I have been shopping at this Kroger location for several years and have always had a positive experience. However, recently my experience has not been as pleasant due to interactions with one particular employee, Necie. Whenever I ask for assistance, she often responds in a way that makes it seem like helping customers is a burden, which is disappointing as a longtime customer. I also have a question regarding Kroger's workplace policies. My daughter informed me that Necie is known to smoke, and I was under the impression that Kroger maintains a drug-free workplace. With inflation, there isn't one grocery store I shop at. I typically shop the sales at Kroger, H-E-B, Randall's and grab essentials at Aldi and Walmart. (Saving money on groceries is a full time job!) The Shadow Creek Kroger is closer to us but oftentimes they are out of stock of the items we need so I started coming to this Kroger instead. 9/10 this place has what we need. I always use the app with the digital coupons. I've even gotten my husband hooked on clipping e-coupons and saving $$. Love getting deals. I rarely have any encounters with employees. Ummmm this is unacceptable. I sent my fiancé to pick up a few items and when i went to cut what looks like a good bell pepper this is what I cut into. I am extremely pissed and disgusted . This is not the first time I have bought something from this store that was either out of date, opened, or spoiled. Lately, this location started having aggressive salespeople standing around inside the store trying to sell me whatever it is they're trying to sell. Do not shop here if you wanted to be treated like a human, because customer service is completely out the window. Vanessa, my cashier, was not only rude and demeaning she refused to call a manager over and pretended the bagger was the manager after I asked for the third time. (Obviously she wasn't). I left in tears for how they treated me. The "manager"/bagger was upset I asked to speak with someone and ruined at least $50 worth of groceries by putting cans, bottles, and heavy items on top of soft items or produce. Came here just to use the restroom and at 10 in the morning 2 out of the 3 stalls were disgusting. The third was being used so I had to choose the lesser of the 2 evils but even the roll of tissue hadn't been placed in the tissue container and had dirt on the sides of the large roll. I gave 2 stars for them being open and having adequate hand soap and paper towels but will definitely consider a different store going forward. read more

Generics:$$ Unlike HEB that have fantastic generic products like soda, cereal, all Kroger Generics are poor tasting to me. Bakery:$$$$. Yuck. Can't compare to HEB or Randalls bakery...or even Walmart. Very pricey. 6 cupcakes $6.99 and disappointing. Small pies that are 2 for $1 at Walmart are $1-1.50 ea here. Donuts are $1 ea and not good. When i have a sweet tooth i walk past the bakery and buy national brands Mrs Smith, Hostess, Pillsbury pies, cakes, cookies. Florist:$. This store is small but has a nice floral dept. I purchased formula for my 2 month old grandson on 3/19/20. Found out it was the wrong one and immediately returned to exchange it or return it. I was told they did not have the other formula in stock and could not return it even though it was sealed and had not been taken out of the bag. So that leaves me with no funds to purchase the correct formula. Kroger should have signs posted throughout the store stating "NO RETURNS DUE TO CORONAVIRUS". This used to be my go-to Kroger, now I would rather drive elsewhere even if this is right down the street. Never enough cashiers and the produce are just thrown out there. Recently I encountered a pile of "student aged" workers wondering the aisles laughing and just being on their phones, they didn't offer help or even say excuse me for blocking people's way. At my most recent trip there was an employee stocking and ran her cart behind me almost hitting me, and one was outside wearing a Kroger bag over her head! It makes Kroger look bad, especially because most of the employees would rather shove headphones in their ears than to even acknowledge you or show some kind of pride in their work. read more

I'll make this short and sweet. The store itself is fine. I always go there and there's nothing wrong whenever i checkout. This review is about these crummy attendants at the gas station. Once I got up to the window to pay for the gas the guy who was sporting a Rick Ross beard was talking to one of the other attendants and I was barely acknowledged. Then as I proceeded to give him my money he was still very inattentive trying to rush me so he could finish talking to his friend. I'm sorry, I know I might seem picky to some people reading this but my wife will tell you I am very big on being considerate to other people and giving people your full attention because thats what I do with everyone that I meet. I have a love/hate relationship with my local Kroger's. Love that they are closer than my preferred HEB Hate that this closer location always feels like it's not clean. I'm finally getting used to the re-model, and agree that it's a nice layout with seemingly more cart room. I can find my usual preferred brands, but not always every offering in that particular brand. (i.e. They sell Gold Peak Tea, but not the GREEN TEA) . The produce department is hit or miss. The deli department has a couple of faithful employees who do a great job, the turnover otherwise can make for a regretful experience. Checkout is the real culprit. They rarely have enough lines open, and almost always want you to use the self check lanes. I will keep going here because it's close, but i don't always enjoy it. read more

