This Walmart is not as big. It's ok. Not as busy. Not as clean. Went in quickly to get some sundries & was out the door.

Such bad costumer service. They all are so lazy. They leave right in the middle of checking.

False advertisement. Oil change service is closed and has been closed since April. Would be nice if they updated their department closures.

In the "speedy" isle with the slowest walmart worker, ever. Nothing speedy at all. Not sure if she'll live through this shift.

Several vendors offered Spring women's and children's clothing and accessories. The shops seem to go on forever, there is a lot to see. Vintage tees and jackets were in a room towards the front. Prices are mixed, but not unreasonable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The doors were open to take in the morning air. We found free street parking nearby. Worth a visit.

I don't spend a whole lot of time up in Hamilton County, however, a recent work conference gave me…read morethe opportunity to spend some time at Hamilton Town Center. Hamilton Town Center is essentially an open-air mall. Developed by Indy-based Simon & Associates, Hamilton Town Center opened in 2008 right on the cusp of when the more traditional shopping mall was starting to wane in popularity and developers were exploring options. Hamilton Town center features over 85 shops/restaurants and is designed to resemble a streetscape. Some of the dining options, in particular, are free-standing buildings in outlots. While I think it's pretty common to associate Hamilton County with a more affluent clientele, one of the things I like about Hamilton Town Center is that it has a nice diversity within its shops - from definite high end options to more "ordinary joe" type outlets. Hamilton Town Center also hosts Emagine Theatre (the former Hamilton 16 IMAX). I suppose a minor quibble would be that the vast majority of the options here are national chains, though I noticed a lot of the national chains tend to be smaller chains that might surprise you they're a chain. Being a Simon Mall, Hamilton Town Center has a rewards club and there are some online shopping options. Like most malls, Hamilton Town Center tends to host holiday events and has a Santa every holiday. Generally speaking, accessible parking is plentiful and curb cuts are well done. There's at least one very nice greenery area that seems to draw the kids quite a bit with its various playground-lite equipment. There's a definite "sprawl" here in terms of the landscape. If you have mobility issues, you may have difficulty if you want to go to several different stores at opposite ends of the "mall." In terms of accessibility, it works. It's just a bit tiring. I considered going a 4-star and a 4.5 is probably more accurate, however, the real clincher for me is that I like the diversity of shops more than Castleton and I like the economic variation more than Fashion Mall. I just feel like there's something for everyone here. While the mall generally opens at 10am, I do kind of wish they had a decent breakfast/brunch option. However, that's pretty easy to find within a mile of this growing area. If we're being honest, Castleton is okay but has definitely declined. Fashion Mall is just fine, and I definitely like the food options, but it's more than a wee bit pretentious. Greenwood Park Mall is probably the closest comparison, though Glendale Town Center is weaving together the hybrid experience these days. Washington Square and Lafayette Square? Um, yeah. No. While Central Indiana has other options, this is definitely one of the better mall experiences in Central Indiana and it's an easy drive from pretty much anywhere in Marion and surrounding counties.

We took our fashionable dog to American eagle, francescas, bath and body works, and of course three dog bakery. All of the staff at the stores were really nice to us and our dog and we felt comfortable in the stores. I also appreciated all of the safety measures at the stores like masks and outside lines. This is also just a pretty mall to walk around on a nice day. We rounded out the day with lunch at Pies and PInts in the mall which is dog friendly as well! We had an awesome sweet corn pizza and the dog was given some water and they were really kind to him.

It is very easy to order groceries or other merchandise online for curbside pickup. Usually I receive an email in less than an hour stating that my order is ready. There are more than 20 parking spaces reserved for pickup. Employees bring your order out quickly as soon as you park and check in on the app or email. I appreciate that there is no minimum order, as I often need just a few items. Other stores require $35 or more for free pickup. I do enjoy shopping inside occasionally when I have the time. But the curbside pickup is a very nice feature that I take of advantage of frequently. It is great that it is an actual grocery store too, that always has all the items I need. And the Target store brand items are really good too. I like some of their store brand groceries better than the name brands. My favorite hummus is Good and Gather, the store brand.

Decent amount of self checkout, along with a lot of full check outs when it gets busy.

While I've been in this location several times since they've opened, I haven't had one complaint until today. I have never left in tears and I can normally handle myself. Being that I, along with the rest of the world, have had a difficult challenge lately with this pandemic. I decided to treat myself for shopping of things I needed as a pick me up. When you start to enjoy yourself, there's one particular employee who knows how to stomp on your little happiness you managed to scrape together. Wish I would've gotten her name but I was so distraught by her eagerness to embarrass me I, basically, couldn't think beyond that silly moment. She may have been the manager for all I know being that she was the oldest gal working there and claiming authority towards my shopping. However, in my experience managers do not place their opinions and leave the disturbed situation they created without apologizing for the inconvenience. The two stars are for the other employee who was kind to me when I left. It takes one sour employee to make the experience unforgettable. Luckily there's a mall and Burlington next door to substitute my shopping.

I placed my order on Jan. 4 and didn't get my ready for pickup email until Jan. 15, which I thought was a little slow--but it wasn't something I needed urgently, so I let that slide. The ready for pickup email had a convenient link to allow me to choose between coming inside to pick up the item or using their curbside service. I decided to try curbside, pulled into one of their clearly-marked spaces in the parking lot (this area is in the large parking lot that is shared with Ulta, Red Robin, etc. - not on the other side of the building), and told them which space I was parked in. I waited about 10 minutes and then checked the web page I'd used to check in. There was an error in red that said "We're having some trouble, please continue to wait or try again later." I decided to just go inside to see if I could quickly grab my item, but the lines were really long, so I just left and went home. About 5 minutes later, I got a call from a JCP associate apologizing for not being able to get my item out to me more quickly. I wasn't able to run back over there, but I went back the next day and repeated the curbside process, and this time I had my item within minutes. Overall, I think this was a positive experience and think it's a good place to consider when you're shopping around for bargains--they often seem to have really good sales and coupons on top of those sales.

HAIR SALON I always…read morego to a different stylist, many different salons, because I dont get my hair cut often. I decided to try out this salon so I could use my JCPenney credit card. I wanted a trim and my bangs cut. I have had bangs most of my life so I know how they are supposed to look and I can pull them off. My stylist was Julia. She was very nice but did an absolute terrible job cutting my bangs. She cut them dry and later jokingly mentioned how "you never know how they are going to spring back." I have very straight hair and, as I said, my hair was dry so there should not have been any "spring back". She also cut my bangs in front of me so I could not even see what she was doing. When she finally moved I was in shock. They are so short, uneven, thin, choppy, and LAYERED. I did not ask for layers in my bangs. I didnt mention anything at the time because they were so short, there wasnt a whole lot she could do with them and I usually never fully like my bangs when I first leave the salon and take the weekend to mess with my hair the way I like it. This was not tHe case. I didnt realize how thin and uneven they were until the next couple of days. I got it cut on Friday and called the following Monday to speak to a manager. I was told she wasnt in yet and she might be in the next day or day after that. I called every day that week and wasnt told until friday that the manager was on vacation. I finally spoke to the manager today, saturday, and was told i need a receipt to be refunded over the phone, which of course I could not find, or I would have to come in. If i was told this earlier in the week I could have planned my weekend around it but already had plans to get my hair fixed and other things. Tish, the manager, was very professional and handled my frustration very well and actually called corporate to retrieve my receipt and got me refunded over the phone. The end result turned out okay but the hassle to reach someone and the original hair cut was disastrous. Will not be returning but appreciate the professionalism.
