What got me to write this review, though, is not something ordinary but something extraordinary. For some reason, a large box that was supposed to go to my home in Mocksville was delivered to the Tractor Supply in Mocksville. I am on the fence with this store's customer service, I have accepted that it truly depends on the day, ie., the crew on that day's schedule. I go here when I need to do my bulk shopping or if it's not available online for delivery to my home. I, personally, prefer to order & get home delivery for my bulk items like paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dish detergent. However, this store does have a better meat selection than other locations. Warning: I do not recommend this store for pick up of an online order. The pick up area is in the very back of the store at the restrooms and you will have to wait for the assigned staff member to arrive to assist you then wait on them to locate your order. It is not like other Walmart's where the pick up area is in the front of the store with a dedicated staff person that simply unlocks one of the orange bins your order has been placed in. Taylorsville's Walmart simply has not grasped that pick up orders are centered upon the concept of convenience where a customer walks in and immediately walks out with no waiting or exchange of money. The staff literally act as if you haven't paid for the item yet and trail you to the front of the store. Inexplicable!

Things are always somewhat messy, no real sort of order, tons of cheaply made items. Don't get me wrong, there are some things that I buy here (cards 2/$1, bubble mailers 2/$1, etc) but my visits are few and far between. I had to amend my first review of this place. I originally gave this location 2-stars but have now dropped it to 1-star based on the experience my sister had here: My sister had my niece and my daughter (both under 1.5 years old) with her. She had shopped at Walmart prior to heading down to Dollar Tree to grab only a couple items. She had the Walmart cart with 2 small children, a huge pack of diapers and some other odds and ends. She got there right as they opened and wanted to run in and get her couple items and run out. The manager refused to allow her in the store with the Walmart cart (even though she said she has done that before). He wanted her to transfer both babies AND her other merchandise into one of their small carts OR leave her $70+ worth of items outside the store while she grabbed her few $1 items. Needless to say, she told him that she will be taking her business elsewhere! AND I WILL TOO FROM NOW ON!!! Seriously, it's like wrangling a bear to even handle one child, let alone 2, let alone have other items. She would have been in and out in like 2 minutes and since they JUST opened, there wouldn't be any other customers in there anyways if her cart was "larger than normal".
