Everything was stocked well and was neat and tidy. Prices here are amazing! (I have my usual Aldi-only buys because their prices are so good. Some name brand products need to be purchased elsewhere.) This one is bigger and has more stuff and some different stuff than the one by me. This one feels bigger, cleaner, and more inviting. Aldi in general have some amazing prices on items and some great gift finds. You have to be quick on it thought because once people get word then items go fast! It is in a shared shopping center but parking has never been a problem for me. I always keep coming back for mini apple bites because my kids love it, ginger wellness shots, limited edition cold foam, and the gift/house aisle. Shout out to Evan, tonight's checker! He was super friendly with everyone. He was super careful placing my groceries in the cart. I had issues with my card payment for some reason ( I was trying to use my Costco membership card lol idk why I did that) and it kept declining and so I told him let me go outside real quick to get my husbands card instead. Embarrassing but he was super nice, did not try to rush me and so were the other patrons behind me. Love, love Aldi!! read more

Kroger is closing in Dickinson. We will have no grocery store in our community. Please help with Aldi.

I used to come here every week for my grocery haul, but not anymore. I can overlook having a limited selection, not being able to buy just one veggie(they all come in bulk packs), having to pay for a shopping cart, not being given bags, having the cashier throw your groceries in a cart and then rushing you to pay. I get all that. But management needs to know that customers cannot freely walk around in there. Their employees stock during the day and they use these huge trolleys to stock. They are so big you can't go around them. You have to go back the other way you came and then go around to the other side. But this doesn't just happen once a visit. It happens 3-4 times every time I go. And the employees don't care. They actually will get mad at you for being in THEIR way. It's not about the customer here. I literally won't be back because you can't walk through the store without going down a blocked aisle. Who wants to deal with that? Not me. Kroger is across the street read more

I don't know how I went this long ignoring Aldi's everywhere, but dangit, was I missing out... shame on me *slaps hand*! I had a conversation with a friend from Chicago who was swearing up and down that Aldi was essentially the best thing to happen this side of the pond after Belgian chocolate and I was like "what??? no freakin' way." She gave me a beginner's course as to how to shop at Aldi, the do's and don'ts, and extra survival tips. I finally (wo)manned up and armed with valor, a quarter for my cart, and my reusable bags, I headed in. I was very surprised and pleased to see how clean and well stocked this store was. I immediately started grabbing extremely reasonably priced things that would have cost me my cornea at another store like the organic almond butter and agave among other stuff. The produce selection was small but enticing with very colorful fruits and veggies, both organic and non-organic to choose from. The meat department had nice and affordable cuts that looked fresh and I could totally imagine it in my crockpot at home. The eggs and dairy carries the basics but I can live with that. As far as price points go, this store is incomparable. Dare I say it, it's dirt cheap. The price for staples like milk and eggs was eye popping low compared to other chains. I definitely can see myself becoming a regular. Now, just like when I go to Trader Joe's, I can't do ALL of my shopping here, however I can plan ahead and buy a chunk of my groceries at a super cheap price and save some cash. read more

1st time in Aldi. A bit put off I have to put a quarter in to get a basket. Apparently you get it back when you put the cart back. Not sure... a lady gave me hers in the parking lot as I didn't have a quarter. I paid it forward and left cart near the door for the next person! Bought SunChips- my HEB doesn't carry them and snapped pictures of prices to compare with my HEB. Also (the reason I came as my stylist told me about it) I bought Toilet Time board book for my granddaughter. They had 12 packs of canned cokes for $4.00 something, there was a guy in there buying every single one ! Thank don't drink soda but I guess that is a good price. I will probably stick to my HEB but pop in here from time to time to see what they have. The store was very quiet and "chill"! Off brands with minimal selection. Follow up: I checked prices to HEB. They are exactly the same to the penny. On name brands and house brands. BUT HEB had more selection. I will pop into Aldi on my way home sometime because it is on the right hand side of the road. Easy in and out. Quiet. Check out is a bit slow . &! You have to have your own bags at Aldi... which I think is a good thing!! read more

