Ashlee in the SHV location not only helped me but was kind enough to help me look through the deeply discounted racks to find something I haven't seen in awhile that I loved in my size! Very nice of her! However when I was in shoes a group of employees were bad nothing a new employee and were being jerks. Made me realize why I never would work there again. I have occasionally shopped here, mostly for women's clothing. Other departments, spread across two floors, include men's, girl's, boy's, shoes, jewelry, handbags, cosmetics, furniture, electronics, and home decor. Shelves and racks are fully stocked with merchandise. Prices are low to moderately high. My favorite brand here is Calvin Klein, but this time, their selection of clothing was smaller than I expected. read more

It's been forever since I visited a large department store and I forgot how nice Macys is. This location had beautiful displays and it was organized and clean. We were looking for flower girl dresses and found many available here. They had great sales going on and the racks were organized by sized neatly. The clothes are well made and beautiful here. After browsing the store I will definitely return to a local Macys to see all the pretty things in one store. read more

Dropped my kid off at a birthday party. I got yelled at multiple times and threatened with a 15 min window. That if I wasn't back in the time frame there were gonna charge me to skate.. are you kidding me right now? Let me go meet the kids parents before I leave my child with them. Then my son who has never skated before got yelled at because he wasn't moving quickly enough on the boards. Also watched a girl get yelled at for not moving because she stopped to talk to her mother.. Rude absolutely Rude staff!!!! read more

There were several issues with this store that require upper management attention if they care. The staff are extremely rude, disrespectful, unfriendly. God forbid you catch them smiling, or having a welcoming tone to somebody who's about to spend money there. I caught some of them following customers around, eyeing them from top to bottom clearly judging them and presuming them as suspects of potential shoplifting, which is clear discrimination and profiling they will eventually catch a lawsuit just based on that.. Also there is a clear practice of false advertising and false price tags. They may have signs that says 20% of 50% discounts but at the time of checkout you find out discount does not apply and you are charged full regular price despite the sign posted by the merchandise Then they try to sway you into opening a store card so you can get such discount which is the oldest trick in the book, a slimy, greedy and sneaky practice quiet surprising for a name of a department store. So not only they fail basic courtesy and Customer Service skills. They also adopt pretty outdated money grabbing schemes. read more

This is one of the smallest Macy's I have been to so far. Selection of stuff to buy is limited, they do not have a lot of sale items/deals and the staff is not the most helpful. I have been able to snag some good suits here at a good price too but that is pretty much it. Again this is from a guy's point of view, however, my wife also seems to feel that the women's selection is decent but nothing worth the price tag. They do have a furniture store here but again selection is rather limited. I vote for the Macy's at Ross Park Mall to be 10x better than this one. read more

This is the Macy's in Robinson Town Center. I was here with my daughter buying a couple of items we both needed. One of the perks with Macy's is that if you forget your coupons they are linked to your credit card so they will "pop up" when you insert your card into the reader. They have had for some time a section called "last act" which is basically their clearance dept. Although you can find great end of season bargains in this department you can't use your coupons on them. The same is true with everyday values and a couple of their basic lines. They reward you through their Plenti points but I don't shop there enough nor have the minimum to use at this time. Still you can find a few good things there. My daughter ended up with a sleeveless hoody and a cardigan. I purchased a lightweight spring floral jacket and a winter pullover. I'm hoping the jacket will come in handy for my upcoming trip to NYC in April. The lady waited on us helped us both with fitting and with getting more bang for my buck with the coupons. I come here normally when they have major sales so you may see me at one of the larger locations. Yes, the carry name brand and some designer but expect to pay for it. Mall isn't that crowded so relatively easy to park. read more

For me, the odd thing about clothes shopping is that the most expensive items I come across tend to be the things I least want to wear. All I pined for was a somewhat dressy top to wear for an upcoming function, something that would look tasteful with a classy pair of jeans I already own. The first shirt I see is pink with bold, blue stripes. An abomination, it's $65. I spy another shirt, equally horrid, this one white and sporting...dots. $50. A brown v-neck sweater halfway catches my eye. It might work, but it's $40. After pulling back hangers for another 20 minutes, I spot a black, long-sleeved pullover. Unlike the majority of what I view populating the racks, it's masculine as opposed to emasculating. I won't look like a grade school math teacher in it. No dweeb would wear it. It's elegant, simple. It's in my size. It's so...very... me! It's only $14! The sales associate who rang us out Saturday evening scanned a coupon, taking another $2 off. As Kay pays for it, she says, "This is your weekend and my treat, Sexy Man." Can one put a price on that? read more

Went downhill. Very little cashiers and when you find them they are cranky. Them again they are paid very little. It's the very bare minimum and they are expected to cash out way too many shoppers. The quality is not what it was even 10 years ago. read more

Just went in to pay my bill and the check was returned because the woman behind the counter couldn't be bothered to answer my questions and pulled the check from my hand and put it through the reader before it was completely filled out. She was too busy talking to the associate next to her. The check was returned causing a late fee and returned check fee. Macy's credit says I have to speak to the store to get the fees returned. I don't live by this location and trying to get a manager on the phone here is completely impossible. read more

