It's been at least a decade since I visited a Walmart, and it's likely to be another before I go again. I was shopping for a smart watch online and wanted to see one in person. I stopped two other places, but none were on display. Two of the three guys at the counter were useless; one smelled of pot. The one who helped out was not knowledgeable, but he was earnest. Finally, someone who seemed like a manager located my selection and had someone ring it up; he also price matched the Walmart online price that was $40 less. He told me that there is a 14-day return policy. I ended up deciding to return it 10 days later in exchange for another model. While the wait at the service desk was a bit long, the customer service guy was efficient and pleasant. Then I returned to buy the replacement. This time there were 4 guys, none of whom seemed even slightly interested in helping. Finally one did, but then twice walked away to chat up two different women. The other three shared their shoe preferences, movie reviews, and sexual preferences instead of helping anyone. Called at 6:00 Pm on Saturday and was told they do walk-ins for tires on Sunday at 7:00 AM. Showed up at 6:30 to be first only to be told, by the first employee to show up at 7:15, that they do not accept walk-ins. This must be their common practice because there was another person waiting for the same thing. Incredibly annoying that they were late, wrong, and unapologetic. Another fantastic experience at the Walmart pharmacy. Out of the three employees I interacted with, all were fantastic. The trainee was polite and friendly, the trainer was knowledgeable and helpful to both me and the trainer, and the pharmacist went out of her way to spend 10 minutes with me to make sure the dosage of the medicine would be safe for my dog, as she had not had encountered that particular dosage for a pet in the past. Outstanding service! One note - this review only extends to the pharmacy. The service and overall state of the rest of the store was less than poor. I don't plan to return except to pick up medicine from the outstanding pharmacy. read more

This Walmart is a perpetual loser. Just avoid at all costs. I retry it every few years with the exact same result. The website told me they had a kid's sleep mat in stock. Now, if you know anything about online stocking, most stores (including Walmart) will not list "in-stock" unless there's actually at least two in store. I didn't care about searching for it in the store. However, after searching for twenty minutes (oh my gosh -- every aisle was TRASHED!), I gave in and asked an associate I found playing on TikTok on her phone and asked what aisle I should look in. She said she didn't know and said that it was probably sporting goods. Went to sporting goods. Nope. The kid stocking nightcrawlers said he'd never seen it in his department. Okay... can you look it up and tell me where to look? He literally said he has no way of doing that despite standing next to a computer used exactly for this type of thing, I'd assume. Two managers later, not one person could actually look it up. They didn't have a SKU number. So, I took the two minutes to DO IT MYSELF FROM THEIR WEBSITE and provided it to them. They THEN said it was "on an end cap". But they couldn't tell me where. Oh, okay. Then can you call the store down the street and ask if they have it (according to the website, they also had it in stock) so I don't have to waste more gas? The manager kid pulled out his personal cell and tried calling. You mean you can't even provide your workers with a line to use? Hope they're paying their workers' cell bills. No wonder all the others were just playing on their phones. The manager gave up after letting it ring for four minutes and said they just weren't answering. What a difference a couple of miles makes. There's another Wal-Mart on this same road, a little further south. I said in the review of that one that it felt like it was sucking the life out of me. This Wal-Mart, on the other hand, is much cleaner and fresher and friendlier. I could shop here and when I'm in this part of Milwaukee, I will absolutely shop here. It's worth the ten extra minutes of driving to come here instead. I'd recommend you do the same! If you want something from the beauty section, you face to buy it in that area. There's one person who covers the register, answers questions, and unlocks cases of frequently stolen stuff. Even if there is 10 people in line and you're buying $4 deodorant spray, you MUST pay in beauty because they've suffered so much shrinkage in that area from shoplifters. Here's the thing... Now these shoplifters wait until you're getting something off the shelf and steal the bag from your cart and walk out the door with it. This could also be an issue if you pick up meds, although my experience was with body spray. Think of a better system, or we'll all just go to Target. I took my car and 4 brand new tires into the auto care center to have them installed. 1 day later I had a flat. Took it back and they said the tire was bad and had a bulge and they knew it the flat occurred because it was overfilled, despite them being the ones that filled it and wouldn't give me a new tire to replace it. Went grocery shopping here for the first time in along time. Decent selection for everything. Produce section seemed very fresh. Meat selection good but not huge. I was surprised the prices were higher than I expected... I shop around so I will come back for certain items. "I NEED SOME HELP OVER HERE!!" .......was what I heard shouted from the photo department. "I JUST WANNA BUY A CAMERA. I NEED HELP!" To which my boyfriend and I reply, "Lady, you need more help than a Wal Mart associate can give you." I went to Wal Mart simply because my local Target was out of Nooks. (I'll review you later Target! You're on my shit list!) I had to wait about 20 