I just had to visit the Walmart in NY. They have a nail salon inside which i never seen in California. Staff seemed helpful, they also have subway and huge selection of furniture. read more

I love this place friendly people great food great atmosphere. I love coming here. And plenty of parking too.

I've had both good and not so good experiences. There are a lot of friendly employees and some that I feel shouldn't be working there. I'm short and sometimes can't reach something and have actually had someone once tell me that it wasn't their job. I could almost feel Sam rolling over in his grave. If I can't find a tall customer I go over to the broom section and get a broom to "pull" the item down. Then I have had times when one of the employees in the electronics department actually took me to what I needed. He made sure there was someone to cover the electronics area. And some of the people from straight talk really need to care about the customers and not ignore them. read more

This is the newer Walmart in town, been open for a few years now & just went through a grand reopening. Fairly clean & organized here, but often out of stock or very low on produce items, bakery items, and some other fresher stuff. The number of open checkout lanes is more than the usual, but still very few compared to how many they have at the store. This location also often seems to have people outside fundraising, asking for donations, etc. to the point that it's a surprise to NOT see someone outside asking you for money. Plenty of parking though & a traffic light right at the end so it makes exiting and entering super easy. read more

Not for the first time, I am utterly disgusted by how absolutely filthy this store is. The conveyor belt on EVERY register is filthy. The floors are filthy, and the workers, front end, etc, are slovenly. I went there for the prices, and it is frankly not worth it. TARGET is very clean, has comparable prices, they don't charge for paper bags, and GIVE BACK to the community. I will most certainly go a few minutes out of my way to shop elsewhere from now on. Somewhere that I don't feel like I need a shower when I get home. read more

I came here for groceries on a weeknight, and I only visited the market section. I have to say, I was not impressed. This is a somewhat older Walmart, and in some ways its age shows. It has had some facelifts, like the newer market section, a fancy new exterior, and self-checkouts. The store needs more attention, and that includes upkeep. The biggest problem for me in the grocery area was the dirt. The floor was cracked and chipped in many places, really scuffed up, and it looked like it had not been cleaned or even swept in about 12 hours. I even saw one wastebasket with a pile of dirt behind it, as if someone had tipped it over, and they righted it without bothering to put the spilled dirt back into it. As far as prices, I didn't see anything jaw-dropping. Beyond the usual loss-leaders, the prices for things I buy were comparable to Hannaford. The rest room wasn't that great either. It wasn't filthy-smelly, but it again looked like it had not been serviced in a while. The paper towel dispenser was empty, and on the wall was the smallest most inefficient hot air hand dryer I have ever seen, and just 1 of them. There was no one manning the stand at the self-checkout area when I used it, and not all the self-checkout stands were working. The parking lot was a little crazy too. It looked like no one had retrieved shopping carts in a while either. read more

To Whom It May Concern: My husband and I just left the Walmart on Quaker Ridge Rd. in Queensbury, N.Y.. We had purchased 6 items. The store only had Register 6 open. The self cash out had lines out to the make up and at the other end of the store the self check out line went into the womans active wear. Getting back to Register 6 that line was 7 deep. I counted. When I asked if another register could be open I was told that they didn't have the staff to open another register. As a customer I do not care about your multi- million dollar business not having enough staff. What ever happened to 3 customers in line, customer service call up another register person? In the meantime I saw 6 people up front doing literally nothing. 3 associates were talking about their personal life. I over heard them and they were talking about car issues. 2 of the associates were on their cell phones. The other associate was just standing with her arms folded. This is the second incident in 2 weeks I had an issue with this company. I have decided not to continue shopping at any of your stores. Loved the fact of having a super store close by, for the convenience. Well thats the plus side, the downside are the employees. Not sure if they are treated poorly or they have just chosen people that have no people skills. No one greets you when you need help in a specific department and most of the time go out of their way to ignore you. The deli is the worst, as if they have to slice meat or cheese for you its beyond them. Now the implementation of self check outs. If it weren't bad enough before getting someone to check you out or assist, now you have to fend for yourself. What happened to Walmart and Sam Walton's ideals???? I can honesty say there are none. This kind of behavior is not acceptable and shouldn't be the new normal. We are better than that and Walmart should be too! read more

This is the cleanest and most well-organized Walmart I've ever visited. What a treat! I seriously doubt Walmart has really changed since I've been living in NYC (note there are no Wal-Marts in NYC)... but what I'm used to are the dingy, packed, & unorganized North Carolina and Louisiana locations. I'm guessing that the franchise is now building new stores that are smarter and more aesthetically pleasing as opposed to the old institutional design that once formed the archetypal Walmart. If I ever return to the Queensbury, NY area, I'll definitely visit this Walmart again... I felt like a kid in a candy store there!! read more

This place is a disgrace. Shelves are hardly ever stocked. Bathrooms are not sanitary (putting it nicely), Customer service is poor, and they can't seem to get orders right. I ordered my son a toy (the only thing he wanted for Christmas) and sent my husband to pick it up. He got the box and upon opening it, it was the wrong one. He attempted to get help and was told very rudely by a blonde woman named Amanda that customer service was closed and she is not opening it up. Never even suggested when he could return. Went there to get some food shopping done about 7am, April 2nd. Walking in with a pronounced limp and obviously in a lot of pain from health issues with my left ankle over the past year, the front end employee,( Brett, I believe), came out to the parking lot to help me as I was hurting. This is a nice gesture in these troubling times and he should be recognized for his kindness. By the way, he brought out an electric scooter cart thing and didn't break any rules about social distancing, so he also adhered to the stores rules. Good man! read more

I am a disabled senior who loves to go shopping .. I cant walk very well, Without a Electric Shopping Cart, I have to wait until one becomes available .. or leave ! I've done both . Most have low battery life, one customer finishes using it, another always waiting to use it .. I must hurry with my shopping for fear of the chair quitting in back of the store, that's happened too, more than once ! Have some respect for the Senior Citizens who shop in your store !! The deli workers are absolutely terrible. I stood at the counter for 5 straight minutes, the lady was cleaning the floor, looked at me probably 5 times, and went right back to doing what she was doing. I finally had to yell to her and ask if the deli was open? She responded with, yeah sort of......it's only me here, and reluctantly took my order. Where do they find these people? They obviously lack ALL customer service skills. This has happened to me numerous times, all in the deli. The rest of the store employees seem great, but the deli is the worst I have ever encountered. read more

It's Walmart. Not as big or as much of a selection as the Route 9 Queensbury Walmart but it does the job and it is closer than the route 9 one. Haven't had issues with any employees. Overall it is a decent Walmart. read more
