This was one of the most disorganized Target stores I've visited. There were items scattered all over the floor in almost every aisle, making it look messy and difficult to shop. The most frustrating part was checking out. I found multiple boxes of waffles that were clearly marked with yellow clearance stickers showing they were 50% off. The tags never mentioned needing a Target Circle membership or any other requirement...they simply identified them as clearance items. When the discount didn't come off at the register, I politely asked the cashier about it. Instead of checking or asking someone for clarification, she told me that if I didn't have Target Circle, I couldn't get the discount because she couldn't scan it. That explanation didn't match what was posted on the clearance labels and showed a lack of knowledge about Target's own pricing policies. They refused to have anyone check and I had a photo of the isle. I wasn't upset about the money as much as the poor customer service and misinformation. Target is usually my Go-To for miscellaneous items...and I go to various Targets around Charlotte, as well as the one here in Rock Hill. I appreciate the overall cleanliness on the most part...and its massive inventory, of course. However, I had to point out something that's been bothering me for awhile. The women's clothing department is (and has been)...a MESS!!! For the past several months (maybe more?), I just noticed that there are these clothing items just thrown on the floors (by customers)...and they're just left there. I'm guessing that this department is understaffed...but I noticed that even when there is a staff member working in the area, the mess on the floor remains. They really need to find someone to pick up the junk on the floors...even if it's that's their only job requirement. As it stands, that department is beyond ridiculous! I don't think I've ever seen a clothing department look that bad at other Target stores, or even Walmart. I actually don't shop the clothes here, but I can't help but notice the mess when I walk around the store. It's so messy, I find it a bit gross. I personally don't think I'll ever buy clothes here. As much as I want to drop 5 stars, I just can't. They just need to find some employees to clean up the mess. That is all. read more

**Target Failed to Protect My Account and Failed to Help After Fraud Occurred** I recently experienced fraud involving my Target account, and the way it was handled by both the local store and Target corporate was incredibly disappointing. I do not live in South Carolina and never have. I received an email from Target notifying me that an order totaling several hundred dollars had been placed and was being processed. When I logged into my Target account, I discovered that someone had gained access to it and had changed the account information to include a fake phone number, and address. Using the payment method I had saved on my account, they placed an order for pickup at the Rock Hill, South Carolina Target. I immediately called the Rock Hill store. The employee confirmed the order had not yet been picked up, but told me there was nothing they could do to stop it or place the order on hold, despite my reporting it as fraudulent. I was instructed to contact Target's corporate customer service instead. Within approximately 30 seconds, I reached Target's customer support and explained the situation. By that time, I was informed that the order had already been picked up. The only advice I was given was to file a police report. I then called the Rock Hill store again seeking assistance in identifying the person who committed the fraud. Team Lead Walter Ferris told me that the employee who released the order might be able to identify the individual and that Asset Protection would review surveillance footage to identify the vehicle involved. He encouraged me to file a police report and said they would cooperate with law enforcement. I did exactly that. Unfortunately, according to the responding officer, neither the employee nor the surveillance review provided any useful identifying information. What makes this even more concerning is Target's stated pickup policy, which indicates that customers are required to either present a government-issued ID or scan the pickup barcode within the Target app. Neither appears to have occurred in this case. After receiving the fraud notification, I immediately deleted the app to prevent any further unauthorized access, so no one could have used my app to scan a pickup barcode. The person also would not have had my government-issued ID. This raises serious questions about how the order was released and whether Target's pickup verification procedures were actually followed. Most concerning of all is that someone was able to access my Target account, change my personal information, and use my saved payment method without any apparent safeguards preventing it. I expected Target to take this security breach seriously and provide meaningful assistance. Instead, I was passed between the store and corporate customer service, with neither taking ownership of resolving the issue. If you save payment information in the Target app, I strongly encourage you to review your account security and think carefully before storing payment methods. My experience left me with little confidence that Target adequately protects customer accounts or effectively responds when fraud occurs. read more

