I recently had a very frustrating experience with one of the employees at the checkout lanes named Lisa. I was trying to purchase a NyQuil/DayQuil packets, but I needed to show my ID. I told Lisa that I would quickly go to my car to grab it and come right back. It only took me less than two minutes to return. When I walked back into the store, Lisa clearly saw me, but instead of assisting me, she walked away and went to the restroom, leaving me standing there waiting. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it definitely felt that way since she saw me coming back, we made eye contact and still chose to walk off. I ended up going to customer service to see if she had left my item there, but it wasn't. Another associate had to go find it, and thankfully I was able to check out with a different cashier. By the time I was leaving, I saw Lisa slowly coming out of the restroom. The whole situation was very unprofessional and felt like a waste of my time. Feb 2024, I came here to look for their indoor cycling bike. I was happy to see that this location had it in stock bc we've been to several location and they didn't have it. As my husband and daughter tried to load it in our cart, there was 15 employees surrounding them just watching them struggle trying to load it. Not a single employee offered to help. This walmart makes me mad. In store there is a sign that states a pool was $8, took a picture of it just in case. I asked for help to get it the register. The coach said they were not going to give it to me at the price it showed on the sign because the other side shows differently and prpceeded to change the sign. After shopping all morning in Walmart I stopped in at the Domino's Pizza inside Walmart and ordered a small gluten-free pizza topped with pepperoni, ground beef and black olives. Party of 6 droppin' by after lunch to pick up medical equipment for a sick 10-month old kid (we needed a nebulizer or some kind of inhaler.) We figure they would have 'em here at their pharmacy section here. While here, I grabbed a few toiletries, snacks, veggies (they have a pretty good produce section.) I don't come here often as I no longer live in the area, but I do find myself here a lot when I am in town. For starters, they have Ore-Ida single serve microwave fries. Now I wouldn't have known what that was until my niece requested them. I looked around in the Austin area back then and that's not something they carried. Of course, now they carry it in the local stores, but not when she wanted it. We came to the Killeen Walmart to find them here while she stayed with me for the weekend. I heard this Walmart had the Killeen Monopoly game, but sold out the same day. I patiently waited and came back last night to purchase. If you're looking for it they have it near the grocery side door. Once you walk in it will be to the right. Glad they were able to get this game back in stock. Check out lanes went quick! Honestly.. I can say I was a consistent shopper at this Killeen location. After today, I wont be returning for ANYTHING, including a return itself. I have never witnessed a placed where discrimination is permissible. I personally watched the 2 woman entrance/exit crew discriminate who's receipts they checked or not, and sadly MAJORITY of those were stopped and checked were black. I noticed this "trend" today, and once I asked to speak to the manager, the lady out front lied to me and told me there was no manager, and if there was she doesn't know of any(to cover for her associate). I called in to this location and happened to get the chance to speak with the woman who trained them. Told her my discrepancies, and I was treated as if I was calling in and exaggerating, rather than being taken seriously, because this is a serious matter. Once I made it clear that I knew my the laws surrounding this issue, and that myself was once terminated from the similar position at a different company for not being thorough enough, I was taken more serious and was told that camera footage will be reviewed to dispute it or further clarify my grievances. Hopefully this will happen in actuality, and changes will be made. If receipts are being checked, EVERYONES receipts should be checked, not just the people that they strike as suspicious enough to further validate, facts. If I was walmart, I would place an associate at the end of every check out, so there is no need for a exit door check. Everything would be witnessed as a legal transaction from the source of, and people can conveniently go about there days, and things like this can be avoided. Of course keep an associate, or few, by the exit to stop shoplifters who weren't witnessed checking out, but not to discriminate who they inconvenience on the way out. (I'm being vague, and not using the names of the associates, because even though it happened to me, they have familes, and I am not trying to shade anyone. But it's sad this even happens to begin with. Be across the board.) read more

Walmarts outside of California seem a little bit better (in a sense) than the ones in California. For one, they seem much cleaner both inside and out. This one, in particular, didn't have a lot of sketchy people (at least they weren't blatantly obvious) in the parking lots or in the store. The areas I've visited were well stocked and the staff I encountered were helpful. A typical Walmart. I've returned a single item, a volleyball that blew up after my first use of it in the glorious game that is Nitroball, and they refunded me no problem, just show the receipt. It's not the cleanest place, obviously, but it's always a good place to go to fuck around if you're bored. They don't have the largest selection of things though, and they don't carry eggnog all year round, which is blasphemous. The 2 for 1$ pies are fucking amazing though, I love them more than life itself. The pizza sucks though, worst I've ever had. Went in to get my WIC items and of course NOTHING is marked so I pull up the online WIC booklet to guess what I can get and do my best. I go to check out and of course a good portion of our baby food rings up as wrong. So how many workers does it take to find the wrong items? Try three and they couldn't even do it. I may sound insensitive but seriously mark the WIC shit and there wouldn't be an issue! I got all of the same baby foods in a few basic vegetables and fruits and of course only one of each flavor is ringing in as unaccepted. The two workers were snickering in a corner the entire time while the manager stood there checking off check marks on a receipt while the line grew longer.
