This has become my go to place for certain items like plantains, lime, cilantro and plain yogurt. This time I also bought carrots, It was an eye catching bag with 5 lbs of fresh large carrots. I had not seen this brand, Bolthouse, earlier. I had no idea of buying carrots but they were too tempting. Bought a 5 lb bag. There was a 1lb bag, it looked fresh, but the carrots were slightly smaller. Came home and grated a a little more than half of it for making an Indian dessert called "Gajar Halwa" It is a milk based pudding with carrots. I also grated another 3 large ones to make a fresh salad which we make at home with shredded carrot, shredded cheese, chopped red onions and chopped cilantro. Tasted the carrots as I was grating and they were sweet and fresh and delicious. We are going to enjoy our lunch today. Thanks to Walmart and Bolthouse for these carrots. read more

Pertaining to online orders and delivery: Two horrible experiences in past 6 months. Most recent involved purchase and delivery of a Hamilton Beach spray iron, purchased on 8/13/26 and delivered on 8/14/26. The product was shipped in a flimsy, non-protective 'envelope' which afforded zero cushioning from jolting, dropping, throwing or stacking on truck, etc. When I opened the outside wrapping, I immediately observed a weathered-looking box that contained the iron. It was partially torn and dented in on one corner. Opening the box, I observed that the rear of the iron had partially separated from the unit and the wires were exposed. The box was missing packing materials and there was no sheet or leaflet with operating or registration directions which are typically included with the purchase of an electrical product. This led me to believe that the box had been previously opened and most likely returned to the store. There are obviously several issues of concern present in my experience; poor/careless quality control, improper shipping procedure, and most importantly, deceptive sales practice in leading consumer to trust that a 'new' product is being ordered and would be delivered. When I reported this to a live agent (which is a complicated process in itself), I received the customary and less-than heartfelt response of "I am sorry for your inconvenience, we'll be happy to make a return." A lesson learned for me, I will NEVER order ANYTHING from Walmart again. It is just not worth it. YELP HAS IDENTIFIED THIS REVIEW AS COMING FROM CA. NOT ACCURATE! Absolutely the worst experience EVER. I bought one item at 4:24 pm. All the self checkouts were pretty much closed and the 2 open had lines. So I went to checkout #5. The young man NEVER said a word to me. I had 1 item...he rang it up and gave me the completely wrong change and closed the drawer. I told him he shorted me and he almost had a meltdown. Didn't know how to open the register, then finally figured it out and had zero clue what change to give me back. He owed me $2. I told him it was very simple. I needed 2 more ones back. He was pissed at me for wanting my change. Still never said a damn word to me. I tried to call to speak to a manager and guess what....nobody answers. Worst visit to ANY Walmart EVER. I really used to like this Walmart. While I have had a few negative experiences here, today was really over the top. I don't appreciate being spoken to like a child and treated like a piece of dirt but today I had the worst experience at any Walmart. I usually shop on a Saturday in the early morning but this week I had to shop on a Sunday morning. I always use the self-checkout since there's not a lot if any regular checkouts open. During the pandemic, I got used to self-checkout. So, this morning, I lined up as usual and there wasn't a lot of people. I wanted to wait for one of the bigger kiosks and was ordered by an incredibly rude employee that I had to go to the next kiosk that opened up. I had never been told this on a Saturday and the employees were a bit more pleasant. My partner got incredibly angry and asked for a manager. The manager came over and I explained the situation. I told the manager that their employees need to be taught some manners and to be a bit nicer to their customers. I paid for my groceries and left. I will not be returning to this Walmart on a Sunday ever again. They need to train their employees better. If I'm not hurting anyone or preventing anyone from checking out, isn't the customer always right? Nah, of course not. The employees at this Walmart just want to argue with their customers and make them not want to return ever again. Definitely contacting Walmart headquarters and I've already filled out one of their surveys. Hopefully, something will come out of this. read more

I'm not a frequent Walmart shopper, but I do sometimes stop in here if I need something specific. Obviously the fact that this is a Walmart Supercenter automatically improves the chances of finding things I need here, particularly in the grocery section. That said, usually when shopping here I'm searching for home items that I need immediately, for a specific reason, and at an awkward time of the evening when a lot of other places have closed for the day. But even though I never leave here empty handed, this supercenter still has the same design flaws every Walmart has. The lighting, store colors, and layout work together to make everything feel claustrophobic and hard on the eyes. So while it's a convenient place to shop in a pinch, I'm certainly not on track to be a regular. I'm just someone who knows when to accept her fate and work with the options available to her! read more

I have to say I am not a Walmart fan at all. I was in the area and needed a few items. I make the same mistake every time thinking i can get in and out quickly. The store is big and ha tons of product. the store is clean and the staff where fine. My problem always arises when it i time for checkout. This Walmart has the usual departments, including clothing, office supplies, electronics, furniture, toys, health and beauty products, a separate grocery section, etcetera. I visited this store with particular products in mind, but some of the products were available only on Walmart's website and were out-of-stock in this store. For example, this store's selection of pet food bowls was small, so I ended up not buying any. Nonetheless, I still purchased many items from my shopping list, including cleaning products, health products, a cat toy, and mail supplies. The prices were low compared to some other stores. I waited several minutes in line, which is typical, and the cashier was attentive. The women's bathroom was fairly clean, although the toilets could flush slightly better. read more

