I placed an order on June of second. I had not received my order after several phone calls and being lied to about why my order wasn't delivered. On June sixth I canceled my order. Thought it was time to update my review. A lot has change since 2018. We now have grocery pickup, delivery, self checkouts and Wal-Mart +. Store - 4 stars This is a superstore. It is no longer 24 hours (Thanks Covid). As with any Wal-Mart, this place can get very busy. Self checkouts work fine. Some people hate them but I don't mind self checkouts. Place is clean with a decent selection of food and goods. Pharmacy is okay. Not a fan of their fresh produce but other items are fine. Wal-Mart Pickup - 5 Stars This really took off during covid. The Wal-Mart app and website makes it easy to place your order. Select the day and time you want. If you order early enough, you can pickup the same day. When you arrive, park at the designated spaces and tell the app your space number. Very easy. I have never had an order screwed up which is very impressive. This is my preferred method to get groceries and household items from Walmart. Walmart Delivery - 3 Stars Place your order with the app or website, like with pickup, except select delivery. I have Wal-Mart plus so delivery is free. Well kind of. The tip is a killer. App defaults to a 10% tip, and you can adjust higher or lower. 10% on $200 worth of groceries is $20. $40 if you tip 20%. That's significant. Don't take this wrong. The delivery driver deserves the tip. Another downside to delivery is I have had orders delayed several times because there wasn't a delivery driver available. Sometimes the delay was a few hours, and a couple of times I didn't get the order until the next day. With Walmart less than 10 minutes from the house, I normally just go pick it up. read more

They have a sticker price then when you pay they tell me it's no longer that price. Was told they can just over ride one item. Call BS on that. Asked to talk to a manager and they sent me a team leader. Ask for a manager and was told she was in charge It was just 5.00 but they need to read Sam Waltons book.The customer is always right! I stopped in here at about 5 to pick up a birthday present. It was locked in a display case as it was on the pricier side so I had to find an associate in the electronics department. I approached to employees chatting and politely waited for them to notice/acknowledge me. They looked at me obviously standing there waiting to be helped but then broke eye contact and walked over to a computer on display and almost looked like they were playing on it, laughing. Not the biggest deal just annoying. Another associate walked up and immediately asked if I needed help and she proceeded to grab the keys and walk over to the display case. She took out the item and brought it to the register to ring it up. Stupidly on my part, I didn't look at the screen while she was ringing it up so I did not see it scanned at regular price even though the display showed it was $10 on rollback. I mentioned it and she said she would fix it. She attempted to just scan the receipt and return and would have me repurchase it at the correct price. Well, the system wasn't letting her do this, but she did not mention that to me. I thought she was returning it and just redoing the transaction. No. She had grabbed a gift card and loaded the amount of the item on the card and wanted to swipe that instead of returning it in the first place. She didn't say this so I inserted my card and it charged me again. When she noticed I did this she just said "oh, well here's a gift card for that amount, sorry" and continued to explain what happened. She wasn't rude about it and seemed apologetic so I'm not upset about it, just monotony inconvenienced. It's not a huge deal, I'm not out any money. It's just that now my $100 that was good everywhere is now only good at Walmart. Other than that, it's a Walmart. Nothing spectacular. read more

I remember when this Walmart first opened not too long ago. While visiting family I, of course, had to make a Walmart trip. I visited both the grocery side and the home goods/etc side. The grocery side appeared to be well stocked. I found everything I needed and then some! Prices were fair. The other side of the store had all I needed as well. This was a clean and seemed to be well organized store. I used the self check out so I have no idea how long the wait is. But I did see cashiers standing at the end of their aisles waiting on customers so I think it was probably moving along at a reasonable pace. The thing to keep in mind is this is Walmart. Most people come to this brand for price so we can expect that the customer service may not be compatible to say other brands such as Younkers or Von Mour which sell at a much higher mark up. So for a Walmart I would have to say this one was in line with what I would expect. UPDATE: 01/31/2018; Absolutely the cleanest and well organized Walmart that I have seen to date. Wait was 4 minutes in line. Pretty darn fast for any Walmart I have visited yet. Pricing is steady with what I have come to expect. read more

Like so many others, I've shopped at Walmart for years. They did a push awhile back about the quality of their meats but I've always found their prices a bit on the high side. But last week, I bit the bullet and bought a package of sirloin steak. It looked good and it was $16. Sirloin has always been my favorite cut of steak. I seasoned the steak and on the grill it went. Cooked it to medium (slightly pink center). WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I know sirloin isn't the most tender cut of meat but this was a chore to chew. It even crunched in some bites. Not good eats. My daughter also found blood vessels in her steak. I'll stick to the major grocery stores for my meat needs from now on. Maybe this was a one-time thing but at $16, it's a mistake I can't afford. I'll still shop at Walmart, but don't ask me "Where's the beef?" read more

Absolutely AWFUL place to shop for anything!! The employees are beyond rude and extremely unhelpful! I will not be back and I will be getting my groceries somewhere else from now on as well!! I went in very early on Saturday morning to get my kids bacon and eggs for breakfast and while I was there I had to grab toothbrushes. My dentist suggested one of the more expensive oral B they are a lil over $40 and I ask the rude lady to please get me a toothbrush. She proceeded to get the toothbrush and ESCORT me to a register and scan it...yall I had absolutely no plans on stealing this toothbrush. needless to say I told them they could keep it!! I am just a mom of 3 that was getting breakfast and a toothbrush and was treated like a criminal in my local walmart. Please try shopping somewhere else event hough walmart is convenient. This is by far my favorite Walmart in the area and quite possibly the best Walmart I've been in. First, you can always find a parking space close by the enterences. Second, the set up is a different than most new Walmart stores and i find it easier to navigate. Third, it is always clean. Fourth, this particular store has a larger craft section with a big fabric section. Fifth, this store while can get busy it is never as crowded as the ones in Winston, Salisbury, or Statesville.Sixth, everything is usually stocked and avaliable. My husband and father like the large hunting section. My only issue is that the fabric counter and paint counter are rarely staffed and you have to search for help, but this has been my experience at all Wal-Mart's. Also, the pharmacy techs can be a bit unfriendly at times but the usual lack of crowds makes up for it. read more

I bought a kodak camera from my local Walmart. That was a mistake. What a piece of junk... I tried to return it but of course it is past the 15 day return policy (but less than 30) and they will do nothing to help. Don't even get me started on the in store pick up that I tried to do about a month ago. Item was in stock and it took me 4 days to get it. I will never buy another electronic item from Walmart. Even though this is a nice Walmart, the customer service sucks. The cashier had no clue what she was doing when helping the woman in front of me and the manager was in no hurry to try and help move things along. And they sure didn't care when I asked if I should move to a different register so I could move along, because I had people waiting on me. After waiting for 10 minutes I finally took all $85 worth of my stuff to the self checkout so I didn't have to spend the rest of the evening in line at Walmart. read more
