Walmart grocery delivery sucks. Drivers with pants around their ankles, broken-down old cars with no A/C, always trying to force HUGE tips in the app. So I tried their 30-day free trial of in-home delivery, where tips are supposedly included. As soon as I tried to schedule my delivery, it told me there was a FOUR HOUR WINDOW for delivery. F&*k that! Then I wasted 15 minutes trying to cancel this appalling service, and of course the app is useless and can't cancel because of technical difficulties. I hate walmart delivery. read more

They close at 11 and we pulled in at midnight after driving all day and we needed to rest our eyes for only a couple hours because we had become extremely sleepy on the road. Within ten minutes of us arriving, we were rudely awakened by the Walmart security banging on our door. As soon as we rolled down the window they said "the property is closed. You can't stay here." And proceeded to walk back to their little truck and ignored us when we tried to explain we only needed to rest our eyes. Then they sat in their truck and waited sitting there until we left. Clearly this location cares more about their parking lot being spotless (during the hours when it's closed and no one is even shopping, mind you) than they do having sleepy/drowsy drivers on the roads. read more

Terrible Walmart location. I was denied entry when an employee noticed I was open carrying. I explained that I have the right to have a firearm for my safety as Arizona is an open-carry state. Open carry is legal in Arizona for any person who is at least 18 years old (I'm 25) and can legally possess a firearm. I don't recommend this Walmart location to anyone. read more

They have one person able to assist in the bakery/deli/hot food area & if you see someone else who looks like they're working, they are probably on their break they'll tell you-- unable to help. If you wanna die in a excruciating way! Go to Walmart on 19th Ave and Bethany home and wait to have someone help you with the tide pod case. I have no way to ping anyone. I've called the store operator 10 times they have yet to send anyone I can't go anywhere else because it's the only store open. Then they tell you your pods are at the self check out. They walk your tide pods over there like they're prisoners. Which I understand because it's in not so nice area, yet they lose my tide pods when I get there so then I have to wait another 10 minutes for someone to find them. I had the worst customer service. At the time of my visit, I was on oxygen and I needed a electric shopping cart. The entrance that I entered didn't have any on the side I was on. So, I asked door greeter Adrian if he could check to see if there was more electric shopping carts at the other entrance since he had a walkie talkie and he could communicate with the other greeter at the other door entrance. Rudely he replied there all on the floor. As one customer is going out of the store on a electric shopping cart Adrian tells me that I can go (do his job) chase down that customer for the cart. He was long gone by the time I tried to catch up with him. Your associates need better customer care and to be considerate of customers that are handicap that are not elderly. As you enter, the store has a sign about social distancing and keeping 6 feet apart. I went inside to grab a few items, when I wanted to checkout, I realized they only have 1 regular register open with the DIY check out on both ends covering everything else. Each DIY line, had at least 15 people waiting. And of course, nobody is standing 6 feet apart. This was a Friday night. The store was packed. Why does this Walmart have only 1 regular register open ? This store should be closed down if they don't want to take appropriate precautions. I walked out. I did this exact thing because I forgot to bring a jacket with me to Phoenix and for those of you who don't know, Phoenix does get chilly in the winter. It was fricking crazy in here. Wally World sure does attract a lot of strange characters, like moths to a light! First off, parking is horrible here ... on any day, at any time I have struggled here. Secondly, it's crowded and loud. From people yelling on their phones, calling for their screaming, temper tantrum children and overrunning the aisles with their carts. Thirdly, it's unorganized. Shelves can be seen unstocked, items all over the floor ... Finally, the service here is slow. Yes, the cashier are in no hurry to take their time. The only reason I've ever come to Wal-Mart was to buy basic stuff for the apartment upon moving in and to look for scrubs which they didn't carry anything less than a Large or XLarge. Sure the prices here are dirt cheap, but the environment, clientele, service and quality of their items are questionable. read more

