Once Al calmed down, everything was explained well. Just wish Walmart would redo their training with managers and employees on their store and auto policies. Everything was a big misunderstanding because 2 employees and a manager told us one thing, and it took Al a total of 5 minutes to not be hostile. Nonverbal cues are very important, and putting your hands in someone's face and telling them to stop talking and dismissing them is not very professional. However, thank you Al for stepping out of a meeting, but please remember everyone is human and genuinely trying their best. 3 stars because we got some answers we needed to hear from the beginning, 2 stars deducted after he put his hand in my husbands face who was genuinely just trying to understand. Three years ago we bought tires here for our full size Chevy truck and we were supposed to be able to go there and have the tires rotated when they needed it. If you know anything about tires then you know that this is not optional, and it must be done or the tires wear unevenly. When it came time to do that my wife went over there to have it done, and that day, they told her they couldn't get one of the lug nuts off of one of the tires and so they didn't do it that day. We never got the tires rotated and so the front tires eventually wore down and we had to buy another set of tires which we did in March of this year. The day we bought the second set of tires there, my wife and her daughter spent five hours there and was actually still there after the store had officially closed for the day. It took 7 employees coming to the automotive department to get the issues they had resolved. First, she purchased the tires online and scheduled the appointment to have them installed, and the purchase went through without any issues. While she was there the automotive department already had her keys and our truck was sitting there, and they cancelled the order and didn't even let her know that. After a while she asked them what was going on and that's when they informed her that the order had been cancelled, and I can't remember the reason they gave her but I think it was because those tires weren't in stock. So she found some similar tires that were and purchased those tires instead. We purchased road hazard for those tires. Today, she went in there to have a screw removed and the tire repaired, and they should have honored the road hazard we bought, but instead they told her they couldn't get the lug nut off and so they couldn't do it. This was after she first called them to see if they could do it and the employee who answered the phone said "Yeah, come on in." She had already gone to a different Walmart prior to that and they said they could do it but it would be 3 hours, which is why she called the Walmart on Dixie Farm Rd., in Pearland to begin with because it was a lot further away from where she was at the time. I spoke to one of the service techs on the phone and I was furious because as a mechanic myself, they can't tell me that you can't get a lug nut off. I know better as I have done so 100s of times with lug nuts. They claimed they don't have the tools to do it. This means that they don't have the tools to do their job and therefore I would not recommend anyone purchasing tires at this Walmart. They only have the tools to do their job when they are actually selling the tires, if you need follow-up service that you pay for with those tires, they all of a sudden don't have the tools they need. I tried calling the store manager today and nobody would let me talk to the manager. So I filed a complaint with his regional manager. This Walmart has a serious problem with their Automotive Service department and someone should be fired over this because this is just plain laziness because they don't want to do their jobs. The Automotive department here has a serious scheduling problem, they have a laziness problem, and it needs to be addressed. If I were the store manager I'd fire all of them, TODAY, and I would find some mechanics who actually need paychecks to come in and service my customers' vehicles. The store overall has a Managing issue, and that was apparent in the fact that I couldn't get the store manager on the phone and got the run-a-round by every single employee that I spoke to on the phone about it from the operator, to one of the CSMs, to the Automotive department. If you were smart, you would never purchase tires or have your vehicle serviced at the Dixie Farm Rd, Pearland, TX Walmart. I've spent 2000 dollars there and can't even get a damn screw taken out of a tire that has road hazard coverage on it. They have cost me money, today they have cost me more money because instead of working right now, I'm dealing with this crap. I like shopping at this Walmart location for some reason better than any other in Pearland. I was shopping here one night this week and was shocked to have found 2 great pasta sauces that you never see anywhere other than Whole Foods. One was Carbone: Spicy Vodka Sauce and the other was Rao's: Bell Pepper & Mushroom Sauce. I do wish they just had full service human cashier's in most of their lanes, but that seems to be a thing of the past. There are some rude employees I have encountered here over several years consisting of a few cashiers, a deaf male worker, one older blonde lady in the aisles who acted rudely annoyed when we almost accidentally got in each other's way walking. And of course, that mega asshole, former general manager named Tim who was there years ago screaming at cashiers in front of a busy line of customers and acted like a smart ass prick to me n my mom once when trying to buy a good tv for her house. However, I have come across many welcoming, friendly employees over the years as well. They also have plenty of good products for fair prices. Overall, I am a happy customer here. read more

