvement. One time the lady trying to sell gutters (maybe replacement windows too) was snotty when my husband and I nicely said we weren't interested. The last two times we shopped there the app didn't work. Great location, great parking. But it's a big box warehouse club. There is a Target and Wal-Mart within a mile. You don't have to pay a membership fee at the alternatives. Sam's Club can sometimes have good deals, but they have a tendency to make you buy wayyyyy more than you really need. My friend and I stopped in for a snack so this rating only reflects the food court experience. There was a long line but it moved quickly. We ordered a soft pretzel and breadsticks. The pretzel came out right away and was good. We were told it would be a 5 minute wait in the bread sticks. We waited for 12 minutes before they were brought to the counter and they were burnt so we could only eat the fee on the inside. We didn't think they were very good and were on the greasy side. This specific Sam's club has terrible service. Cashiers: They have no sense of urgency. Some of them are just sloppy and lazy. Food Court: When the lines are long, there is always just one person working the counter. The only positive thing I can say about it is the Older lady knows exactly what she is doing she handles business. The younger lady has a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. For example, I had bought a pretzel and it was extremely undercooked. I go back to the counter and tell her I want to swap out another one . Then she tells me, you need to bring it back sooner. WTF? She got the card but no take a bake pizza. Must come back in 72 hour's. Sam's club get it together. After over 8 people in line at membership desk. A manger should have been called to get help. I owed a convenience store for many years and used Sams in Pineville NC with all good experiences. $1000 - $3000 Weekly. They opened a Rock Hill SC location. I have experienced many problems at this location. The only reason I still shop there is location convenience. They stock an item for several months then you cant find that item anymore. Not talking about specialty items or seasonal I mean staples such as rice. For awhile they will carry a certain brand then suddenly can,t find it anymore. Country Gravy mix used to have it, no more. Now I have to go to BJ's or Pineville Sams. I could site many more similar items. Planters nuts, peanuts or mixed no longer carry. I bought a big can of peanuts their replacement brand (Members Mark) Ate two handfuls Tasted like a open year old container of peanuts (Terrible) Trashed. I decided to try the Members Mark mixed nuts. Not much better. It seems that Sams is replacing all the name brand with the Members Mark (Sams Brand Name). All, off brand seconds. I don't mind a Food Lion brand occasionally But I realize that when I buy the off brand or store brand Green beans I will quite often also get stems and other trash in the beans. But at Sams that's all they carry is the Members Mark store brand. Opened a credit card account took over an hour at customer no service. Finally had to cancel because or their billing errors. I own house dogs and I would love to take my dog into restaurants and to the grocery store. But I realize that it is not appropriate. And I whole heartily accept the service dog at restaurants ect. They preform a function that the owner cannot. Seeing, balance ect. A Pomeranian does not preform this type of service. Just the other day a women was at the bakery at Sams talking to a employee obviously a family member while petting her 5 lb dog in the grocery basket. The women should have more respect for other customers and the Sams employee should know better. I have eaten my share of dog hair no doubt But my own dog not someone else's. I see this happening everywhere now days. Store owners need to know or should know that there is a difference between Service Dog, Emotional support dog and Therapy Dog. Only the Service dog is allowed in restaurants and then if the Service dog is not behaving the owner can be asked to leave. Check the ADA reg. SAMs doesn't take Visa credit, which is ridiculous, and they don't advertise that until you swipe and are denied... This particular SAMs always has computer issues as well. The past 2 times we've been in the store, the computer system has gone down and they've only taken cash... Yes it's a new store, but there's no excuse for this when you're as big as you are. Not to mention, not many people carry big cash with them anyway, especially when they're buying in bulk. It's a nice store, new and clean, but they need to get their technology straight. read more

Worst experience ever! I ordered a tire over two weeks ago and have called multiple times to see when it will be coming in. The customer service women were rude and lazy took them forever to get up and walk over to the auto section (which is less than 20 feet from their work station). Absolutely Horrible service. This review is for the tire shop and I will stick to it. Worst experience every! Stay far away. Two employees working, I mean taking up space. Started off with 2 hour wait which I was fine with. 5 hours later still waiting!! Same vehicle on the rack as when I checked in. Zero tires installed. I was told I had one car in front of me getting 4 new tires. Let's do the math that's is an hour and 15 minutes per tire. A trained monkey could change a tire faster then that. I Waited for service for over 15 minutes at the tire department but was passed over for someone who just came in but was closer to the attendant than I was. When I complained it was ignored. I then complained to everyone who worked there on my way out the door. I called and complained to an assistant manager and she was to have the manager call me the next day. Three days later he called and added fuel to the fire by being condescending and arrogant and continuing to call me Mr. George after I repeatedly told him to quit calling me that. Mr. Marcus must have been a grammar school teacher but I'm no grammar school student and I prefer to be treated as an adult. As long as he is manager I'll go elsewhere. This was June 2016, my first trip to Sams since Dec. 2013 when the store was evacuated for a fire but all exits were blocked but the front main exit. I ordered 2 TV's first one was delivered broke and I was able to go to the store with it and return it for a full refund which was pretty quick. The second one was delivered damaged by fork cliff. I refused to sign for it and it went back with the shipping company. It took over a month to get my refund and I complained to a supervisor and they were suppose to give me a $25 credit towards another purchase but I never got it and I had to file two email complaints with corporate and no response from anyone and no help. This store is smaller than the one in Pineville, thus does not have the same inventory, which is a minus. The geographic area that it covers is much larger than the Pineville store and the next closest store is 50 miles away. The service desk is at the exit, and the line for the service desk spills out into the line to exit, making it a hugh bottle neck when the store is busy. This was poor planning on someones part. The receipt for your purchase comes out near the floor at the registers, making you have to bend over to retrieve it. Poor design. The cashier should have to hand you the receipt. The quick check out line will not take a check, only credit card, but not VISA, or a debit card. Where is the customer service here. The people working there are all very friendly and will try to help you find things. read more

As a business owner I shop on a weekly basis and spend lots of money. They still have not started carrying things I have asked them to which results in still going out of my way to go to pineville to retrieve these items. Recently I started the click and pull ordering to make it more convenient for me, and that is a joke cause I still have to wait in line and wait for them to pull the cold and freezer items. This SAMs club is very unorganized! Today however the pick up was a lot faster. Another down side to this Sams is the loaders. They will see females loading a vehicle and walk right past them and not even acknowledge let alone ask if you need help. Today as we rolled our carts out the lady said let me get someone to help you load that, to which I replied thank you very much. My daughter and I was loading as this SAMs employee walked right by us, not acknowledging us whatsoever! We had it almost done and the point is they are paying these loaders to help load but on many occasions I have witnessed them walk in the other direction if they see someone in the loading area needing help.
