I Recently purchased a Wal-Mart Money Card at the Wal-Mart Money Center. 30 min later I attempted to activate the card and found out the card had already been activated and cleared of funds. I contacted the numer on the card which is for GreenDot the actual issuer of Walmart Money cards. They stated that there were no funds on the card and wasted there hands of the problem. I contacted Walmart corporate and they referred me back to GreenDot. Once again GreenDot stated they could not do anything. So from a consumers perspective, it's buyer beware when it comes to gift cards. Because Walmart does not care and Neither does GreenDot. I basically have been told oh well so sorry. Do not buy any giftcard because you Money is not secure and neither the card issuer or the store cares about you. read more

Walmart's are Walmart's , and they attract a wide variety of people. Panhandlers are a turn off to me as well as many others. And they do hang out at Walmart. But there are other things I take into consideration with stores, (Walmart). Customer service I'm big on, as well as inventory organization, cleanliness. If you can't find a product or the right size, you shouldn't have to search the whole store. Yesterday I visited this store for a pair of sneakers, I wasn't pleased with the Hudson avenue store for a couple of reasons. I hadn't been to this store in awhile so decided to give it another chance. I had a question about size and a female employee was very helpful. I was impressed. I may also add the inventory in the departments I walked through was also neat and organized. This Walmart has really improved. read more

Today was a First. I use this Walmart because it is convenient. They have products I use. But if you need help, this is not the place to go. Today two people helped me. This is a first. Seems some big wig (Supervisor of some sort) was in the Building. Usually employees make a point of not making eye contact, and ignoring requests for help. The only persons who are helpful and kind before today, were the receipt checking guy at the front door, and the Automotive Department. Staff is generally Surly. And I imagine that will be the case once The Big Wig leaves the building. It is my belief that employees are generally unhappy when management or employer treats them badly. When employees are unhappy they treat customers poorly. So I've assumed management might be miserable, because their employees seem miserable. read more

Horrible experience during online shopping for tv, had to order the same item 3 times and kept getting a cancellation email after each order, spoke to 3 different customer service reps who were not very helpful (due to not being able to properly handle the situation) but the 3rd rep seemed to be genuinely sorry but putting in my card online 3 times makes me nervous and knowing the money is on hold for 24 hours adds to that. I will NEVER order a tv online from here again. read more

This Walmart has a known (bad) stigma among many Rochestarians... BUT, with that being said, our visit was actually not bad. I mean, this isn't the greatest Walmart in the history of Walmart stores BUT it also (surprisingly) wasn't the worst one I've been to. I came here for a car seat because somehow, with waking up at 3am in Texas, I managed to forget to bring my child's car seat on our trip. (Whoops!) LUCKILY, this Walmart is a quick 5 minute drive from Rochester International Airport. Store seemed relatively clean, employees were somewhat friendly and I was able to find the item I came in for. This has got to be the worst Walmart I've ever been too. I really do strongly dislike going to this location... but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet for convenience sake. The parking lot at this location is super littered with trash and some weirdly unexpected random items (ie, syringe, shoe, metal fork). In general, Walmart has just about anything you could ever want. But at this location... you will find an extremely messy array of products. Basically it looks like a tornado hit minutes before I arrive. I'm agreeing with Josh... "nothing Super in this center at all." Also, the customer service is by far the worst i have ever experienced. On a particular trip I was in need of assistance. I asked a worker who was stocking shelves for some assistance. I kindly asked my question and they replied... IN SPANISH..."no hablo ingles" and then walked away. What do you mean, you don't speak English. Did you not apply for a job here?? Aren't the applications in English? I was super confused and annoyed by this situation. This place is in dire need of a customer service and cleaning boot camp, STAT! On a positive note, this place is in a convenience location. Close to 390 and 490. Near the airport for those travelers in need of some last minute goods. This is your average Walmart where you can always find items at a low cost. The location is in a big plaza with lot's of other stores and restaurants (Starbucks yay!) This allowing lot's of parking spots everywhere. I came in here for some basic, cheap nail polish....mission accomplished! Super easy and fast.... The staff here is always helpful and friendly. Me and my girlfriend go here often because she loves the Walmart brand sparkling waters. Then since it's cold outside we'll do laps around the store to get our healthy steps in. As always they have low priced options on food and clothing. You get what you pay for buy they have plenty of decent options. It's not the most clearly establishment but it's good for a Walmart. It's convenient and I'm glad I have it close to home to go grab whatever I need. read more

