Again here for the $6 sushi Thursdays. I freakin love that there's a split option! I always get lucky with parking right outside the door but love that they have a private parking structure. Beautiful weather beautiful river to eat by. Everything looks well taken care of and presented. Was picking out a dessert and saw a BOGO deal that I could not pass up for bye one get one cookies. Never had either kind before and I am not disappointed. The crab orange cookies remind me of the typical tea party scones I eat. And the double chocolate isn't bitter in anyway, I'm usually not a huge fan of nuts in my food, but since I know it's healthy I don't disqualify- there was just the perfect amount for it to not be overbearing! I truly love fresh thyme as one of my new favorite grocery stores to add to the mix. Think a better smaller Whole Foods. They provide amazingly fresh produce and often find great deals especially if you join their club. They are also my go to to pick up salmon as it is always priced at a great deal. Their staff is super friendly and helpful as you need help finding anything they are always willing to. read more

It's one of the best hidden places for fresh as good as grocery store gets 5$ sushi on Thursday's. It's really a great deal for an assortment of rolls and also the store is great for some gourmet and organic options that are not found at other stores. A chicken bone... in my toilet paper? Fresh thyme... we need to have a word. I've been using this toilet paper for over a year and this finding makes me question what I've been using on my private parts and the risk to my health. You pride yourselves on this product being "environmentally safe" "socially beneficial" and "chlorine free", but nothing on how it could potentially expose its users to foreign objects and bacteria? This is so unsettling. There should be a warning on here that this product threatens our health. I am so upset right now. This location knocks it out of the park! First off the staff is very helpful and friendly. They even open the lane when there weren't any checkers but just self check out.(hate self check out) love the in-house coffee bar, the deli was on point and available with two employees. I wish we had a Fresh Thyme Market closer to us in Chicago, because this is the grocery store of my dreams! On my many visits to MKE, I swing through here fairly often for groceries, snacks, or a grab and go lunch. The employees are always personable and friendly, but they are also really good at their job! The store is always spotless, check out lines are quick, and everyone is super helpful. The selection is always top notch too when it comes to produce, cuts of meats, and healthy(ish) snack options from some really great brands. The grab and go lunch options are my favorite and some of the best grocery store premade lunch items I've had! My go-to is the spicy tuna poke bowl. It's fresh, filling, and SO GOOD! I've also tried the sandwiches and wraps, both are tasty too. If I lived closer to a Fresh Thyme in Chicago it would definitely be my go-to for grocery shopping, but for now this wonderful location in Milwaukee will do! read more

Fresh Thyme is a cool grocery store that's really pretty conveniently located downtown. It's even conveniently located for me, living nearby in Riverwest, but I don't make it here often enough because it's not the most convenient stop after work. But the merchandise selection and price are quite attractive compared to similar shops in Milwaukee. I was inspired to write this review because I impulsively picked up some strawberries that were on sale and I was surprised by how sweet and juicy they were. In February. They were on the bigger side which doesn't always bode well for flavor, but these were really delicious. All of their produce looks nice and colorful. The deli has their house-made stuff and also items you don't find in all the other stores. A friend from work turned me on to the tuna poke from the fish department. It seems like a weird thing to get from a grocery store but it works. It comes in mild or spicy and is close to the traditional Hawaiian style with just a few ingredients besides the tuna. Their sushi, meanwhile, is OK. It's higher quality than the regular grocery stores' but not as good as what I've had at Outpost. I think their rice has too much sugar and is too cold. But it's also pretty reasonably priced. I get food to eat in-store sometimes and they have a little seating area. They have both a coffee bar and a beer bar but I've never seen anyone there, possibly owing to the times of day I've visited. Selection of refrigerated and frozen items is on point, as is their small section of natural personal care items and beauty products. The employees always seem nice and not obtrusive or pretentious. Like other similar stores I feel like I can go intending to buy only a few items and end up getting much more merchandise than I intended, but they really do have good sales and it doesn't seem like I'm not getting my money's worth. read more