Buyer beware! I had ordered a microwave oven along with several other items from Walmart via online. The order was delivered the following day and instead of receiving a microwave I received a large pack of paper towels. I immediately filed for a return / replacement and Walmart sent return instructions along with a reship verification of the oven. Walmart cancelled the reship order the following day and I had returned the pack of paper towels, via FedEx, the following Saturday. Walmart received the return that coming Monday. I never received a refund from Walmart. After having to go through the biggest refund hassle I have ever been through I had to file a complaint against Walmart with the Better Business Bureau over a month later. So, you know how it is. You have to travel and you think you've packed everything and then you get to the hotel and realize you forget to pack your pajamas! Well that's what happened to a co-worker of mine, who like me, had traveled into Pittsburgh for a week-long planning session. So she was planning to go here to shop and I decided to tag along as didn't want to go back to the hotel. We went and found a good selection of sleep ware - not as many pure cotton options as my co-worker would have liked, but she did finally find a pair that did the job. After that selection, we wandered thru the store a bit, and she picked up some presents for her kids, so that gave me the opportunity to be impressed by the toys selection here. The gentleman working this section was also very helpful. I thought it was interesting that this store had a MASSIVE selection of Penguins memorabilia and also that its overall selection was fairly different from what I've found in Walmart's located in my home state of Florida. Its nice to know Wal-mart isn't all cookie-cutter in its selection! The kid that loaded my car smashed two loafs of bread by putting them in underneath of everything else.. Then I drive all the way home (20 minute ride) just to find out they didn't put any of my items from the frozen foods section in my car, must still be in the freezer.. I don't know how many times at this location that I was literally pushed out of the way to benefit someone else. It wasn't like I needed much. I was waiting in line to checkout and people were attempting to just walk right in front of me so they could checkout faster. I'm sorry, do you need somewhere to be, some important meeting at the camo cutoff shirt convention. Then to give me a rude look as I actually said, "Oh, you were next, excuse me for standing here and waiting just a little bit longer than you." I'm not here to sight see buddy. Man, this store truly sucks any more!! First of all, it's become ridiculously difficult to find things there--they near constantly move things around. Today, it took a team of cooperative customers--myself included--to help a lady find the superglue. Next, SO many different products have vanished. They've just stopped carrying them. And lastly, they are out of tons of things--3 things I needed today weren't stocked! And don't even BOTHER to ask the rare employee you may encounter to check and see if there's more anywhere--either you get an "I don't know", an "I don't work in that department", or a thrown over their shoulder as they hurry away "No". If you come here on a Sunday expect it to be packed. This place is busy whenever we've gone which pretty much seems to be prime time every time. Some of the aisles especially on the food side are tight and it makes for maneuvering around a chore at times. If people are stopped on both sides of an aisle you are basically blocked unless somebody moves. The non-grocery side is a mish mash of different things in different aisles with no real order to anything at all, again things can get tight as well. Garden center is to the very west front side of store and hardware automotive is just a little south of that besides that everything else up the middle is anything and everything. The pharmacy is to the right at the non-grocery entrance and McD's is to the left of the grocery entrance. For a store this size why is it only McD's that has the wifi for the entire store? It would be sort of nice to have full coverage in this place considering the size. The checkouts can be a little backed up at times. read more

This place is always packed. Long lines, half of the lanes are closed, slow cashiers and customers and the stuff is a hit or miss. Their grocery items are refreshed mid-week, always check expiry dates before purchasing anything food related. This Walmart is not as good as the one in Washington, PA but ok if you need to buy some household stuff at the lowest price, and you are in the vicinity. Prices are definitely better than Giant Eagle, but what it makes up in prices, it loses in appearances. Be very careful of people backing up their cars without looking back in the parking lot. For Walmart's in and around the surrounding areas of Pittsburgh this one is by far my favorite to come to. They always have things in stock others seem to run out of at times. It does get busy here but it seems all Walmart's are always busy. This one just seems to have more staffing. Stopped at Walmart Auto Center to get my oil changed and to just get a check on my Jeep. I didn't mind waiting the hour for it to get done, but the employee who was working the counter on Monday afternoon July 29th was so off putting. When I gave him my name for the oil change he said under his breath "dear god", he was telling other customers he was dealing with angry customers all day, and him and a female employee were talking about how they want to quit so bad in front of customers. He just talked down to customers too. My Jeep is finally done and they said everything checks out and that my battery is good. Well the next day I go to work my Jeep doesn't start. I call Triple A and guess what needs replaced. The battery. How can my battery just go bad in 24 hour? They definitely didn't do a check on the stuff I asked them to check out. Don't go into that McDonald's there. Once a shift is done there, the workers go over into Walmart to work their second job. Then they go back to McDonald's when they're done there. Scary. I can't wear NASCAR things. They have lots of that sort of apparel here. If Tod Browning was alive and could make a sequel to Freaks, he'd surely film it here. My mother and I visited this location with my daughter. The first thing we did was go over to where the McDonalds was, and have a bite to eat. McDonalds was not clean, and I felt uncomfortable being there. Trash was overflowing, they were insanely backed up and looked understaffed. When we finally finished and went into Walmart, it was fairly nice. The biggest issue I had was that a tornado touched down about 10-15 minutes from us, but there was no indication of any precautions made in the event it had come towards us.