minutes for an associate to actually grab me a nook in what they referred to as "the cage". During this time I got to explore this travesty of a store. Merchandise everywhere except where they are supposed to be, carts full of crap lined the aisles with no actual customers claiming them, and just an overall sense of despair and sadness. The guy actually checking me out didn't speak english so communication had to be translated, and I left completely unsatisfied. I will NEVER go back to this Wal Mart again. I purchased a Walmart.com order that was shipped to store and tried to have my order cancelled 4 times without any success. I was told to call the call center, which I did 4 times and they stated that they submitted 4 separate requests to cancel the order. However, my order was never cancelled. I then decided to call the store today, a week after I started this whole process and when I called, I kept getting transferred from one person to another as no one wanted to take my call. One lady even sighed loudly on the phone as if I was creating so much work for her. This Wal-Mart has to be the worst Wal-Mart I have ever been too. The parking lot looks terrible. Carts are scattered everywhere almost as trying to escape from their harsh treatment. I couldn't find a single cart that was even remotely good. Garbage was everywhere on the lot. The inside has improve since last year. The items are organized (everything used to be everywhere). The store looks a lot cleaner. If only they would work as hard as cleaning he outside as they did the inside. The associates are rude!!! Whenever you ask for help, the associates have this sour look on their face. They either don't know (lies) or help you with an angry attitude (making me wish I didn't ask in the first place). Already going in and I can hear most of them talking trash about other associates or their managers or they are complaining about their pay. It's like a gang war. I'm so glad items are organized but it doesn't matter if they don't have the items. They restock really slow or never. Associates have no motivation to get their job done. The lines, omg the lines. Everyday I go shopping the lines are always packed with people. It's like a DMV line. It sucks the life out of me to just wait. Wal-Mart may be home to some of the lowest prices but there are plenty of other Wal-Marts to visit. While they have improved since before the associates are the ones that make me never to want to come back again. This Walmart is always dirty. There are ALWAYS items that are mixed up and not by the correct price label. Its a shit show. Items are always out of stock. Things are spilled on shelves. Whenever I decide to treat myself with ice cream, I open it and it looks like its been melted and refrozen and has freezer burn in the inside. My co-workers and friends always have this face of horror when I tell them that I shop at Walmart. Yes some of this is deserved, but lets get straight to the point. 1. Most of the bad rep Walmart gets in Milwaukee is from the "ghetto" Walmart on Capitol Drive. Yes, it is trashy there, no I would not go there to shop. But this Walmart is located in the suburbs, a completely renovated location. Security is not a problem. In fact, every night I've been there, at least two security cars are patrolling up and down the parking lot. 2. This Walmart is located next to the most of the shipping hubs in Milwaukee. As a result, you can literally find ANYTHING that you could possibly need for day to day use. You can easily spend over an hour shopping at Walmart if you have a huge laundry list, and never even have to drive anywhere else. Convenience is one of the big draws about Walmart. 3. This Walmart location is clean, and the service has always been top notch. Managers and associates always help me find what I am looking for, no attitude problems here. 4. The people who shop at Walmart are a wide mix of people. Yes there are some people you would find at PeopleOfWalmart.com. In fact, my checkout line was delayed twice by such characters. But its expected, and at least the shady people are kept at minimum here. 5. Walmart is cheap. Real Cheap. I've probably saved hundreds of dollars shopping here. In fact its baby carrots sell at half price compared to whole foods. Its fresh grown apples from Wisconsin sell at 65% of what Whole Foods charges. This all adds up. Hey if you have the $$, sure go to whole foods. But when you want to save money to use on better things, such as eating good food, why not go to Walmart?! Safe, convenient, and cheap. Sounds good to me. It outstands me how many of peers refuse to shop at Walmart, usually for "safety" reasons or prefering not to deal with those PO Walmart types. First off the parking lot is absolutely disgusting, filthy with garbage everywhere! I went to buy some feminine products in the package was actually open and some of the individual pieces have been removed. This morning I went, and the only reason I go is because it's the only thing that's open this early before getting to work... But rotisserie chicken has been on the shelf probably for days and it's moldy... shelves completely emptied and not stocked... Going on the cracker I'll pick up a box 2 of them are open and literally the inside is open and crackers have been eaten out of it. The management is lacking in the store and again only reason I go there is because it's the only thing open this early prior to work. I also love the fact that your cards don't work, your staff stands around in groups of two and three gossiping about how bad their coworkers are or the management is and what they did the night before. read more

One time my husband and I waited over an hour to get a dresser from the back with our two small children after asking several times for help while people just stood around looking at us not asking if we needed any help with anything.
