Randalls is less crowded compared to most other markets like Kroger or Heb. I like their cake collection, it has more options like slice of Thiramisu for $3.99, Chantely round cake which serves like 2-3 ppl for $5, small sizes of certain specialty cakes which I have not seen in most others. They carry a huge bread collection too. This location has Starbucks inside and a decent place to sit as well. Randalls- like kroger or Heb , has its own brand of products besides other products. They have special sale items in store too and you earn points by registering your phone. There are all the bells and whistles of any other comparative store like kitchen items, hand soaps and bath items, pet items, gardening, and even a pharmacy. Nice to have Randalls round the corner as an option. read more

I went to Randall's bakery for the first time. I bought a cake for my husband's birthday party. It turned out perfect! The cake itself was light and fluffy and not too sweet and the frosting was whipped cream, so it had a light texture. All the guests asked where I got it from; there was none left over like there usually is after a party with a large cake. read more

I bought a pint of the new Blue Bell Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream to pick on as a snack here n there. I am glad this place has it, bc this is Blue Bell's best creation imo. I love the Cookies n Cream Cone and Oatmeal Pie ones too, but this new one is my # 1 of all and actually tastier than any actual butter cake I have ever had. I feel like Randall's is a hidden gem. Now, I will start by saying I don't do my full shopping here. I literally ONLY shop here for their sale items/digital deals and clearance merchandise. For instance, some digital deals I have gotten over the years have been: $60 brisket for $24, a dozen eggs for $2.04 (while everyone else in town has them for $4.00+/doz.), cheese for .99, pints of blueberries for .99, pork butt for .99/lb, butter for $1.99/lb, etc etc. Just grabbed some Christmas clearance for 75%off. So yes, their regular prices are higher than average BUT taking advantage of their deals is the way to go!! Employees are generally really friendly! I have only encountered one meat guy who was "meh" when I asked him a question. They just opened some self checkout lanes if you want to get in and out quick! Highly recommend! read more

Of all the grocery stores I've shopped in, Randall's is the priciest overall. However, I have found some really nice deals in the clearance section for meat, feminine products, and other items just by taking my time and perusing the shelves. Now that they offer a free item on Saturday's (Kroger use to do the same thing), I find myself coming to Randall's more often. Of course. thinking you'll just grab that freebie and get out the store would be a mistake. Call it peer pressure, but I have to buy SOMETHING! On a Saturday, nonetheless, the check out lines are a little heavy and there are no self check registers-at least not at this location. Still, I like the interaction of people sometimes, and the checkers do their best to get you in an out, so just be patient. What I really love about Randall's is the receipt- yes the receipt. If you have a coupon that is applied to an item, the price that you paid is next to the item. Not the regular price then the price of the discount under it or at the bottom of the receipt. I typically take pictures of tags for clearance items now just to be prepared, but I have not had that issue at all at Randall's. Refreshing. You get what you pay for surely! Did I mention that their red velvet cake is phenomonal?! Moist and decadent with chocolate pieces embedded within the cake. Icing is not too sweet, but actually edible. Score! Definitely get the app, register for an account and start getting those freebies each week. I've been using this store for my floral needs for 9 years. I was treated very poorly by the floral manager today. She was rude and snippy. She and the other employees that were helping her, laughed behind my back as she snickered, "Have a Nice Day. What an example she was setting! I had already complained to Chris, one of the store managers, and obviously he didn't hear her say this on my way out. I will not be back. Many will point out that Randall's is higher than competitors, they are right. Randall's has always been known as an upscale grocery chain. Even after it sold out to Safeway, the service has remained consistent. It's easy to get in, get what you want and then get out. No hustle or traffic jams like you would experience at HEB or Wal-Mart... Sadly, I don't expect this chain to last much longer. I'm a real big fan of this place and let me tell you why... First off, when we first moved to Texas, a new friend broke down for us when/why/where you go to each brand of grocery store. One is best for all around shopping, one is great for couponing, one is REALLY good for produce, and Randall's is great for when you can't get into the loop to the big place that has awesome produce and natural/healthy items. This sort of thing comes with a price, and a literal one at that. Randall's is almost always more expensive than just about anywhere else in Pearland, but they always seem to have what I want. However, the absolute best part about this place, and the part that makes it easy to justify spending extra to shop here is the customer service that everyone but the cashiers offers you (I always do self-checkout but the few times I've gone through a normal line, its been unremarkable). When you walk in, you're actually greeted with a smile by lots of people who will actually answer your questions and help you out. I've had the guy that stocks the produce help me find something across the store before and he never once acted like it was an inconvenience. Even the guys bringing in the carts that wander all over that sea of a parking lot will stop, say hello, and ask how you're doing. It sort of feels like the twilight zone...but one i'm willing to live in. read more

