Just 3 items over their "allowed" 15. She would rather me abandon my cart right there than accommodate me. So I did. I don't have time for such ridiculousness. We've had bad experiences at this Walmart before but I've never felt so strong about leaving a comment before. I was checking out at one of the self checkout lanes with the belt, at the very front register there. I only had a few items and as I was scanning my items, I heard someone talking on their phone and just glanced over, like people do, and it was the Walmart employee who's responsible for watching that area. I went back to my items and was passing when the young lady who I had glanced over at asked me how I was doing today, I said I'm doing great, how about you? This employee then began talking to whoever she was talking with on her phone and started talking about me. Saying I was staring at her and then just kept talking about me, like I wasn't 4 feet from her. Spoke to a manager but I'm not confident that anything will be done about this behavior. I ordered a grocery delivery from this Walmart which included an order of assorted salami. I've never felt the need to check and make sure the food has expired bc quite frankly, I would think the stockers or at least the one fulfilling the order would at least glance and ensure that food wasn't expired before selling it to customers. My husband and I got extremely sick, and I spent my birthday in the Emergency Room with the worst food poisoning I have ever had. When I came home and checked out the packages and tried to figure out what made me so sick, I found that the package of salami they delivered to me EXPIRED NEARLY 2 MONTHS before I placed my order!!! As with any Walmart there is nothing perfect about this location, but they are still a great value. I do not like that more and more of Walmart stores are adding more and more self checkout. O was in this location around noon today and they only had 2, yes 2 cashier's open. I do not mind using the self checkout when I do. It have a full cart, in fact I prefer it, but when I have a larger amount of items I do like to be checked out. The store is what it is. They have groceries, clothes and all the other items that Walmart is known to carry. Their baked goods section is one of the better I have seen on the area. It's a Walmart nothing more nothing less. My wife's purse was stolen along with her credit cards. Three of her accounts were all charged $1514.82 from WM Supercenter #44 in Raleigh, NC. How can Walmart be so completely complicit in this theft from my accounts? I'm guessing these were gift cards. Redeemable of course. All charges were made around 3:30PM on Monday, 3.29.21. I've notified my credit card companies but it upsets me that Walmart isn't trained to recognize and stop such a fraudulent activity. No ID must have been provided and probably wasn't requested. Don't recommend the pick up service here. Substitutions we're terrible, produce was poor quality, woman who put groceries in my car put bread in the bottom and also didn't ask me about substitutions. She was on phone the whole time and using bad language (my young children were in the car having to hear it)! Walmart customer service fixed it later - refunded me the substitutions. I have been to this @Walmart a few times. Easy to stop in for groceries, photos, pharmacy, or whatever floats your boat. One thing is that the pharmacist here doesn't even bother to check your discount card in the computer system to see if it works. She just looked at my printout, and said that they will not accept it because anybody can slap Walmarts name on it, but they wouldn't get paid for it. My thing is, just enter it into the computer and check. So since she refused to check, I took it across the street to Target and save $51 over the price that the Walmart pharmacist quoted me on that prescription. I did get a couple of other prescriptions filled there, because they have me a cheaper price quote on them. I do find this location a bit better looking, and staffed better that some of the other Walmart locations in Raleigh. They also have a couple more cashiers available than most Walmart. Another Walmart, another "meh." I am so not a fan. My first time in this Walmart as well. Why I don't like this one? Upon entering the front doors, the place stink stank stunk of mildew. Instant allergy reaction, sneezing uncontrollably. As my bride & I walked through some of the aisles, I swear the smell of rotten meat started to emanate from somewhere on the shelves. My guess - someone had a change of heart about something they had planned to purchase from the meat department, and instead of returning it, dropped it off somewhere it didn't belong. Gag reflex had to be choked down. The clearance shelves were a mess, rifled through and turned topsy turvy. Three registers open in the whole store... there had to be thirty unmanned registers. We were lucky to find an express lane open and actually had to wait for the checker to show up to the lane - they were off somewhere else and had left the light on. On the positive side, LED Christmas lights were 1/2 off. Have your smartphone with you to compare prices for name brands such as LEGO. You may just find out the LEGO store is sometimes less expensive. Seemingly better than some other WalMart stores i've been in around here (i.e. Wake Forest, Durham and Oxford), but just not my cup of tea. read more

I went to this location 2 days in a row. between the two days I spent around $150. upon leaving the first time I was yelled at by a very tall employee who was checking receipts for not presenting my receipt, this time I pushed passed him and did not allow him to illegally detain me. The next day I was physically stopped by the same door guy, he loosely grabbed my arm/cart as I was leaving. He then required my receipt and proceeded to illegally search my cart until he found it. After he found it he tossed my shopping bag back into the cart (damaging a caned soda) and read through it. He found nothing wrong and allowed me to leave. This was around 9pm on 5/21/22. I will be back again tomorrow, but this time to speak to a manager, your store is not allowed to require receipts at exit, illegally detain, illegally search and seize property, and physically stop someone from leaving your store without evidence that a crime has been committed. If this door person had been any more aggressive that he was I would have contacted the police and potentially pursued legal action. The door person was American American, bald headed, in his mid 60s, and was unusually tall (6'5" or so). read more