This was a great place to shop, and one of the best parts of it was that it was one of the only places that was still 24 hours. Unfortunately, they changed that, so I showed up in the morning to find they don't open until 6:00 AM. This was so disappointing. We loved this location BECAUSE it was 24 hours, and we could get anything we needed anytime. I'll have to find a new 24 hour option now, but sadly it won't be as convenient :( read more

It's always something with this store. I can never go in and be at peace. They NEVER have their shelves stocked. Customer service and the checkout clerks are normally accommodating to the lack of proper pricing being loaded based on sales details however on 4/21/18 Cashier ID Chec 503 decided she wanted to decide what was on sale and what wasn't regardless of the signage in the store or on the digital coupon. She said... if it's not $2.49 it's not apart of the .99 coupon special (as she stood on the floor drinking her coffee). So she voided out the ones SHE deemed not on sale and walked off saying, you can go and pick something else out... but didn't I pick THOSE OUT SO THAT MEANS THAT WAS MY SELECTION. I went back to the aisle to take pictures and show her. Upon return I showed her the pictures especially the raisin bran having a sign RIGHT UNDER IT... she still argued and then said you know what, I don't have the time to argue, where is it... I said idk, you told me no and took it away. She gets it and overrides the system (which she could've done in the beginning). I now have 4 out of boxes and still paying full price for one (and now the coupon is missing so I can never get my 5th box) but again she didn't have time and needed to get back to her cup of Joe so I gave up but let me say this Krogers... you can look up my order history, I spend alot of money when NO ONE in texas really cares about you... it's all about HEB here which don't require "coupons" I made a choice to support a business I grew up on but this customer service pushed me ALL THE WAY AWAY. I hope Chec 503 is worth the headache she gives your loyal customers. She should never be customer facing... This location was previously open 24 hours, but they reduced open time to 6 AM through 1 AM. The inside is generally clean. Near closing time, areas of the store become impassable as shelves are stocked and pallets barricade isles. Some of the shelf stockers are very friendly and others are talking loudly on their cell phones as they work. Also, self-checkout tends to be the only option during late hours. Listed prices are generally accurate. The meat selection is small, but tends to be high quality (especially the Nolan Ryan brand). I would actually give the store 3 stars, but must take into account a frustrating event where the pump at the Kroger gas station in front malfunctioned and charged my card for a huge amount of gasoline that was never pumped. The whole thing was clear-cut and easy to resolve (simply review the camera footage and/or understand that my Civic is incapable of holding 25 gallon of gas), but was completely mishandled by management (namely, Lupe) at this Kroger location. I eventually got my refund weeks later via a supervisor at Kroger customer care, but only due to overwhelming evidence, persistence, and documentation. Based on how poorly this was handled, I can assume other customers are treated the same way on occasion. I will not be returning to this location again as a matter of principle. read more

Management looks down from a balcony on to the store which is super creepy since none of them look friendly. Cashier in EXPRESS LANE is having long conversations with anyone who will listen. 7 minutes wait for 4 items. Come on. I didn't use the self scan because I parked on the opposite side. I have Shopped at this Store for the longest time and have never seen some of the things In any other Store as I do this one. For one I will say I am far from being Prejudice and have nothing nice for anyone who is. I have noticed several times lately when it comes to certain cashiers needing help and I will be Open about this. When a white Cashier is in need of help it takes forever to get it. As in when I go in to buy alcohol and need some type of approval before I can get it. I stood after my Purchase of wine just to see the response in who gets help the fastest and Im appauled at what i saw. Several Africian Americans called for Approval as I did and there were 2 Girls in Red coats there very quickly. I went through Lane # 10 where a Caucasian Woman was working and she had to go search for an approval. At that time I saw 2 Girls in red coats as if they were on a Playground . Really!!!!!! What is wrong the management in this store. Is there any control here. I am almost tempted to Shop with HEB as this isnt't the first time I see no control in this store, nighttime is the worse. One more thing, Should a Customer be hearing The ones in Red Coats talking rudely of their Co Workers???? Here's my answer Absolutely Not. This is the worst Kroger I have ever shopped at and my favorite grocery is Kroger and HEB. No sanitary wipes for the carts, dude at the meat counter is creepy and the beef cuts are poor and many items were poorly stocked and nearly sold out. This Kroger has really turned itself around. The newer one in Shadow Creek started strong and quickly went to dirt. This one is freshened up, well stocked, friendly service most of the time.
