The land was later purchased (1917) by Frank Ball, of the Ball Jar Company and became part of his estate. The shop is filled with Indiana themed items that you can't find anywhere else. They have wonderful Bob Ross themed gifts, books, paint kits and even wigs if you want to do Bob Ross impersonations. Another shelf is full of Ball jars and assorted canning equipment. There were even lovely, hand crafted earrings made from old Ball jars. Local Amish popcorn and other Indiana goodies filled shelves. Garden decor and narwhal themed toys were featured. A clerk welcomed us as we entered and offered assistance. Supposedly they sell sandwiches, but I didn't see a counter for them. I did see a freezer with ice cream bars. Patio seating with umbrellas were in an outdoor area in front. The building is accessible and parking is abundant. This is a perfect shop for Indiana themed gifts.

The products are Kroger brand and some name brand as well. The prices are super cheap and comparable to Aldi. You get a cart with a quarter and get your quarter back when you return it. You bag our own items, bags are $0.10 each or you can collect empty boxes from around the store as you shop for free. Some items I pass on getting here because I can get them for the same price elsewhere, mainly freezer items. But it's a stock-up store for great prices on boxed and canned goods ($0.26 for a box of mac & cheese!), cereals, coffee (under $4 for a box of Kcups), produce, and dairy items.

During my April visit there were more security guards walking the mall than customers. The guards were not nice either. When snapping a pic they said it was prohibited. However no signs. The only nice popular stores have departed. No longer a theater is attached. So many mistakes have occurred with management. The Muncie Mall has a long way to go to recover and I'm not optimistic they will. I grew up going to the mall and it's distressing to see its demise. The mall was once the place to shop and be seen as a teen. Now the selection of items is all but gone. I see no reason to return. 1.5 rounding down.

If you are hungry you have a MCL or Auntie Anne's pretzel. There are several security guards there and this mall is clean!