Cheap, cheap, cheap...talk about cheap!! This is an interesting lil store. I'm not even sure how I ended up here, but I did. I do get the weekly ad's, but I often overlook them because I'm dearly devoted to HEB. I wish they had a Shopping At Aldi for Dummies book because I was clearly dumb to how Aldi operates. Walking up to the entrance I should have known something was up when I saw everyone going in with their own bags. I stroll down the aisles a bit looking for major brands. Where the heck are the Kellogg's brand cereals my kids like and my Planters cashews?!! Couldn't be found. I stroll around a little more to the beer/wine section and couldn't find one name that I recognize. I noticed they had some good prices on Prosecco and I decided to go get a cart so I could grab a few bottles. Why the heck are these baskets chained up?! I later find out you need a quarter to get a cart. WTH! Luckily, the cashier was nice enough to give me a cart. I also find out I have to bag my own items. *sigh* I stroll for a bit longer, amazed at all these items and how they deceptively look like major brand items but they are off brands. A frequent customer saw me and asked had I ever been to an Aldi before. I told him no and he gave me a run down and what were the best things to purchase. Milk is definitely one of the best bargains here! Produce looked a little hit or miss, and the meat section was small. Frozen goods look VERY questionable and I would stay away from that section. And again, mostly everything is generic. Since I'm not a big fan of off brands and very selective of what I purchase off brand, I didn't get much out of this store. If you enjoy low-price generic brand items, definitely give Aldi a try. read more

Karen was extremely rude when ringing up my groceries. No greeting when I entered her line. She became visibly irritated when I didn't remove the bottles of wine from my bag on the belt. So when I started to remove them she stopped me abruptly and counted them one by one. I understand that was my mistake..but next, she shouted "ID" , I'm assuming to ask for my ID. Idk. It was very rude. She then snatched my receipt from the printer and handed it to me. When I said have a good day she said nothing. I've shopped here numerous times and have never experienced such a stank attitude. Hopefully she gets it together. read more

I like Aldi very much but the employees at the checkout make it a terrible experience. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. All they wanna do is get the customers out as fast as possible. One or two employees will place your groceries in the cart nicely while the rest just throw it in the basket without a second thought. This location should make a self checkout area if the cashiers hate their job so much. I love, love, love Aldi, ESPECIALLY, this Aldi! The people that work here are 2nd to none. They stock, tender money and offer EXCELLENT customer service. They are loyal too, as the same people have worked here for years. You can bet you'll be greeted with a smile by Cheryl, Tami, Whitney, Christina and the gang. Like Norm at Cheers, it is equally warm and inviting whenever I visit this store, which is every Tuesday (there's a reason for this) and often on weekends. The products they offer are not "Name brand", though you can find them here, but a form of their Aldi brand that is equally as good. My teens complained that "IN NO WAY SHOULD THERE BE A POLAR BEAR ON FROSTED FLAKES", until they ate them. Apparently, the bear sugar coats the flakes a lot more and better than the tiger. Aldi is well known in Europe and you often see a wonderful eclectic assortment of people shopping here. They are from all over and have known the name much longer then we have in the states. Weekly they will stock different assortments of decorations, bedding, baby, electronics, beauty, exercise, outdoor and many many more. You better get it when you see it though, because it may not be there the next day, let alone the next hour. Remember Auchan? Well this store gives me a similar vibe. They save money by having less employees, not accepting credit cards, and selling their own brand (with the exception of a few items like Dove). Credit card processing fees are expensive. By only accepting cash, debit and EBT cards, it helps keep their prices low. which in turn saved the customer money. Who can complain? They have organic brands for a cheaper price compared to heb or kroger. I love that I can find most things here. Fruits and veggies are fresh. Milk comes from their "friendly farms". AND they have an assortment of Gluten free items!! Hooray!!! I hope aldi doesn't go away because I save a lot of money shopping here. read more

Been wanting to see what all the hype was about. Being from out of town I had to visit when I saw I was close and needed a few things....good god almighty...what a dump...walked in..there was a woman stocking the wine. She was literally heaving the open cases of wine up on top of the others. bottles falling and rattling... Just amazed that they weren't breaking. Store was run down and items disheveled. excellent cost saving, good produce selection, some items on shelf are not priced, it is a special skill to figure the price sometimes, i guess because of fast turnover they add thing to the shelves and do not always add the price. read more