I have friends that live out in this area and have had those sad moments of having to stop at Walmart. I think ALL Walmarts are nasty. But this one takes the cake! They have a little paper hung up in the restrooms like somebody is cleaning the bathroom every hour. LMAO!!! What ever! I had to use the restrooms so badly one day and had to use their restroom. It stunk, as usual and it looked like a pack of monkeys went through it trying to distroy the place. There are knobs broken, funk growing around the toilets, nasty stuff smeared all over the place and toilet paper all over . The ground is always wet by your feet.... There wasn't 1 bathroom stall that I could go into and even clean up a little to use the restroom. I ended up having to hold it till I got back to my friend's house. I swear, everytime I go to Walmart we all catch some kind of cold or stomach bug with in 1-3 days later! Quality of their products: I used to work in a distributing warehouse a long time ago and I can tell you, "you get what you pay for!" Name brand Companies (like Fisher Price, V Tech, even Sony, etc) make lower quality products specificly for walmart to sell so they can be cheaper than everyone else. They sell them in huge truck loads to all the Walmart's, so everybody wins, "IF" you can't afford the better quality (same exact product) one that they produce for other stores. So when you see the same item at Baby's R Us (for instance) and it is more expensive, it's because it was made with better quality and probably has less pieces or thread count or whatever. Anyway, Just saying, it's worth it to pay a little more to get better quality, better service and not get sick everytime you go shopping! I do however try to go there every other month and I load up on paper goods because they are the cheapest in that department and I am not too concerned about the quality of paper towels, TP, paper plates, diapers, etc... Manager Robert Row was very disrespectful. Sign on baby water had no number litmus. So we put 5 in our basket . Upon check out we were told the limit was 2 and if we argued he could make the limit 1 excuse me , this water is to mix with formula to feed our infant .Was that a threat ? What a joke . Very rude .We spend average 500 a week at Walmart locations. we will no longer be shopping at any wal Mart locations ever again. It was horrible service when I arrived at Walmart i went in asked a worker where the pet food was at They said they didn't no this same thing happened with 3 More worker's then I went around the whole store looking for dog food area, when I finally found it i attempted to lift a 46 pound bag of food and I dropped it while a worker seen me struggle without offering to help she said that's not her Job while walking away i asked 1 other worker too please help me he replied no English walking away i struggled over 13 minutes to lift the bag I'm 56 Year Old and have health issues,. Then I grabbed 30 pound bag of cat food and nobody helped i spent over 15 minutes trying to lift the bag I then grabbed 2 different fish plants when I went to the Cash register the plant was 8$ on the sign it was 15$ i said that item is 8 48 she argue with me when I told her todo a price check and she said she was to busy for that then next plant was 1 $. She said there's no tag i said there a dollar she wouldn't even do a price check. When she rang up dogfood she made me lift the bag of dog food myself so she can Ring it up This was the worst service IV ever had in 35 years I'll never be back to that store read more

I don't pretend not to shop at Walmart-because I do. It's easy, convenient, and carries just about everything I need. Plus, the prices are pretty great, and hey, their almost on every corner out here. But, I've found that some Walmart's are better then others. Why? I'm not 100% sure. Some are clean, some are not. This one is probably high on the list of gross and disgusting lists across town. I shop here because it's close to home and well, let's be honest some things can be found just about anywhere. I come here mostly for stockable home items such as cat food and litter, cleaning products and other household items. It's not so much the clientele here as much as it is the state of the store. The first few times I came here I was like "Oh HELL NO I need to find another Walmart." But now I just go when I absolutely have to. The store feels dirty, disorganized and overall tired. The bathrooms are constantly in a state of disrepair and they randomly shut them down for cleaning at the worst possible times. If you try to ask the person cleaning that you need to go badly, they get rude and nasty with you. How do I know this? It's happened to me on more then one occasion where I've had to go badly and been told tough shit go to the back of the store. I've seen it happen to women with kids where the kids gotta go and the rude bathroom attendant sends them away while the poor kid is sitting there squirming having to use the bathroom. I've never had a problem with the staff or stocking here, but it is walmart so don't expect to much in that area. Parking does suck, but it's not the main reason I don't like shopping here. It's just a forgotten walmart, and I guess remodeling or cleaning it up isn't a high priority. Overall, your better off driving farther to go to a better one, but I come here because its easy for me. I made an appointment for tire installs and it took 3hrs. I found out they had one employee working on tires. I noticed customers frustrated because they couldn't understand why tires would take so long. I highly recommend going somewhere else for tires until the auto center department makes improvements. Nobody should be waiting 3+ hours especially with an appointment. read more

By far this is the worst Walmart when it comes to answering the phone especially the automotive department. They put you on hold for more than 30 minutes and when they answer the phone they have a nasty attitude towards you which is mind boggling.. I went to the bakery to pick up cupcakes for a small event I was having on October 9th, and not only did the women that helped me originally pick out the cupcakes remember me, but promptly got my order and brought it out to me without me saying a word. She was so friendly and accommodating. Then I went to the self checkout and it was a women's first day training but she was super cheerful and helpful as well. I was so surprised it was her first day. There are a lot of sad things going on in the world these days and I would have never thought that a trip to Walmart could brighten my day. Whom ever is doing the hiring there is doing a great job. And I wish I remembered both these ladies names so I could thank them personally, but I hope you do know what a difference you make! read more

