Walmart is convenient and has a wide selection of items, but my experience wasn't the best when it came to customer service. The store is stocked with most essentials and prices are generally affordable, which makes it a go-to for quick shopping trips. However, a lot of the items I needed were locked up, which made shopping more frustrating than expected. It took extra time just to find an employee to unlock cases, and when I did, staff were either busy or not easily available. That slowed down the entire visit. Once I was able to get help, the employees were fine, but there didn't seem to be enough staff on the floor to keep things moving efficiently. That impacted the overall experience, especially when trying to shop quickly. Overall, it's a convenient store with good pricing and product variety, but the lack of available assistance and locked items made the experience less smooth than it should be. read more

The customers at this location #1340 do not respect the Walmart spark drivers. customers park in the reserved parking spots for pick up. This make it difficult for the order pickers and drivers. I have sever Rosemary Eczema and was tired of the extremely dry flaking and pealing patches on my skin. 1 use of Aveeno body oil mist and finally I am Eczema FREE! I have to thank Myra Stokes for giving me a bottle when my eczema was raging and I still can't believe it cured my eczema. I will forever have this product on me at all times. It's official! Walmart Sucks-Period!!!!!!! The people that work there are literally the worst of the worst! The site says as clear as day " Pick up is available from 8am to 8pm. I show up @8:10 to pick up my deep freezer and guess what I was told??? Pick do not open till 11, yet I was being told this by the Pick Up manager( she was there, do your job). Of course they used Covid 19 as an excuse saying that the area the freezer is located in has to be sanitized, not acknowledging that my friend traveled an hour a way to pick this freezer up for me based off of information provided on their website. I asked to speak to a manager to see if any exceptions could be made and the manger ( if she was even a manager- seems like someone they grabbed off the floor) came out, not really ready to listen or empathize with me, but basically in a monotone voice, ready to tell me what the Pick Up manager said, so she repeatedly said " no, due to covid 19 the hours changed"...... well update your site and stop Inconveniencing people. I walked away from her. I called Walmart customer service to get absolutely no where with them, I don't even think the customer service person asked me what store I was referring to! I do not recommend walmart on Fairington for anything at all. My particular issue was on March 4th 2023. I came to the money center to cash a check and waited in line 30 mins. When i finally get to the front the woman showed me why it took so long. She was very distracted , rude and didn't know what she was doing. She stopped me twice to answer phone calls and ignored me for texts. She gave me the wrong instructions by mistake twice making the process even longer. Today I ordered groceries from #Walmart to be delivered. I received a notification that the order was delivered. When I looked at the picture of the delivery, I realized that the order was delivered to the wrong address. I reported the issue and the agent immediately without asking, refunded my order. The problem was, that was all the money I had until Friday. The order was dinner for two days. Not only was my money tied up, I had nothing else for my family. The last agent Wilbur was really nice. He apologized for not being able to assist me. It's not fair that I spend my money with Walmart and I can't get my monies worth. The prices and quantity are quite appealing, I just can't afford the added cost of a company not being accountable for not one of the errors that occurred. I'm sorry. Walmart is the place you hate and dread visiting, but everything is reasonably priced so you can't help but really like them deep, deep, deep down inside. I pull into the parking lot that is packed. This is Reason 1 why I hate this particular location. The spaces have no real balance to them, some are slanted, some are straight some require parallel parking. Then with the plethora of spaces people still park on the curb in front of the actual store. So not only do you have to dodge people, you have to dodge the cars as well. Reason 2: I walk into the store and d@mn near everyone in the front of the store completly stops what they are doing to stare at me....can you say ackward? I wanted to run back out. I feel like an alien that has just landed. Reason 3: WTF is up with a 20 item or less line? 20 items is a lot of items and really shouldn't be treated as though someone just ran in and picked up a few things. This complaint is concerning the Walmart Automotive department on Farrington Rd. . I went there on 02/14 to get a battery replaced for my car, I had to wait three hours for them to even get to my car and then another 45 minutes for them to finish. In checking out they quoted me a price twice what was on the battery I choose, I pointed that out to them and they said the tech installed the wrong one and he would have to pull my car back in the bay and remove the one installed and replace it with another one which mean an additional 45 minutes of waiting. I asked for the manager I explained to her since it was not my fault the tech put in a higher price battery and how was they planning on making that right, she justified by saying nothing, I should have been given the first battery installed for the price of the original one I picked out, they didn't even offer me a discount. read more