Max has always been tremendous on advising me concerning any medications I was picking up and has even flagged a prescription that potentially had adverse effects with another medication I was taking. The staff has frequently provided me with alternate brand options that provided savings. They are everything I could ask for in a pharmacy. read more

Although the grocery store is fine, this review is for the PHARMACY. Unfortunately, my family has more healthcare needs than the average consumer. Overall, this constant interface with the medical community has calloused me and made me more cynical regarding their care about my family as individuals. The staff at this Randall's pharmacy is an overwhelming exception. Max (and Andy, recently retired), the head pharmacist, and their staff have gone so far above and beyond to provide for us, often in times of desperation. I've been to all the Walgreens and CVSs in the Pearland area, and I CRINGE when I have to deal with those pharmacies, because no one cares. The Randall's pharmacy cares. I recently stopped going to my local Krogers because the selection, and service has gone downhill lately. So I tried my local Randalls on Broadway in Pearland. I ran in for a couple of salmon pieces to cook for dinner. The gentleman in seafood had a poor attitude like he was too busy to help customers. It is reflected in what I found when I got home. He asked me what size pieces I wanted and I showed him the width I wanted. Well he gave me the width I wanted. but sliced my pieces were cut from the tail of the salmon. So I take them out of the packaging and the pieces are flat. I will never shop at this store again. I'll drive an extra 10 minutes to HEB. I suggest you do the same. read more

This Randalls has a very friendly staff. I am able to take my time, look around, and find what I am looking for. I once had a problem with my recent and went back in and the manager (I think he was the manager) was so nice. He took his time and made sure everything was corrected. And one evening after the Customer Service booth was closed one of the employees, who may have been the manager, help my Mom with an item that rang up wrong and we saw it after she had paid. Again, this employee was so nice to my Mom - that means a lot to me. Kindness goes a long way. That keeps us coming back. Thank you Randalls! read more

We visit relatives in the Pearland area and while we are there have shopped at the Randalls store often. We have found that Randalls has the best meat of any of the other stores around there and that is an important part of grocery buying to our family. I haven't noticed the prices being out of line with other stores if you consider all departments. Even if they were a bit more, I would prefer better quality over a slight price increase. We are also fans of their bakery items--the Boston Creme chocolate cake with strawberries is one of our favorites. The associates are helpful and friendly and we do enjoy shopping at Randalls. The employees are friendly and do not mind walking you to an item you are searching for. Their wine selection is HUGE and you can always find a bottle to pair with dinner. Rude employee who identified herself as the manager. My brother went to shop there and tried to pay using a visa gift card. I repeat: a VISA GIFT CARD. NOT A VISA CREDIT CARD. A VISA GIFT CARD. With a loud irate voice she said thar the card has to have a name printed on it and went on to rant that she will fire any employee of that store who will honor the card. Below average Safeway equivalent store. Occasionally, they will have great ad deals or clearance items. This specific store is generally clean and friendly, as expected. The 4 self-checkout lines are convenient. There is an internal Starbucks and lots of seating, but no Wi-Fi (seriously?). My biggest problem with this location specifically is the inaccurate pricing. Check your receipt and prices at the register as items are being rung up VERY carefully every time you shop here. It's not uncommon to be charged differently (oddly, it's always more, not less) than the posted price. Fortunately, they are nice about confirming their mistake and giving you a refund. It's just an extra hassle that the shopper shouldn't have to go through so often. Edit: They no longer have self-checkout lanes. Edit 2: Beware of the beef. You can often find tiny black bits from what I assume is either the sytofoam packaging or moisture absorbing pad on the meat itself. They have good deals but be EXTA careful and check the expiration date on everything. I swear every time I go majority of the items are already expired or expiring within a day or two. They will let you exchange the items but it's a pain to go back to do that. Also check fresh fruits and veggies thoroughly, I got home the other day and my red peppers were covered in mold. I have been going here for convenience, because HEB is overwhelming and Kroger is about the same thing as Randalls. I wish Publix would come to Texas! Severely missing out. read more

This place has seriously went down hill fast. They took out the self checkouts so now if I want to go in quick on my lunch it takes soooo much longer. And the new cashiers don't seem to know what the Heck is going on. And the customer service at the sandwich deli counter has never been great honestly but now it's horrible. Went during my lunch hour and was the only one waiting. The girl working completely ignored me but another lady walks up after me and she helped her first and didn't even acknowledge that I was there until the lady who came after me was gone. Then when she finally came over to me she rudely says 'what you need?' and I totally wanted to say 'some customer service would be nice' but I was so done at this point because I have been standing there for 25 minutes!!
