Normally I wouldn't have much to say about a mini corner grocery store, but I do for this one. I was around third ward and wanted a soda (I didn't have caffeine today- not my fault). And I happen to see this place and saw they indeed had soda. But also a ton of other other products. It was the most high end selection of products I've seen at a mini store. They had Boar Head hummus, lots of gluten free items, "rarer" craft beer, some fresh veggies, multicultural food, and even chorizo chicken sausage ~$7.50. A soda is $2.50 which is about standard. Some of the items are probably $1+ more than larger competitors. The store is smaller but not claustrophobic. Modern flooring and easy layout. The attendant seemed familiar with the other two customers and brightening up one's day. You're much more likely to know a couple people working here than a pick n save especially with Kroger self checkout. He was talking about how the company wants to find more food deserts to give people a chance it have high quality items without driving somewhere.

Great little convenience store in the downtown area with plenty of variety. Here you can find anything and everything needed for lunch, dinner or snacks. Wraps, salads, fresh sushi and sandwiches along with a variety of brands often not found at a regular store. Service here is wonderful. Everyone greets you upon entering and is so nice. The ambiance is casual and warm. They carry liquor, beer and every kind of sports and energy drinks. Tobacco products and general merchandise. I recommend giving this family run business a visit.

Great little corner market with a Trader Joe's-type vibe. Great selection of beer and snacks (all we were looking for TBH). Grab & go salads, fruit, cheeses and meat - prices aren't bad, either.

A nice and much needed addition to the area. This relatively small place carries a lot of items that can satisfy a variety of cravings, including when you are just looking for wine, bread, and some light snacks. Friendly staff. Also, they carry several vegan brands.

It's really sad that there aren't many options for groceries right in this neighborhood. In saying…read morethat, Sendik's really takes advantage of this fact and raises their usual store prices for this "Fresh2Go" location. Not much more than a convenience store without the attached gas station. Carries some staples, not many, mostly niche products, some private label products, and some fresh produce and meats...but very few. The salad bar is started fresh on Monday mornings and is then covered and let to wilt through the week. The bakery items are usually stale, which means these WOULD have been discounted in a regular store, where at the "Fresh2Go" location they actually JACK the prices UP and sell lower quality items! Most of the staff though, are pretty friendly. Especially to regular, local residents. I am always greeted warmly when I walk by the check-out and even in aisles, when they're stocking, they have been helpful. It's just the shameful use of the highest priced items, that are then jacked up in prices even more for the Marquette Student crowd. Sendik's is truly shady in this regard! Not just the Marquette students live in this neighborhood, there are local area, year round residents who are being terrible gRaped by this exaggerated pricing! The staff even admits that the pricing at the "Fresh2Go" location is higher than their full service locations, and their website proves it as well if you try to order ahead. The stale baked goods and wilted salad bar is so SKETCH...and then they Jack the Prices UP from their full service locations? SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!

I picked up some sushi since recently getting into it and developed a craving and was highly satisfied! Staff was friendly and pointed me right to what I was looking for which I appreciate a lot. I love that they have cold pressed juice here. And think it's cool they offer fresh pressed peanut butter- I think that makes them stand out. I grabbed there magazine they had displayed by the carts and it had some really great recipes for those like myself wanting to continue strong prioritizing health. Fresh thyme is like a more organic feeling pick n'save. They do have seating to sit down and eat at this location which I've done before and have a pleasent view of the city street. They serve hot soup, I've gotten their cheesy broccoli when I was sick and it was creamy and what I would hope to expect. I've gotten lucky with parking in a slot right outside the store but they actually have a parking structure too which is such a stress relief when parking in the city can be a pain! There's a beautiful sidewalk to walk alongside the river just 30 feet down from the entrance as well with benches when the weathers nice and you just want to grab a drink and snack and sit for a minute.

A little less choice in Far East Asian ingredients, and little to nothing of interest to South Asian cooks. The assumption might be that anyone shopping here is feeding a clan because it's hard to get only enough vegetables for two humans, but the prices for fresh produce are so good a little waste doesn't bother me too much (especially since I compost). If you are single and not Asian, and think you're okay with American supermarket instant ramen, you need to rethink cheap eats and try some instant noodle soup from here. A few coins more will get you much tastier instant noodle soups, especially the ones without good English translation on the packages. Add some of the fresh vegetables and tofu or bean sprouts you get here and you can make a cheap meal nutritious and well balances. I guess technically bean sprouts are vegetables but noodle soups require more than two added ingredients I think.