Seems like I went to more Walmarts this week, than I normally go to in six months. Im a Target gurl...but as I;ve said before sometimes Walmart is the cheapest and closest. No wonder they are still topping the Forbes list every year. My skin is hooked on Vaseline Intensive Care Valseline with Coca Butter and not to be racist or sterotypical, but this stuff is always sold out in the African American neighborhoods.....and I was visitin a friend and something told me to hop in the Walmart and see if they had it....and they did. Use the same coupons to buy the same merchandise I tried to buy earlier at another Walmart and this time, the cashier and I were on the same page.....it doesnt matter what the picture shows as long as what I bought matches the description....so plus plus to the service here. Since I knew exactly what I was going in for, I cant comment on if the store was neat and the other staff was friendly as I went straight to health and beauty and got my "grease" and then on to the hot dogs and cheese. Massive parking lot, I almost forgot where I parked...and getting someone to let you out and into the turning lane....well....Walmart cant be responsible for rude drivers.....so....again...Massive parking lot and exiting to the main street can be a hassle. Do you remember the "No Rain" video by Blind Melon? That's when the little "bumblebee girl" feels lonely and rejected until she finds several little bumblebees playing happily in a field. I felt as though I'd discovered a field full of happy bumblebees in this WalMart. It was like seeing a DaVinci for the first time! I'm not a frequent patron. But, I was visiting some relative sand had only brought bare essentials. This means no haircare products. I have _NEVER_ in my life ever seen so many African American haircare products in one place! I have even gone to haircare stores and never seen this quantity or variety! Maybe it's because I've lived in California all my life but now I live in Oakland. You'd think I'd encounter the equivalent here but no I have not. I didn't really notice anything else. And, don't think I'm only talking about shampoo and conditioner. I'm talking about sleep caps, and specific types of combs, daily moisturizers, relaxers, hair pressing sprays, hair gloss. This was the most impressive stock I have ever seen in my life! Yes, I was able to facilitate, flat, un-frizzy, shiny hair for the full duration of my trip. Oh, and yeah, I made multiple trips there with my cousins. I was so blinded by the hair products I didn't notice much else. One of my cousins pointed out that this was not necessarily a "happy place" for us to pass the time hence the loss of one star. read more

On March 8, 2024 at 10:10 PM I placed the order with Walmart for a curbside pick up for AirPods. On March 9 at 10:11 AM. I received a confirmation text that my pick up was ready. I was unable to make it on March 9 to pick up my AirPods, but I was able to pick them up Sunday night. I arrived at the Walmart on Farrington Road in Lithonia Georgia at 7:22 PM. I checked in and advised that I was in parking spot 4. At 7:28. I received a phone call from a Walmart Associate who wanted to confirm that I was outside and she would bring my order shortly. At 7:29 PM I received an email, confirming that my order had been picked up. At this time I had not received anything. After waiting 45 minutes in my vehicle. I notified an associate that I was only there for one item. He asked me for my name and advised that he would go look for my order. He did not return for about 20 minutes. During his 20 minute absence I was able to get a young lady on the phone who was working in the pick up department. She advised me that she could not find my order because it showed already picked up. The gentleman came back outside and advised me he could not find my order. At this time I grew frustrated because I had been waiting over hour for one item. The associate advised that she would have to get a manager involved but the manager over the pick up department was not there. She advised that she was going to speak with another manager, I was able to speak with the manager Mr. Yusuf, who advised me he was not able to do anything for me until he was able to view the cameras to see what happened to the item. While I greatly understand why he wants to review the cameras for his store processes, I did not understand how I was penalized as a customer. I was unable to cancel this order or get a refund due to the order already being marked as picked up. I am still without my item and waiting for the store manager to give me a call back as they review the cameras. This is very frustrating as I am the paying customer and the only one being penalized. I waited over two hours with my small child in the vehicle, just to leave with nothing. read more

Pros: Great location; great parking; lots of variety in terms of product lines to choose from; lots of services available; funny cashiers (this lady schooled this dude so hard the other day). Cons: Vegetables tend to not be as fresh as they could be and there's not enough variety of veggies and fresh herbs; the ladies' restroom can be ABOMINABLE; customer service could be friendlier; on-site McD's doesn't serve milk shakes (ain't nobody got time for that!); and they close one of the main entrances past 10 p.m. which can be inconvenient depending on where you find parking. Overall: it's a good place to get your groceries and stuff for the house, but Publix is likely a better choice if you're looking for fresh produce and a place that takes pride in having a clean restroom for its customers to use. read more