It took them 45 minutes to tell me that my tire was not in stock and then another 10 minutes for them to pull my car. I waited for at least an hour for absolutely no reason. The only helpful person was Darcine who went above and beyond to help me find a location with my tire in stock and then helped direct me to the location as I'm new to the area. I love this place. Unfortunately, we don't have a Walmart in Santa Cruz. I love coming here because it is basically like a giant Grocery Outlet and everything is very affordable. I would recommend this to anyone as a 1 month trip from Santa Cruz because you'll save a ton of money. However, if you have a Costco card definitely go there instead and utilize the savings they offer. Costco really can't be beat but Walmart is a great backup. read more

Drab store, many cheerless employees and mostly downtrodden clientele from all corners of the globe. If you want to see the face of struggling people in America, this is the place to shop. Does carry a few items that I can't get at other local grocery stores, or price is so much lower here that I make an occasional, very limited shopping trip. Due to the high crime rate at Christown Mall and the surrounding area, this WalMart installed lockers for backpacks and bags some months ago. You can't bring such things into the store any more, and I can understand why. This afternoon I made one trip into the store after locking up my backpack, brought my purchases out and put the items in the backpack. No problem with the locker. Then I realized I had forgotten something. I re-locked the locker and made a quick trip back in. When I tried to unlock the locker the second time, it wouldn't take my code. Three WM employees tried to help unlock it using every trick they knew, to no avail. I asked one of them why there isn't a master override key (these are electronic locks with a clear mechanism on the front for just this issue). She said the "key broke a while back" and management hasn't replaced it. [Reread that last sentence.] As I write this, over 3 hours later, the backpack is still stuck in the locker. About a quarter of the lockers were unusable: some had unlockable locks and some had no locks at all. Two other people also had issues unlocking their lockers while I was there. I was told all the lockers have an automatic unlock at some unspecified interval. Someone is supposed to retrieve my backpack (and the purchases in it) and contact me. [It will be interesting to see what shape the produce I bought is in after an overnight without refrigeration.] I hope my property survives the night without being stolen. This does not endear WM in general and this particular store to me. Management should have remedied the locker master key issue as soon as it occurred--no excuses! Shop here if you must, but don't bring a backpack, bag or oversized purse (so no walkup or bicycle-using customers), at least until you see that this situation has been remedied. It also wouldn't hurt if they changed out the chintzy plastic lockers for something metallic--like Costco uses in the same mall--and use a more standard-sized locker; these are definitely smallish. read more

I received some of the best customer experience of my life with Cody from the Tire & Auto center. I had four new tires put on and bought new hubcaps for them. When I picked up my car, Cody noticed that I had new hubcaps and offered to put them on for me. He was happy to take the time to put my car back on the jack and replace all my hubcaps so that I would not have to do it on my own. Cody also noticed a problem with my bumper, which I had been meaning to take in and have fixed. He explained the issue to me and fixed it for me on the spot! Cody was extremely polite, gracious and kindhearted. He took time out of his work day to fix my car up and make sure it was safe for me to drive to Tucson later. When I tried to tip him for his hard work and dedication, he graciously declined and told me that being able to make my day was his tip. I will definitely be returning to this Walmart for my tire rotations and balancing. Cody was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend him! Thank you so much, Cody! read more

I usually only purchase party supplies, personal items (toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc), school supplies .. some of those items really are a lot cheaper In Walmart than Target. The absolute worst customer service experience ever. Everyone passed the buck to the next person without even attempting to resolve the situation. Glitch in system is not an excuse to be able to mistreat customers. At some point it would have been nice to hear one person say they were interested in offering a solution rather than saying what could not be done. Condescending assistant manager clearly set the tone for the rest of the employees not to care about retaining customers. Yes, another surprise, but hold on and read please ;) I was in need of my camera's date coin battery of a specific size. I happened to be in the area yesterday late morning and first tried nearby Target that didn't sell such a battery, and I ended up around the corner to this Walmart location. An associate at the camera dept was familiar with various battery types & sizes, and when she saw that my size was not in stock, she directed me to the jewelry dept by the checkout registers to hopefully see if they have any more in stock there instead. The associate at jewelry was also knowledgable and told me to look at the battery stand next to her to see if there is a battery to purchase at a cheaper price first and that if it's not in stock (which it unsurprisingly wasn't), to come back to her counter where she had some in stock that she had at a more secured area (because she said they got stolen easily) and found the better brand in a correct size. She watched me put the new battery inside my camera to be sure it fit and worked, which it did, and she and I smiled cheerily over a successful sale... Walmart is the type of [corporate] store that sells "just about everything", so it's a go-to for stuff at a decent price if you needed something quickly (and that's all) ;) read more

