I used to love this Walmart but it's a shell of what it used to be. Customer service is poor number one. I absolutely HATE the self checkouts there is 5 people standing around self checkouts when they could be opening up some lines to keep the flow moving. I just won't use them if I have to shop there I would rather stay in line they mess with the checkouts. Walmart keeps saying they are going to remove them and never do. I appreciated it when there was speedy checkout lanes as well as other lanes. There was a checker at each checkout line too when it was busy. Now they have a few lanes and only a few are open. While the employees are paid to stand around taljing to one another. Used to have a subway and hair salon in there. Both are closed for no apparent reason. Subway was really good you could sit there and people watch but can't do that anymore. Can't get a sandwich when you get done shopping. Ozark Walmart used to have a beautiful tiled floor and they tore it all up for absolutely no reason exposing the ugly gray concrete underneath it like the getto Springfield Walmarts. It's not open 24 hours anymore. I used to be able to go there anytime I needed. If I didn't want to deal with the crowds I could go there at 2 AM if I wanted to. Absolutely no reason for that we aren't in ghetto Springfield where people steal. if someone does steal it's easy to hire security and call law enforcement like they used to. Ozark Walmart used to be a happy place. but it's absolutely terrible. Sam Walton was a great manager and it was a million times better under her leadership. Now it SUCKS! Had a blowout a mile away on vacation and the staff in the automotive department got me in and out within an hour and a half. Very impressed with the staff working back there and their friendliness and speedy actions. Definitely recommend this automotive shop! read more

I went with a buddy to help him pick up a smoker. He paid just over $500 for a Pit Boss Austin XL. When we got it back to his place we found that it was damaged on the side with the pellet hopper. To be clear this was NOT a light smoker, so hauling it around to have to unbox it and then haul it back was a real hassle. The employees here were rude overall and were unwilling to help us get it to the register, and had a lot of snark when it came to the return. read more

Management in incompetent, it takes 5 guys to do an oil change And i waited 2 hours just for everyone to go on break at once and i got some BS excuse about how it wasn't their fault. I haven't been to as many Walmarts for produce as I've been to Publix but this is definitely one of the better Walmarts. It's very organized. It felt a bit like Target while I walked around, but it has a modern feel to it. They are quite helpful whenever we had any questions and it's definitely easier on the wallet. read more

Really pitiful service. I did the self-checkout and noticed both items rang up for more than the sticker price on the nearby shelves. I told the self checkout lady and her reply.... AND I QUOTE "Yea, we raise the prices in the computer system. We'll get around to changing the stickers on the shelves later on. There's nothing you can do about it." You know I'm not really in love with Walmart, but I will give this place credit. The store was clean and the staff was friendly. That's really about all I ask of anyone. Yes, I do expect certain things from other purveyors. but for the most part if you can get in and out of Walmart without being accosted or treated badly you're doing well. I went there to pick up only a few items that I cannot get elsewhere. I did online ordering as I could just pickup. First of all it's pointless. You have to go inside the store, where people are pretty much shoulder to shoulder. This is what I was trying to avoid. Shame on this store for not following the social distancing rules. read more

This is as good a Walmart as any around and often has stock that the one on independence in Springfield is out of. I Really wish they would set up grocery pick up at this store and they need to set up a neighborhood market in North Ozark. All in all, not a bad experience when I'm in store. read more

I just called the photo dept at my local store, in Ozark, MO. After the phone rang about 30 times, a woman answered. My question concerned the total cost to have 100ft of Super 8 film transferred to DVD. The brochure says $24.96. I was asking about sales tax & mailing costs. She had no idea about either one. You know as much as i hate Walmart this one is decent. The quality of service you receive is consistent and the merchandise is usually stocked. The parking situation here however is like most Walmart's, horrible. Runaway carts and geriatric drivers always threatening the integrity and cosmetic condition of your beloved vehicle. We do use this Walmart on a regular basis and don't have many issues so if you're residing in Ozark i would say this is a safe bet, even though there are 4 other grocery stores in town. Which i might add we use for as much of our grocery shopping as possible before we resort to Walmart. I don't use Walmart service centers so i can't say anything about this one, no I'm not too proud to use a Walmart mechanic I just Happen to have a warranty on my vehicle and choose to use the dealership. read more