I have several encounters with Walmart.com where I ordered items. Unpin completing my order I received a notification stating the order will be mailed. I have waited 3 weeks for water to be delivered. The shipping company Walmart used is FedEx (horrible shipping co.). The driver lied and said my order was delivered and I was present when I received the notification for the delivery. I will no longer use Walmart and if I can avoid Federal Express (thrives) I will NOT use them for NOTHING. Like someone else said... "hot ghetto mess" is the only way to explain this Wal-Mart, lol. I don't like Wal-Marts in general, but they're a necessary evil sometimes. And this Walmart is definitely not the one you want to go to if you can help it.... besides the hoodness and messiness this Walmart is often out of stock for certain items, and WORST of ALL-- they only have like 2 lines open. Seriously, they ALWAYS seem to work to inconvenience you, especially at night. Often times the lines will get looong, 15+ people in line, and they only have 1 or 2 registers open. WTF! Then you'll look around and see, seemingly millions of workers walking around-- and they walk by like they don't see the long queue that has formed. That alone is reason to give them 1 star... PLEASE OPEN MORE LINES. With all that said, the workers are often nice and helpful when you're looking for something. I've had some nice experiences with their employees in terms of them helping me find stuff, etc... but that's not all of them, but a good number... you can tell many of them are just nice, southern folk. So even though they may hate their job they're still nice to you, which i like. I avoid this Wal-Mart at all costs, but it is vey convenient and has saved my butt on many occasions, especially when I'm about to go out of town and need to pick up a few things or during Holidays. SO that alone is enough to not make me give them 0-1 stars. If they opened up more lines I would give them a 3. OH YEAH, Almost forgot... their PHARMACY is THE WORST. My aunt lives in this area, and has a disease which requires her to get prescriptions filled often. Going here to get them filled is just horrible, they have BAD BAD BAD customer service and attitudes... it's like they don't care about the people in the community. They're so bad, I could totally see someone having a heart attack or stroke right in front of the counter, and they'd look with slanted eyes, then yell out "NEXT". I mean NO empathy or heart. Come to find out this pharmacy is separately owned, so even the store manager can't say or do anything to improve the service in the pharmacy. Not the crummiest Wal-Mart I've ever been to, but it's pretty awful. Shelves are usually messy and disorganized, employees are just kind of there, and the parking lot is kind of a pain to get out of. I am sincerely pleased that there are now two Wal-Marts that are considerably closer to me, although those two both close, and this one is open... FOREVER. With the SuperWalmart, you can get everything you possibly need all in one stop! Groceries Clothing Electronics Lawn and Garden supplies Car repair/oil changes Sporting goods Toys Sewing and fabric McDonalds on site The list is endless! I attend this Walmart frequently because it is so close to my house. Stay away from this location after 5pm on a weekday. You will find yourself standing in line for an endless amount of time. Avoid Fairington Walmart if you have a quick run. I went at 6:15 A.M. I thought I could run in and out. A lot of employees were present stocking the shelves. I asked the greeter for a manager. No one showed up. Only one register was open. It would make sense to put the cashier on the self check out register. Most customers have very little items. Keep the line moving. I went to Kroger on Covington Hwy, they were hardly no customer. A cashier was on the self check out register, and a 2nd cashier was opening a register. Go to Kroger if you want to run in and out for groceries. The price are not higher. Fairington Walmart does not respect you as a customer. Stop giving your business to them until they can do better. I am not sure if the management is horrible because it's in a predominantly black community. I really do not know why we are wasting are time writing reviews it's quite obvious the owners do not care what we say. Yet I'll say my peace because my most recent visit was disgusting. I went in looking for a coupon book, once I attempted to check out the tag was missing the young lady at self-checkout attempted to look for the sku number from the image I provided her from the Walmart app. I'm not sure why she couldn't override the price with the evidence I had; and she sent me to customer service. The lady in customer service was soooo rude; she stated to me that she would not walk back to office supplies because she's been walking around all day. So I the person who does not work for Walmart had to go back and take a picture of the sku although I found the exact item on the app she refused to override so I could leave. Disgusting also long lines; the carts are old and broken, the customers should also be ashamed of themselves not putting their carts back could you be more ghetto although this store does need longer and more cart receptacles, and employees are zero helpful. read more