I shop at this store all the time for convenience even though the service is less than stellar and usually slow. I bought a Penn State t-shirt there last week. I wore it and washed it following the directions on the tag. It shrunk significantly in the wash. I took it back in to exchange it for the same shirt. I was told that once the shirt is washed that it can't be returned or exchanged for another shirt. So even if something washable shrinks or falls apart on the first wash it's store policy not to take it back. I spent $35 on the shirt. I just wanted another one. I'll never be shopping at this store again. Good luck on your failing business model. read more

The lady who works at Estée Lauder with short black thick hair and speaks broken English has no idea what she's doing. One time we asked for her to order us foundation online and she went to the computer and said it was out of stock. I went and sat down in a chair and ordered it myself 5 min later. I went a second time and saw her again so figured I'd give it a second chance. I asked for an item and she briefly looked and said we don't have it. This is one of my favorite Macy's stores to go to. The employees in this store are helpful and are available if you have questions or need assistance. Also, Kathy in Dior is amazing! I went in last month looking for make-up and she was able to find make-up that was great for my skin! My face isn't as dry and looks a lot better since this purchase. This store is a joke! I went in to purchase a dress for my daughter for her father daughter dance. She found a dress she loved and it was the only one of its kind in the store and happened to be her size. We tried it on and found a small hole in the train but i was willing to purchase it anyway since it was not visible. I took it to the associate at the counter mentioned the hole and she offered to have her manager give me a discount to which i agreed then we noticed the whole bottom of the dress was shredded up and completely DISGUSTING brown and dirty all over the dress clearly worn destroyed then returned and the employees put it back out for sale in this condition! She assured me she could order a new one to be shipped to our house for us. I got my emails with confirmation and shipping to find that the dress ordered was not the right one not even remotely close to what we wanted and was not even the right size! I asked for a 7 in a blue dress and was ordered a pink size 12 plus! I cannot reach the store the store number goes to a service center and they tell me they try to reach the store and no one will answer. Customer service on the phone has been HORRIBLE rude nasty refuse to even let me speak hang up on me mute me and never come back to the call. They refuse to do anything wont refund me nothing. I was told sorry you'll just have to wait til it comes then return it for your money back. Their screw up and they refuse to do anything for me about it! We created our wedding registry with Macys and went to purchase an item off of it after the big day. Although we have had several great customer experiences at Robinson Macys, we were blown away by the way Gift Registry Constultant Wil Wentzel. What an absolute gem you have! My husband and I both have careers in sales and customer service and Wil still managed to wow us. Not only did he tell us what a great product we were getting but he also took the time to explain the benefits of the Registry program. Wil had a positive and engaging demeanor and gave us his card after the transaction. I love Macy's. It usually has so many great designs at fairly decent prices. Not a lot of great deals at this Macy's. Nothing looked good and everything was fairly pricey from what I normally see. I walked around the entire men's section (one of the smallest I have ever seen) and was surprised to find that absolutely nothing caught my eye. I stood at an empty check-out in the women's department (awkwardly) while two sales associates talked to each other and completely ignored me. I had already made a purchase in another department and only needed to ask where the restroom was. I was incredibly frustrated. My sister asked me if I found out where the restroom was and I said that the associates had not helped me. They both responded that they were busy. Clearly busy helping no one. read more

Way too expensive for cheaply made men's shirts. Then it's hard to checkout. They really want you to open a credit account with them. Then they have a scheme to get you back into the store. They will reduce the price if you let them store your items for you to pickup a week later. If you say no they won't give you the in store discount either. read more

Such a rip off. Their " 1 day sale" goes on for 3 days at a time so don't rush to get in there. Also when they give you those coupons, they won't work on a lot of the things in the building. I worked here for far too long to get excited when they have any type of sale. They raise the prices on the clothes and especially the clearance so that you think your getting a good deal. This is a Macy's. Although the staff tried to be helpful, some were not very knowledgable. I bought an item from Macy's on line, but it arrived damaged. Because I wanted it for an event, I looked on line to see what Macy's had the item in stock so I could exchange it. I went to the Robinson mall Macy's. When I arrived I asked the first staff person I saw where I should go to exchange it. Well, 4 staff later I finally got it exchanged. Some of the first staff I spoke with sent me to the wrong department (this happened twice). Finally some one told me the right area in the store and the staff member there was able to complete the exchange and match the on line price which was lower than the current in store price. So of the 4 staff members I interacted with 2 told me wrong information. Perhaps this Macy's would be fine if you are interested in just looking around on your own; not so good if you actually want help. read more

The Men's selection seems to be decreasing each year so I've been forced to make most of my purchases online. For the most part it works out great and their return policy is fantastic but the last time I placed an order I made the mistake of calling their customer service line because it showed items available at a store yet it wouldn't let me do a purchase online for in store pickup which was a total nightmare. Email confirmation showed the wrong color pants had to call back to get it right only to find out they had placed 8 transactions on my account from cancelling and reordering and applying my discount and gift card. I was on the phone for 4hrs that night after being hung up on and transferred several times . Finally I spoke to a supervisor that understood and took care of the problem with my bank on a 3way call so I could get the 7 unnecessary charges removed. A $40 purchase ended up having $465 pre authorized debits on my account and I wanted them removed immediately not having to wait days to check back to find out if they cleared. Never again will I call their customer service for anything. I will stick to ordering online read more