I'm never coming to this Walmart again. As many times as I used to come, the customer service is always bad! I especially had a bad experience with Pickup. Order was supposed to be ready at 5pm-6pm as I was stopping by in between jobs to pick up. Got an alert a few hours before saying it was delayed. I went and sat for 45 mins hoping the delay wouldn't be too long as I was not able to come back later in the day. I get an alert the next day saying my order is ready for pickup so I again go at 5pm in between jobs. The app wouldn't let me check in as many people who were currently there and waiting on their orders had issues with. The phone was not being answered as it wasn't the previous day either. I sat in the parking lot for ten minutes before I had to pull off with no order. The next day my order was cancelled...... never again will I shop or place an order here. read more

This is probably the best choice of Walmart near me. It's not my first choice but when I am looking for a cheap basketball for my son it was my best bet; you really can't beat $4.88. The store upon arrival was what you will expect from a Walmart; packed. The food area had stuff on the floor and it wasn't very clean. The rest of the store seemed organized near the toys and stuff. The bathroom to my surprise was decent. It did have an interesting smell. The cashier that checked me out name was Landice and she was really nice + personable. She made sure that she asked us if we wanted to open up a Walmart credit card which is one of their new requirements. The lines were long as well but I do like that they offer self check out. They had plenty of baskets inside the store too. The parking is also okay, Walmart is always packed so if you find a park upfront you are doing great. Overall just alright but I recommend this location over the other Walmart any day. read more

On 1/5/15, I visited this store and an assistant manager told me that they do not honor requests for price matching, and that they only matched prices during the holiday season. I asked if they would honor a walmart.com price for the same product; she said no. Interesting, because the corporate policy says otherwise: http://corporate.walmart.com/policies/our-online-price-match-policy I called on 1/9/15 and I was told by a customer service representative that they do not match prices. I told her that I was reading otherwise in the corporate policy, and she placed me on hold at my request to speak with management. 15 minutes later, I hung up and decided that I'd never shop at #Walmart again. LESS THAN ONE STAR - DO NOT order online grocery delivery from this store. We were counting on a $280+ order to be delivered as the ONLY food for an 81 year old woman who has no transportation - WalMart said it would be delivered between 8-9am - then at 9am said order was delayed. They said the driver picked up the food and then their GPS could not find the address - we had ordered from them before with no issues. None of this was updated on our account so we had assumed the food had been delivered. Then we had to call to find out when they would bring it...they said be there by 7:30pm but they were not. Then we called WalMart corporate who could not get resolution and said they are putting a rating on this store to show they did not do this job correctly - we had to get a refund and go to Instacart for food to arrive the next day. We will NEVER shop with this Raleigh Wal Mart again. When someone is counting on this food this is unacceptable - we were even willing to pay a driver to go pick up the food - this store would not answer their phone for us or Walmart corporate - horrible management and if I were with Walmart I would investigate what is going on here. read more

My 3 year old was so excited to look at the "dori's" when he saw the fish tanks. Now, I always see dead fish at any Walmart when I walk by their live fish tanks, but today at this location was beyond anything. Dead fish PILED UP on the filters...clearly have been there for weeks/months in numerous tanks....two of them were the worse (on the bottom row). I was literally nauseous the remainder of my shopping trip from the sight and my son kept/keeps bringing up the dead fish and how sad he is for them. What the hell walmart? This Walmart gets three stars for being new, nice, and generally clean. While I've always had great experiences with the staff, I'll never understand why they underman the store. There are probably thirty registers, and I've never seen more than ten open. That's annoying, especially when the store is super busy on Sundays or after work hours. First of all I used my debit card was told it's not going through to keep inserting it then was told to use a different card so I did. Transaction went through got home then saw I was charged on both cards. Worst customer service ever. Gals chatted up like they were at home, never asked if anyone needed help. One chomped on a huge piece of gum and constantly had her mouth open to chomp. u seen the gum plain as day. Spit that gum out, and bring some decent customer service or go home. We were there a good 20 mins , one person ahead of us with 4 people working registers they all were talking to each other with only one customer there. One was a worker buying a soda. That took 20 mins. Never a nod, we will be right with u, nothing. I am not prejudice, I am from Detroit, but if u r a white or Hispanic family especially u will be waiting a very long time. This place unfortunately doesn't care about there customers. The customer service girls were extremely unprofessional. They were talking to each other like they were on a lunch break and I would have to repeat everything I said cause she wasn't paying any attention. Who ever the manager may be definitely need to take classes on how to show there employees what to do and how to behave properly.