I forgot why I never come here (or to Walmart in general) and I was quickly reminded why I don't. Bare minimum work would be spectacular compared to how the workers act here. I asked an employee if she knew where a product was. Her response 'did you check in so and so area'. I said yes I checked. Her reply 'then I don't know'. I walked out. I don't usually shop at Walmart for anything, but since I had to get a specific item I needed to go to Walmart for it. It was actually odd because all of the associates were so nice and helpful--usually the associates aren't helpful and no where to be found when you need them. This nice lady helped me find everything I was looking for. Also, this Walmart is good at having everything in stock, but Walmart is still expensive in my eyes. This is my go to Walmart and have shopped here for over 20 years, but tonight I was disgusted at what I saw and what was not done, I was shopping and went to get frozen chicken strips, nuggets etc. they're always located in those open type freezer cases in the middle area between the meats on the wall and the actual standing freezers. A39 to be exact, went to grab the food and it was soft, not frozen at all so we walked away and just didn't get what we needed and I was really bothered by it so I went back over there after checking out and saw an employee hanging around that area and called him over and told him, he grabbed the bags and said oh wow, then checked the freezer and said oh this isn't even cold or working, so I said aren't you going to call a manager? Pull this food? The reply was I don't know who the manager is, I don't think there is one. I was like people not paying attention are going to buy this and get sick! He said he didn't have any authority to pull the food or even put a sign out warning people not to buy it. So I went to the front and asked another employee who the manager was on duty, another idk. Then another employee said I think I know who it is and left to supposedly report it. I finally left as I had been done shopping and it was around 8:45pm and was doing all the running around trying to solve this issue. So I don't post feedback from Walmart because my experiences aren't positive. But today the stars aligned and I was amazed. I had to order my tires from Walmart.com because they were 40 percent less than Firestone. (I bought from Firestone for about 17 years because of price and service) My tires were delivered today by FedEx at 4:05 PM. I called to see if they could install today and they said to come on in. The staff was very friendly. In my rush to get there in time I forgot my mask. I went to the front to buy one but the Pharmacist gave me one for free. I know their cheap to buy but I thought it was very nice of her. Not many of my experiences at Walmart are good but this great for a change. I only went to location because it was the nearest and I needed to make a quick purchase for my wife who is the hospital. Everything I needed was available at their usual low price. On the way out I bought myself a salad. It was good and fresh and it was inexpensive. Are we seeing a trend here?? Wal-Mart has these commercials that promote their outstanding, friendly customer service. What a crock of typical advertising B.S. Wal-Mart's customer service is "Absolutely Atrocious." I have experienced the worst of the worst. I tried to speak with an employee and her answer was; "No Hablo Ingles." REALLY - SHE DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!!! (That says a lot about Wal-Mart.) I speak Spanish and told her; "Welcome to America ." Then there is the complete lack of check out lanes. They expect all customers to check themselves out. "I DON'T WORK AT WAL-MART" When you do find a check lane then the lazy cashier hands me the "Hand Scanner" to scan my purchases. "THAT'S RIGHT - I DON'T WORK AT WAL-MART." Then I get to experience the snotty, belligerent and condisending attitude of the person that wants my receipt as I leave the store. I have to use my Walmart app to locate anything in this place now. There's a lot of self checkouts, but have enough people to watch these people checking out. I was in line and this person was so slow. I think she was trying to add extra clothing items in her bag after her transaction. I would of done a "scan and go" since I only had a handful of items, but the employees doesn't know about it or how to explain it. After learning that I would have to register, pay a monthly fee, and still have to wait in line to use a register to scan the QR code, I thought, NO ! I always go to this Walmart because of the location and never did I have any complaints. I once, absent mindedly, left my purse (that included 50 dollars in cash, my credit cards, and drivers licence) in the shopping cart and realised the next day that I lost it. When I called the store if they found it they said a store employee found it and turned it in - nothing missing! The whole store is filled with a great staff who are helpful, kind, and honest. I notified the place is becoming more kid friendly with carts that are able to hold more than one kid. It is a safe location with a well lit surveillance parking lot that I don't mind going to even if it is at odd hours in the night for my spontaneous needs. read more

I usually hate coming into any Walmart. This particular one on the Pearland/Friendswood border is by far one of the cleanest and best run Walmarts around. Unlike other Walmarts, this one is actually clean and organized. Everything is in it's place and easy to find. The employees are actually helpful and friendly. The customers are usually characters at other Walmarts, but this one doesn't have the typical clientele. I decided to organize my garage, so I needed lots of bins. I thought about Lowe's or Home Depot, but I knew Walmart had more options and at half the price. I was in and out without any problems and got exactly what I needed! Now if only Walmart could figure out the whole concept of opening up more checkout lanes, I could give them more stars! read more