The quality of their produce has been consistently better than many grocery stores in the area, and the prices are comparable. It's a pleasant place to shop if you're not buying a lot at one time (it has limited check out capability). The produce is excellent, if not as extensive as larger stores. Vegan options are more limited than nearby Whole Foods or Pick 'n Save. Staff is very helpful and always available, and the store is always very clean. Unlike other stores, care is taken to remove items that are near or beyond expiration date. Parking is very convenient, and the escalators work. I'm looking at you, Whole Foods. read more

I go to Milwaukee once a year and stay with a friend. I play pretend and pretty much live like a local while there. This involves grocery shopping and I definitely prefer this spot over any other grocery store in the area. First off it's super affordable, especially when you consider the quality of what you're getting. Love the fresh juice selection - I was super impressed because I wanted celery juice, which they were out of and the nice young man behind the counter made me a fresh serving. Super cool of him. Salad bar has a great selection and is fresh as well. Before my local Trader Joe's started serving chile flavored plantain chips, I would make my friend bring me a few bags when she came back to CalIfornia for a visit from here. Legit, those darn chips are why I really like this store. I'll be back in September and I look forward to having lunch here. read more

Fresh Thyme is walking distance from my apartment so I come here to grocery shop fairly often. It's not my first choice because it's on the more expensive side and limited for the toiletries I typically use. However, I love all of the fresh food options. Since I moved away from the north shore, I've been missing Trader Joe's, even if I still visit about once a month. Over the last few weeks I've been shopping for produce and other items at Fresh Thyme and I have to say that the place has won me over. The prices, the quality, the variety...all of it makes for a pleasant shopping experience. And guess what? They are right on the corner of Water and Pleasant! They carry several vegan items, including the Daiya brand. Also, they have a deli section and all kinds of affordable specials. Hands down, it is one of my favorite places for grocery shopping. You'll always find something unique, new, or fun to try. Parking is never an issue thanks to their convenient underground garage! Fresh Thyme is more than just a grocery store. Stop in at lunch and try the juice bar, salad bar, olive bar, or order a slice of pizza or made-to-order sandwiches. (For the record, the meatball sub is great, and has a nice kick of heat.) This is my go to place for specialty food items. If you are looking for a special oil to cook with you will most likely find the item here. They have plenty of options to choose from and you could easily get consumed in all the varieties. This store has a lot of healthy options to offer and different brands that other grocery stores do not offer. With it being the cold/flu season this is a great place to find homeopathic remedies such as supplements and vitamins. I purchased a bottle of echinacea drops which helped to reduce my cold symptoms, so hopefully I will be back to normal in no time. You can also find animal cruelty free make-up, natural soaps, bulk food goods, sushi and a deli that serves sandwiches and hot deli food. The pricing is very reasonable when the items are on special however it can get a little pricey with all the rare items you find there. I like this place it forces me to make healthier choices and I'm happy with that. I am striving for a healthier 2019 and Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is my inspiration. The store is easy to navigate and staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great meat and fish selection as well as deli. Nice place. A friend described it as a cross between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. I can see that. The produce section and hot bar seem solid. They also have a growler area to for a few craft beers. Overall product selection is limited. If you need to make a quick stop to grab a few things, this store will work. If you need to do your full blown grocery shopping and buy specific brands and products, then plan on stopping at another store after you leave Fresh Thyme until it gets old for you to stop in and not find what you're looking for. People were very excited about the deals to be had on opening week. I'll let the dust settle and decide later if I plan to make regular visits when I'm in the area, which is often. There is a small parking lot and an underground parking garage, very similar to the one at Whole Foods on the east side. After visiting the new Metro Market in Shorewood last week, Fresh Thyme did not impress me. read more

Imagine if Outpost and Whole Foods were to have a baby, this is what it would look like. They had a special $5.00 coupon on Facebook for their grand opening off a $25.00 purchase. It has underground parking like Whole Foods. We came from Bay View from 794 and it wasn't that hard to find. Right on Water and Pleasant. There is a coffee bar, a good selection of ready to take salads, a fresh seafood bar, cheeses, an olive bar, sushi...They had really good deals today. Eggs for .49, cherries for 1.79, ribeye's for under $6.00. I also got a whole chicken for under $4.00. There was really good prices on their frozen foods too. The produce is awesome! The peaches and nectarines were prices at under .50 which is pretty remarkable for organic. I liked the prices were less than what you would pay at the bigger retailers. Organic doesn't have to mean going broke. I ended up with a cart of food for $25.00. It's definitely worth the trip. I hope to come back again soon. We grabbed some poke and ready made salads and ate right on the riverfront. Nice! read more