Looking for some light tshirts and we ended up with a lot more before we were done. Parking lot was clean of trash and the cart corrals were nearly empty. I found this Target to be up to the usual standards of the chain with well stocked displays, clean aisles, and shelves that were not missing any merchandise. In the fashion departments, everything was put away and there weren't piles of clothes that had been checked and stuffed back by customers. After putting some pajamas in the cart in men's wear, back over to women's where a few things were examined and I now have some ideas for Christmas shopping. Across the store to the grocery where we found a few things that were on the food shopping list and a few things that simply looked good. I normally don't review large box stores, but today I am. Honestly the best compassion and customer service I've experienced in a long time. I called at 9:55 PM, knowing the store closed at 10, and explained I wouldn't arrive until 10:02. I asked if there was any way I could still pick up my mobile order. The person who answered didn't hesitate--he checked with someone, and they said yes. I was so appreciative. When I pulled up, the guy was already walking out with my order, smiling and sweet as can be. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. He loaded everything into my car, thanked me, and wished me a great night. It may have been a small gesture, but it meant a lot. That kind of care and flexibility is rare--and it made my night. Easily the worst managed store I have ever seen in over thirty years of patronizing Target. The employees are rude, no eye contact. I spent a couple of hundred dollars and the cashier did not deign put my purchases in my cart. I had a chance to test customer service on the phone, it rung repeatedly without any answers. On the third try, I had a chance to speak with "someone in charge ". Equally as rude. The store was not even that busy but the employees were huddled up laughing and joking while neglecting the customers. Disgraceful. read more

Pharmacy screwed up my order and I can't talk to a real person. Recording gave me the run around for a half hour and then hung up. I tried the main Target number and they won't answer their phone. They have changed their phone system so there it is not possible to contact a human unless you drive over there and walk in. read more

Do we need four "security" people checking masks at the front being rude to people who's re already wearing masks? this place can be a mess sometimes and they've recently done something about the mob that would line up for the registers, blocking way towards the beauty section. the bathrooms i've seen in other targets are very comparable to this one and it is a disgusting mess. i've been told the mens bathroom is the same way but worse with feces and urine on the seats. went to a register and bought alcohol, the worker was underaged and had another employee help sign in, one was so rude to walk past and ignore the register so we waited about 5 mins for another worker to acknowledge this poor man and have some simple help. There's also workers on their phones and conversating and not working between the hours. it is a poor managed placed to see and something needs to be straightened out. read more

I have frequented this Target for years. I am a die hard target fan and probably always will be. If you've been to one Target, you've pretty much been to all of them. Only difference would be the size of the stores and locations of items. There are a couple things that however could improve at this particular Target. #1 The sanitizing wipes are usually always empty or not readily available. If they actually have them, I have to open the container myself instead of just pulling one out. No, it's not a big deal, I know. #2 The staff could be a bit more on the friendly side. Yes, there are a few friendly faces that have been their for awhile, but for the most part the rest remind me of unhappy Walmart employees. The customer service has slowly gone on a downward spiral. If I didn't love Target so much, I'd probably give 3 stars for customer service. Otherwise they could easily be 5 stars. read more

The store seems presentable enough. The fitting rooms are nice and clean. Haven't used the restrooms. I think their clothes are cut egregiously small. I am a large everywhere, but I only fit into a target size xxl. Guess they don't want a "people of Target" page like walmart. My biggest gripe above all else is their total disregard for their customers. They literally give zero ****s about their clientele or what they need/want. Today, for example, we picked up something that was very obviously well stocked. Got to the register with it and was told we could not purchase it until 8/1/18. The manager (if he can be considered such a thing) said that nothing could be done even though the rack was FULL of the very same things. He took the package away from us and said, "No. You can't buy that." When I explained that I am also in retail management and something so obviously the store's fault would not be held against the customer and would, in one way or another, be rectified. He just said, "Well, this isn't everywhere else. This is Target and we don't do that." Now, I remember why I boycotted Target for 10 years. Decided to give them one more chance. Good Target store. They recently changed their pharmacy to a CVS. Will had been working their a long time. He is the guy with dreadlocks. He is always friendly! I just don't like the wait...in line... to pick up a prescription. They usually have 1 register open and don't open another one until there are 4-5 people waiting in line. I'm sure they have limited people working at any given time, but this is during "rush hour" at around 5 pm when I assume a lot of people get off work and pick up prescriptions. They are nice, but need to be better staffed. read more

BETTER THAN WALMART. Come to target for several reasons. One of which is that you don't get the Walmart crowd. Rock hill target has been on the rise! I am loving the renovations. This is such an upgrade for the city itself, the aisles are easier to navigate than ever with higher quality clothing selections this is an all in one stop! I love target and being able to walk around for hours it seems like, for the magnolia collection to the Ulta-Esque beauty section. If you haven't been I highly recommend, you still might end up walking away with everything BUT what you came in for! read more

The Starbucks in this store use to be filled with amazing Barista, now whenever I go I wait over 30 minutes with only a person or two in front of me. The service is poor and the new Barista's are rude, especially the new team lead. I do not recommend this Starbucks. Most the time there shut down in the middle of the day anyways.