I watched them racially discriminate against an elderly black lady accusing her of stealing as she was JUST starting the self check out process. I watched them escalate and call the cops on her. This is extremely disappointing to see coming from a company as big as walmart. But at this location in particular it comes of no surprise. On multiple locations i've watched them watch people of color like hawks watching prey while seeing people NOT of color actively stealing and not getting caught. I spectated the crew at self check out mostly on their phones or staring me down while ignoring the non-person of color right next to me. They came up to the register imm assuming to see if i actually paid (which i always do so jokes on them) honestly i'll continue coming here, and i'm going to just make a tiktok channel showing the absolutely horrible staff and service this walmart provides. I will document every case of micro or major aggressions towards POC. Probably easily one of the worse Walmarts I've been to. Parking lot is usually trashed, employees are rude and most don't talk to you or try to help you except for the ones who are checking receipts. They're usually the friendliest employees. Also what's the point of having 14 or 15 lines at the front end when at any given time no matter what time you go to this store there's only at best two registers open? Walmart needs to tear up all the checkout line counters and just install self checkout all the way down because I would guess at this rate robots would be more efficient at doing their job then the employees you've hired. Even the employees at the self check out lines are too busy standing around and talking with other employees instead of doing their job. Pretty sure Sam Walton would be rolling in his grave right now. This store has a negative stigma for a reason and the private security they have patrolling inside the store and outside should tip you off to go somewhere else. read more

I see not so great reviews but all I can say is that I found everything I needed while trying to get my kid settled for school. I was here at least three times (as the list kept changing as I worked to get my child settled and stocked up on stuff) Each time I went line moved great, everyone I asked for help was courteous and helpful as my normal Walmart is back in the DMV. I can usually find most of the things I want here. That's about the best I can say. This store always looks like a work in progress. There are carts full of merchandise left in the aisles (and I've checked to see if they belong to anyone), merchandise strewn all about the shelves and it's generally a mess. Either the Manager doesn't have enough help or the help isn't doing their job. My own personal contact with the people who work here has always been pleasant enough. Whatever, I don't like to bitch about a place but I'm trying to be honest. If you need a quick stop to pick up some forgotten item, no problem. It's a Wal-Mart, nothing short of being anything spectacular or eye catching but more or less underwhelming overall. Despite this particular branch being classified as a "Super Center", I found nothing to be super in this center at all. Layout wise, it's now or less the same as any other Walmart you can find anywhere in the world. It's not particularly neat but it isn't a total disaster with shelves still in order but not put away very well. It's easy to find your way around here but good luck to those trying to seek help. The customer service here isn't very good, at all. On many occasions, I have asked for help looking for certain items and I've either had a response of an "I don't know", a bad attitude, or I've just been ignored completely. If you can find help, pray that they won't outright treat you miserably since you don't need to experience the bad days that they apparently have. Location wise, this is still a good place for Chili residents who need food, clothes or other household goods at decent prices. Check it out if your in the general area but with the rude service waiting beyond the doors, you may want to try a better option just up the road. read more

Meh, it's a Walmart, what more really needs to be said? It's decent enough, not the cleanest Walmart I've ever been to, nor the dirtiest. You can do some fun people watching in this one. Service generally is surprisingly fast (we're talking Walmart fast, not Wegmans fast) here. I've found many Walmart check out lines are ridiculously slow, but this one is at least reasonable. I stay away from Walmart meat, prepared foods, and produce. I'll go to the Public Market or Wegmans for that stuff. But there are certain things I will buy at Walmart. Easy to get in and out of, with a Starbucks conviently located in the same parking lot area. read more

FYI truckers and expedites This one doesn't allow overnight parking! Even though I was parked here overnight, this morning before 8 a police officer comes by as I was walking my dog and tells me no parking overnight. I have a cargo van. I bought winter tires through this Walmart 2 years ago. Walmart installs them free if you buy them there. Well, I went to get them installed this year and was told they had a 2 1/2 hour wait, so I decided to go in again on another day at 7:30am, right after they opened and again they had a 2 1/2 hour wait. The worker also told me I could not install just 2 winter tires on my car, in spite of always having used 2 winter tires as my car is front wheel drive. I asked if they had any in stoke to price them and they did not. They don't sell winter tires. I used to go to this Walmart for oil changes and such, but will be taking my business elsewhere. This woman literally had 5 inch long nails that were curling from growing so long and sure wasn't letting her fashion get in the way of her big career as a Cash Register Jockey. Unfortunately for her and I, I had 2 items that wouldn't scan and the item code had to be entered into the register manually. Horrible customer service. Lost a receipt for work in a wind storm, and I live about 250 miles from the store. Called the store to get a replacement receipt. I had the transaction amount, the transaction time, the credit card used, and the products that were bought. Store manager said I had to come in to get a receipt and I said that was impossible as I live 250 miles away and was only in town for work. Spent about 10 minutes arguing with them to fax me or email me a receipt to no avail. Horrible customer service. read more