I have more of an I have to be with you sometimes, but I really hate you relationship with this store. Sometimes when I am out at my parents house on a Sunday, I have to go here with my mom. She can get sewing and crochet related things here that she can't get at the fabulous Super Target. What, was that just a plug for the fabulous Super Target in the same shopping center? You bet it was. hee hee Anyway, I am literally afraid to drive in the parking lot here for fear that I am going to run over a small child. There are very small children just running through the parking lot unattended. Seriously, I think this laissez-faire approach to parenting by the shoppers at Wal-Mart is scary on many levels. Also, it just feels dirty here. I have not been here enough times so see a dirty diaper like Julie P. has, so it is nice to know I still have something to look forward to. Wow. This was an experience and a half. I came here with the wifey in search of tacky christmas sweaters for a tacky christmas sweater party. We certainly were not disappointed to this end. The inventory and variety of tacky sweaters was outstanding. However, this place is downright creepy. We were two of maybe a handful of people in the place not on meth (including the employees). How could I tell? There were at least 8 instances of near-collisions with my cart and other carts/people just running around the store trying to burn off some meth-energy. Methergy? Look at that, I coined a new word. This place would be a dentist's nightmare. I'm sure there were fewer collective teeth in all of walmart than the number of available tacky sweaters. There were unsupervised kids running amok EVERYWHERE. One particular boy who couldn't have been older than 7 was climbing on a bunch of shelves on a display in the women's clothing section and was wearing a "Say NO to spitting tobacco" shirt. Well I guess that's a good message, if not slightly odd. There were lots of toddlers with crap all over their faces, as if they had just chowed down on some chocolate cake or something and then mom was like, "Ok, time to go to Walmart!" without bothering to wipe them off. One funny incident is worth repeating here. In the grocery section (which I have to admit, is actually very well stocked) there was a display of Coca Cola bottles that were small and spherical in the shape of Christmas ornaments. I remark "Wow those are cool" and a meth head behind me yells, "WOW! THOSE ARE REALLY COOL" and then proceeds to try to get his wife's attention at the other end of Walmart to show her just how cool they were. "SHEEEEEEEILA! SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEILA! LOOK AT THIS! LOOK!" It boggles my mind how the Target right around the corner from here is INFINITELY nicer than this Walmart. Go there instead. Unless you're looking for a tacky Christmas sweater. read more

It's official. This Walmart, and most/all I'm sure, will not offer price matching for groceries after Sunday, October 15, 2017. I commented to one of the "greeters" - on the way out of the store this morning - and she said that "it doesn't affect her because she never shops there". I do though cigarette smoker lady. I've read rumors that this is a move in order to replace the cahiers with self-serve checkout stations. I like Walmart, but I really hope their bottom line is affected by this. Like other reviewers, I have a real love/hate relationship with Walmart. Some locations aren't that bad. Others, like this one, are a flipping nightmare. I really should have heeded the Yelp reviews on this location..but alas, I really needed some random home items & groceries in a pinch-apparently I am also a glutton for punishment. Before I even walked into the store, I almost flipped out on the security guards. One was smoking right in front of the entrance-about 5 feet? And parked in front of him was a golf cart with two other guards just shooting the breeze..completely blocking the entrance from where I was coming. I had a cart and these guards couldn't be bothered to move out of the way...What do I need to do? I tried to go around but it was almost impossible. The clientele is quintessential "People of Walmart" variety. A lot of sketchy characters, some appeared to be just hanging out as if it's a thing to do. It was really hard to find things at this Walmart. I searched for 15 minutes for a water filter with nary an employee in sight..so I gave up. When I finally decided to end this torturous experience and check out, I noticed that there weren't any Self Checkout lanes (boo). I guess not all locations have them, so I decided to wait in one of the few long checkout lanes because apparently having more than 5 cashiers at any given point in time is unnecessary (rolls eyes). Seriously..you have like, 20 checkout lanes?!?! Maybe I'm overestimating but it is quite a lot. Our cashier was either new or just didn't really care that she was bagging our groceries haphazardly. I'm sure I could do a better job.. I mean-common sense tells you to bag like items correct? But I digress. I hope I'm never in such a bind that I have to come here again.