So our tv got hit by lighting (yes it was on a surge protector) but it still got fried anyway. A family friend offered to buy us a new one. So he got a wal-mart e-gift card. We print out the receipt, confirmation, instructions and the barcode to scan and head out. We pick our tv (one on rollback) and go to stand in line....for 20 minutes. Well guess what...the tv isn't ringing up at the rollback price. So we wait another 20 minutes for a manager to fix it. Then the ecard doesn't want to work. 10 minutes of trying later, the cashier calls for another manager and shoves us off to the side to deal with the now 30 ft line behind us. Another 20 minutes of waiting for a floor manager. Another 10 minutes of trying to fix it. Finally she tells us, that even though its scanning properly, the computer isn't recognizing it, and they're not allowed to override the computer on gift cards. Without hesitating, she voids the entire sale and tries to just walk off. We stop her and ask what we're supposed to do. Are they not going to honor their own card? She tells us we can come back in 3 days when the higher manager will be in. At this point..understandably frustrated...I explain "No ma'am, we're not waiting three days...if you're not going to honor your own gift card that was bought and paid for...we're just going to have our friend call his bank and have wal-marts charge declared as a fraud". "It's not fraud...its just an error in the system...you can call the card company if you want...but I don't know what you expect me to do" and strolls off like the conversation is over. I turn to the cashier and further my point. "She does understand...our friend gave you money in exchange for something, now you're refusing to hand over that something...that is the very definition of fraud?!" Understand that my partner had already called our friend and confirmed the amount had been taken out of his bank, we also called the card company and verified that the amount was there and ready for use. The cashier responded with "Well you cant do anything to me, I did my job" and turned away to the other customers. So we go to customer svc....were after 15 minutes more of standing in line....they fix it in 2 minutes. So back to the register lines....for 20 more minutes. Once again the tv rings up wrong, so another manager has to be called...more waiting. Only this time, the manager refuses to mark it down. "This is the wrong brand! This is a Roku TV...the rollback was for Hisense". Ummm Roku TV is the name of the streaming service the tv has, not the manufacturer! But the woman absolutely refuses to accept that, acting as if we were trying to cheat them. Nevermind that not only did a cashier, another manager, and their floor manager have no qualms about honoring their marked price. So she actually calls a bag boy over to "Take it back, because apparently they think they don't have to pay for it!" Mind you, the cashier we're at also came to electronics to help the 30 foot line, and even she is vouching for us. Even another customer in line, who also stood in line behind us earlier stepped up to vouch for us. "Lady, these guys were back there for 2 hours, your manager agreed to that price, just give it to them and let them go home!" "Well that manager isn't here now is he? If they don't like it, they can leave the store". Mind you, no one was screaming, no on was cussing, no one was being threatening. So finally we just say "You know what, screw it...we've been here for 3 hours...just charge the full price so we can get out of your store...and believe me...we aint coming back". So we did, and can you believe that the lady actually added afterwards "You guys really need to learn to calm down". Calm down? We've been here 3 hours! To buy one item! You spent 2 hours basically telling us our money wasn't good enough for you and that you weren't going to accept our $300 dollars...and now you act like we're the ones trying to cheat you?! So i left her with "We'll see how calm your store manager is after I've called corporate and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau"...which was the first thing I did when we got home. So I would actively avoid this store at all costs. Go to Kroger, Publix, Target...anywhere but here. Any store that hires people that basically say "Your screwed, I don't want your money, and I'm not going to help you figure out how to spend it here" has problems. As others have pointed out....they need to seriously prioritize lines. A 30 ft line built up behind us thanks to the 2 hours we spent waiting for help...then more lines, then more lines, then more lines...utter insanity to keep someone waiting that long for assistance. A place that doesn't want to take your $300 dollars, and then treats you like your the cheat..and that a 3 hour wait doesn't deserve an apology instead of "you need to learn to calm down"...does not deserve any business. read more

This Walmart is a disgrace to taxpayers. Every time I enter this place, my experience is horrible. I took a video of the freezer section having frost bite all over there food, constantly out of stock items, incorrect priced items, price display tags not in right area, expired foods. I also went to get lunch meat in the deli and the young man yelled from the back of the deli, "you need something?" I said excuse me? He replied, "do you need something?" I said yes I would like half a pound of Oven roasted turkey and he gave me the scraps of a pre cut meat. I just walked away in disgust. The line to pay for groceries went so far that people were in the clothing section with only 2 lines open and several employees in front of customer service chit chatting. This was at 9:30pm at night so it wasn't extremely late. Something has to be done to correct the way this establishment functions. I would be more than happy to come in and offer customer service training as I have over 20 years of positive customer service experience. read more