I wanted to buy my family a x mas tree and so I did what any parent of five children and wife of a man with cancer who is always having things to do would do went online to shop around to find a Xmas tree at the cheapest price for my children and husband to have for Xmas and online Walmart had a Christmas tree 7' pre lite Duncan fur for 69.00 and I was super excited was a great price said was available at my nearest store chili ave ny store so after getting all my Children off to school off I went to get our family a tree only to find out they were 89 dollars in the store and so I asked the manager ur ad online said it was for 69 and the response. I received was oh yea that's only online we will not match the price u have to buy online then u can pick it up in the store so simple solution to me was ok buy a Walmart gift card purchase online on my cell phone then be able to pick it up and take it home with me then and so I asked if that's ok they said no you won't be able to take it now we have to wait till we have some one to get it off the shelf and then put what ever stickers on it ( when I had already had the tree in my cart at this point ) and that could be a few hours before you could actually take it so I would have to purchase it now online then put the one of two left on the shelf back and come back in a few hours to pick it up because a worker has to do that for me ? Not to mention they told me they do this cuz they would rather u buy online then in their stores so because I did not have the means to buy it online I have to pay more. And yes I understand it's 20 dollar difference but when you are a mother of five with a sick husband and you are the only means to your family having a Xmas and supporting your home a budget is stick and a twenty dollar difference can change a lot for that budget. I am very unhappy with this service and it's sad when company's care more about themselves then their customers. I'm a firm believer in treat every one as kind as you can because you do not know what is going on in their own life's your smile and kindness could help them have a better day. This is a review of the Tire and Lube Express. I called on June 30 to verify that the Tire and Lube express opened at 7 am as the website said. They said yes. On July 1 I showed up at 7 am and all the outer doors were locked. I'm a reasonable person and know that not everyone is a morning person, so I went around to the front and waited. At 7:15 am I asked a worker what time the Tire and Lube was supposed to open, and she said 7 am. I told her there was no one there and asked if she could help me. She walked back, saw that there was no one there, and said "Sorry" before wandering off. I proceeded to wait until 7:25, when I just called the store from my cell phone. The woman who answered said that they were open at 7, so I told her I was standing back there and no one was there. She put me on hold, paged someone to Automotive, and eventually a man came from the direction of Paint and Hardware. He said that one of his techs had called out, but the other one should be there. After looking around (literally he went to the window and looked out) and banging on the wall, he shrugged. I asked him when I could expect someone to be in to change my oil, and he said MAYBE 9 am? I could not believe they expected me to wait another hour and a half to see if someone decided to show up for work. I explained that I had called twice and verified that they were open for business, and I was unhappy. While he did say "Sorry" that was about it for customer service. So if you want to try to get your oil changed here, be aware that the mechanics may or may not show up for work and that no one in the store seems to care if they do. read more

I moved carts out of the way so my car would be safe but ended up jamming my hand on carts... i told the managment when I got inside and they said "whatever, what do you want us to do about it then?"... also, whenever you need help, the associates try and sneak away from you. read more

I live nearby this store, which is the only reason I even go sometimes when I need to be quick, but I have never been treated to so rudely so many times like I have here. There's a sweet older man that greets and a few nice checkout girls, but aside from them, everyone has a bug about something! One cashier didn't say hello to me, didn't even look at me and started on my items before even saying goodbye to the woman ahead of me. I had already set my WIC checks on the table, of course they fell and got stuck and she just scowled at me and said that I should have said something before. Which would have been rude as the customer ahead of me hadn't even finished packing up her cart and hadn't been told goodbye! She huffed and puffed and made me feel bad all the while my infant was getting fussy. No one ever needs to add stress to a new mom that's clearly already flustered! A time before that, it was about 4 PM on a Thursday, which would be about the time it gets busy in a grocery store and going through the infant aisle was like trying to get a whale through a mouse hole. Carts filled with inventory just everywhere and when I asked about a particular sippy cup I had seen before the woman working the section just blew me off saying they don't have them, when I almost bought the cup days prior from that exact store! Don't make me out to be crazy! And lastly, the deli, there were 2, I repeat, 2 customers ahead of me that didn't order much meat or cheese and the kid behind the counter took, so...long. I quite literally waited in line for 20 minutes for a damned pound of turkey! A pound! He kept talking to his coworkers and just going as slow as he felt he should go. Then a woman came to join him and before she could even help me, she had to put away all the meat and cheese he and another worker left out! You can't freaking leave it out like that, you touchole! It's called a health and safety hazard! So the 20 minutes go by and he isn't even the one to help us, the girl was. I would not have been very pleasant with him anyways. That was the first time we bought deli meat in over a year, and it was such a terrible experience. Just like every time I make the mistake of not going to PriceRite or Wegmans instead.