My husband and I came here because we heard that it had opened and my mother in law stated that she had come here and they had some good deals. We were able to find parking relatively easy. The store was fantastic. Like other reviews said, it is like if Trader Joe and Whole Foods had a child. My husband was very happy that their olive bar was reasonably priced. They had a wide variety of produce, meats and other things a grocery store has. The meat/seafood part had a nice selection of stuff - which I'm a fan of. We got some chicken fajita and a sausage stuffed mushroom. Both were quite tasty. I definitely be back because it is a nice grocery store. read more

Huge fan of this place! I've been there 3 times in the span of a week. The best way to describe this place would be if Whole Foods and Trader Joe's had a baby. I get more of a Whole Foods vibe on the inside. But the prices are cheaper like a Trader Joes. Plus, I feel like Fresh Thyme has a larger selection of foods (specifically in their perishables section) than a Trader Joes. I love that I can shop on a Sunday or Monday and it's not packed. Grocery shopping is stressful, but Fresh Thyme makes me look forward to it. Something I appreciate about Fresh Thyme is they keep everything in the same place. I feel like my old grocery stores constantly were deciding to change things up, which confused the hell out of me. Shelves are always stocked, produce is fresh, and the prices don't make me cry. Fresh Thyme is by far the best grocery store option for me downtown. I get to stop in here sometimes on my lunch breaks. They have a coffee bar, juice station, deli, sushi, and a salad bar. I always get my food in a timely manner and it is delicious. Fresh Thyme gives me some healthy lunch options if I am too lazy to pack my lunch! The underground parking garage is a godsend. Even if you don't need groceries, go in to fill up your growler or grab a coffee! Ps. Go to the bulk section and try the rockin' hot mix. Fresh Thyme reminds me of Trader Joe's on steroids. I would not say it's as good of quality as Whole Foods. I'm still not really sure what I think of this store. Good location and it's nice they have the underground parking as street parking can be difficult to find I this area. Huge section for vitamins and supplements. Which I guess I didn't realize there was such a high demand for this stuff but there must be. The produce and meat selection was ok, but I did not really see any locally sourced items. As with Trader Joe's there is a lot of Fresh Thyme brand items throughout the store. They have a pretty large salad bar and take out items. I got the tomato soup which was pretty good. The Chinese chicken salad however had a weird taste to it and hardly any chicken. I checked the label a couple of times after I had a couple of bites to make sure it wasn't expired and it is supposedly still good for another several days. They are building another store by my work in Brookfield. I really don't think I will be frequenting either locations very often. There are so many better stores out there. read more

I am a HUGE fan of this grocery store! They have a lot of free underground parking and they always have decent prices and nice deals and. I often get their their freshly made salads (they don't always have them stocked, but you can ask for them to make you one and shop while you're waiting - my favorite is the Greek with the olives, feta, tomatoes, and dolma), make my own at their salad bar, their fresh pressed juice, their sushi (deals on Monday), yes--I've had their pizza by the slice when I'm weak, and more. They have a good selection of produce, a good meat counter, bulk nuts and such, natural & organic foods/products, etc. Aside from the shopping part, they do have a little area for eating if you so choose - they do have sandwiches, soup, and even tap beer aside from the things I've already mentioned. I went there to get oatmeal cran cookies. Couldn't find them instead I got oatmeal rasin cookies and they were too soft like it didn't cook enough. otherwise, clean and friendly store. they also do not have hard alcohol like vodka, wiskey etc. I had to go to another store to get that. read more

Sick and tired of cashiers automatically assuming you want plastic, even when it's obvious that I brought in my own bags. Ashley was particularly gruff and hurried tonight. I accidentally put my card in the wrong way, after she kept saying 'you can put your card in, you can put your card in' ... before I even had all of my groceries on the counter. She grabbed it out of the machine in front of me to put it in correctly. She jammed all of my groceries in a plastic bag before I knew it, and was pretty upset when I apologized and said I had my own bag. I get having a bad day, but I wasn't rude, actually I was super polite, so was irritated when she was so rude to me and the customer before, and after me. read more
