Fresh fresh produce! And I like they have the families who grew the produce displayed! Go there before u go to H‑E‑B to get what they may have. Bring your own bags

I don't know how I went this long ignoring Aldi's everywhere, but dangit, was I missing out... shame on me *slaps hand*! I had a conversation with a friend from Chicago who was swearing up and down that Aldi was essentially the best thing to happen this side of the pond after Belgian chocolate and I was like "what??? no freakin' way." She gave me a beginner's course as to how to shop at Aldi, the do's and don'ts, and extra survival tips. I finally (wo)manned up and armed with valor, a quarter for my cart, and my reusable bags, I headed in. I was very surprised and pleased to see how clean and well stocked this store was. I immediately started grabbing extremely reasonably priced things that would have cost me my cornea at another store like the organic almond butter and agave among other stuff. The produce selection was small but enticing with very colorful fruits and veggies, both organic and non-organic to choose from. The meat department had nice and affordable cuts that looked fresh and I could totally imagine it in my crockpot at home. The eggs and dairy carries the basics but I can live with that. As far as price points go, this store is incomparable. Dare I say it, it's dirt cheap. The price for staples like milk and eggs was eye popping low compared to other chains. I definitely can see myself becoming a regular. Now, just like when I go to Trader Joe's, I can't do ALL of my shopping here, however I can plan ahead and buy a chunk of my groceries at a super cheap price and save some cash.

1st time in Aldi. A bit put off I have to put a quarter in to get a basket. Apparently you get it back when you put the cart back. Not sure... a lady gave me hers in the parking lot as I didn't have a quarter. I paid it forward and left cart near the door for the next person! Bought SunChips- my HEB doesn't carry them and snapped pictures of prices to compare with my HEB. Also (the reason I came as my stylist told me about it) I bought Toilet Time board book for my granddaughter. They had 12 packs of canned cokes for $4.00 something, there was a guy in there buying every single one ! Thank don't drink soda but I guess that is a good price. I will probably stick to my HEB but pop in here from time to time to see what they have. The store was very quiet and "chill"! Off brands with minimal selection. Follow up: I checked prices to HEB. They are exactly the same to the penny. On name brands and house brands. BUT HEB had more selection. I will pop into Aldi on my way home sometime because it is on the right hand side of the road. Easy in and out. Quiet. Check out is a bit slow . &! You have to have your own bags at Aldi... which I think is a good thing!!

$6.99 Prosecco...hope it's good!

Kroger is closing in Dickinson. We will have no grocery store in our community. Please help with Aldi.

[They have free popcorn too!] I got coffee beans from Seabrook TX, Dubai chocolate, pecan cluster, 2 kinds of chocolate toffee from NC and a banana split bon-bon. The middle eastern dessert "Dubai chocolate" is all over TikTok so I wanted to try it. It's a creamy pistachio and kunafa filling. [Kunafa aka künefe or kadayif] is a sweet filling of tahini, cocoa, sesame, sugar syrup. [This bar was made in Türkiye by Vezir Chocolatier] It's good. Very smooth texture and creamy nutty flavor Grifff's toffee is made in Chappell Hill NC by Karen Graves and named after her husband, Griff Graves. [RIP] It's really good. A portion of sales goes to an ovarian cancer fund. Cute candy shop with great treats and canned goods. Even has some Donald Trump lemon cotton candy [see photo]

I picked up a candle and immediately wanted to eat it. It smelled and looked just like a delicious cupcake.

Natures Garden is a Friendswood jem. While I have only eaten here a couple times, I have been…read moreshopping here for my vitamin supplements for 12 years, as long as I have lived in Friendswood. I am a degreed nutritionist and have been interested in nutrition since a teen. I have had many conversations with store owner, Mike Weichman. He has always been able to answer my nutrition questions, help me with my supplement needs and steer me to the right nutritional solution usually with several options. He sells medical grade supplements here, the brands my functional doctors recommend. I found it much more convenient to purchase supplements here than a trip to the doctors office. He takes on clients for a one on one consultation if you have specific health problems. Functional medicine helps to identify and solve your health issues with nutrition, unlike a prescription medication that treats only symptoms. I find it very difficult to get all the nutrients I need from the food I eat so I find supplementation as an aid to get those nutrients into my diet. I feel for most vitamin supplementation, quality does make a difference, so most of my supplements are medical grade from two manufacturers sold in the store. But Mike can make suggestions for all budgets. I've know Mike for a while and he always gives me a big hug when he sees me in the store. I'm just sorry I haven't taken the time to write a review sooner. Michelle T./ MAT in the City- Friendswood

I love coming to this apothecary for pungent seasoning and spices. They sell everything in giant…read moremason jars, so you know what you're picking out. They even sell bulk items such as nuts, flour, nutritional yeast, dried fruit, natural detergent, oils, loose-leaf teas, etc. Some are made in-house, including vegan hot chocolate mix. I like getting my seasonings and spices here, opposed to the grocery store, because it is very fresh and hasn't been sitting out for years upon years on end. There aren't a lot of raw vegan restaurants down south of 45, but surprise, surprise, Natural Living has raw vegan onsite. I've only eaten there twice, and due to the limited hours throughout the week. I am only able to get down here on the weekends in the morning. I frequent Nokturne more as a vegan restaurant in CL, just due to the simple fact of the flexibility of hours. At Natural Living, I ordered the taco salad; it was vegan meat crumbles and veggies. There were more veggies than meat. A limited amount of dressing to lather the veggies, so it made the salad a bit dry, but tasty. I loved the peanut butter cookies on sale. They were my favorite. I love that they have a food fair program for organic fruits/vegetables from local gardeners. I'm not a big fan of organic anything as I feel that it is more of a marketing gimmick, but if others care about that, that's a perk. The program is very affordable. I've personally never tried it, but I always wanted to. The ambiance can be a bit off; the staff is sometimes nice, sometimes don't want to be bothered. The apothecary side of things system is just grab jars of what you want, and they weigh it, put it in baggies, and you pay for it. However, things can get complicated when there a multiple people on the apothecary side and there is nowhere to wait since the whole building is tight and small. Now the pricing; this establishment isn't the cheapest, but when you factor in the value of what you are purchasing with the quantity of goods, then you are getting a solid deal. They sell crystal jewelry, and parking is across the street. I always tell people I'm going to the apothecary, and when they Google it, they can't find it, so it is definitely a hidden gem. I would have given them 5 stars across the board, but with the very limited hours not good for the working class working between 8 am - 5 pm; they close at 6 pm, closed on Sundays and Mondays. I hate that, but I will continue to only come on Saturdays.

And even though it can be busy during the food shares pickup hours, she always makes time to engage. The whole staff has been warm and welcoming and it's to no surprise. The atmosphere is serene. There's a sense of peace that comes over me when I walk in. Me and my husband enjoy sitting down for a bite to eat from the organic cafe. The food is amazing. It's all handcrafted, with high-quality organic ingredients. It's gluten free and made from scratch. If you can't stay and eat you can call in your order to-go. Also, with the membership you get discounts on bulk items and certain events. You can lend a hand and volunteer as well. I'm happy to be part of the family.