I had bought 4 cases of osarka water and I really struggled to get them in my basket. I asked the cashier when I checking out if someone would help me put them in my vehicle. She sent me to the door greeter who said he didn't have a way to call someone. He then asked another employee and she didn't have a way either. I ended up taking it out myself. UPDATE: The same day that I originally gave a 5 star review I had a very frustrating experience. I always use the self checkouts but on New Year's morning I went into this store and bought $100+ of groceries, dog food, dog treats and other stuff. There was a lady working a register with no line so I decided to use her checkout line because I really don't like the idea of so many employees being replaced by self checkout registers. My mistake. When I got ready to cook on my grill for New Year's Day I realized that I was missing 1 bag of groceries. It was clearly left at the register even though I was certain that I picked up every bag that was facing me at the register. I went back after grilling and eating with family to see if I could get the missing bag. I had already thrown the receipt away so I knew it might be a challenge. Customer Service had a long line with 1 employee working. After 15 minutes of the line not moving (at all) I explained my situation to one of the ladies working the register next to the one I used. She said it wasn't her and with no receipt I was out of luck and she walked away . . . to a register with no customers. I have never left a bag at a self checkout register. I should have asked to see a manager but none were in sight. My experience at this Walmart location has been consistently good. I think the bad reviews on here are from a small percentage of the customers that were unhappy about something. You may not realize how nice the employees are at this Walmart until you go to another location. read more

I went to this Wal-Mart for many years now and never had a problem, today around 11:30 this old employee lady, blonde, who tried to check our coupons. We used coupons that gave us really good deals like using them on the clearance. But she said we couldn't use them because that the coupon was bigger than it's price, so that's why we bought 3 of them and the machine said that the coupon was valid. I'm not even mad about the coupon not being valid since it's just a coupon, but she gave us a hella attitude. For an example, we were trying to state that we used like these at other grocery stores like Kroger and Walgreens and etc, but you know what she said to me? She said to just go shop there then in the most smartest attitude she could give me. Also she kept talking to us really slowly like we couldn't understand her? I've never been treated so immaturely and with such an attitude at this Wal-Mart all my life and she decided to. The customer service cashier (Tamara) said food items could not be returned after 24 hours and that was the policy..I asked her to show me where this policy is written inside the store or even on my receipt and she couldn't...one of the managers came over and said the same thing abt the 24 hour return policy for food products but could not show me any proof this was true..They finally agreed to let me exchange the chicken strips for other food products for the same price...These petty, simple minded, walmart bitches need to get a life! I recently purchased an External Hard-drive (2tb) from Wal-Mart, the model was Seagate Backup Slim, I got it home and was happy about how compact it was for the price and storage capabilities. Plugged it in and the light didn't come on and was humming, computer didn't register it either. Looked up reviews and basically it said the motor was siezed which usually happens from dropping it. Well I returned it to wal-mart and was talking with an associate about other brands and as we were talking one randomly fell off the shelf in front of us. I'm guessing the theft protection device they had on it made its weight uneven and it feel about 4 ft and hit the ground. So they could fix the issue pretty easily. read more

So, I used to only use this Walmart to pay my phone bill. But now I don't have that kind of phone company I don't use them anymore. On my visit to this Walmart today, I would think it would be like all of Walmarts. But this Walmart produce is not fresh. While looking for pita bread in the section where the bakery is, I saw a gnat trapped inside the glass doors. The gnat was flying from one end to another landing all on what it supposed to be for sale. I'm thinking really.. still trying to sell this to people where's the FDA? There's nothing fresh about this! After leaving that area, I went to the fruit section to try to find some strawberries. Yes I usually look at the date before buying. But how about those people who cannot see well? I was even more disgusted when the strawberries were all molded in a container. Now I know these Walmart workers don't check their products at all. I had to return a DVD player l bought online and picked up at the store. It stopped working after one use. I couldn't even turn it back on to get my DVD out. I went to the Pearland store for the return and told them my dilemma Jasmine who I think was the floor supervisor got the assistant manger Walter. At this location we stoped by the phone service shop we experience terrible customer service and when I got my phone back i was missing 14 f%$@ing screws its copmplte BS because it took them 1 week to fix the damn phone then the screen they gave me was an aftermarket screen even though he told me it was a original apple screen. just don't bother with this place I will be pressing charges for takeing screws that cost me $100 to get replaced along with the $110 I had to pay for the screen. read more
