I went here today to buy Fresh Pet dog food, I always buy 2 kinds, and Of course, they only had 1 kind. I went to check out, and the lady at the checkout didn't speak any English. I had 3, 6 pound rolls, and I put one on the counter and told the lady that I had 2 more. I told her 3 times, and finally a guy came over to her, and told her what I was saying.I had a coupon for $17.50 off of a roll, which is what it costs,. The coupon was sent to me by the manufacturer. It wouldn't scan, so they told me I couldn't use it. This dump deserves 0 stars, and I won't be going here anymore. read more

This store is always is always a disaster. Not very clean and the most unfriendly staff. If help is needed they act like your a bother. I recently ordered on line for a pick up and staff was not friendly and all the bag handles were broke. The bags were over stuffed. My eggs were broke and my bread was flatter than pancakes. I use this location for grocery pick up and really like it! The employees are always kind and prompt when I check-in. There are arrows that lead you to where the pick up location is. As you turn in it is to the left of the building. There are 6 spots. You choose and then check in and let them know which spot you've chosen and your car make and color. Definitely recommend for a nice pick up location! read more

I just wanted to update my review in saying that recently I have been very disappointed with this store. It's a very busy store and they do not seem to have enough staff to run it whether it be just keeping it stocked or having enough staff at the customer service. On my most recent visit I had an item ready for pick up, which I always do the mobile check in to let the store know that I'm on my way, I did that about 15 minutes before arriving to the store. I shopped and got the things I needed and then headed to the pick up center in which I waited along with three other customers over 10 minutes just for a representative to come to the pick up station. I understand that stores are busy with the holidays but they need to provide the appropriate staff to meet the stores needs. To me that shows just how good the management is by keeping up with the trends of their store and making the appropriate adjustments. The only reason I continue to go to this location is due to its close proximity to my home otherwise I definitely would avoid this Walmart read more

If I could give a ZERO, I would. This is the worst store on the west side of Indy. The shelves were empty at 5:30 in the evening, there is no one available to help and ask questions, the cashier seemed to have an attitude (then go home) and the store as a whole is in disarray. I go to Walmart because of the pricing and I know the lay out, but I won't be going back to this one. This is pitiful. This is just not a wonderful place. I used to be a Walmart acolyte, but their seeming complete and utter disregard for any sense of customer service changed my mind, long ago. Never have I been to a store with so many unoccupied employees. I might be ok with that, except for the fact that every register has ten people in line, at a minimum. I suppose our blatant consumerism is to blame. After all, we know what to expect when we visit this store, yet we return time and again. Went to the Pharmacy at the super Walmart on 4545 Lafayette Rd., Indianapolis, IN, this evening, just coming from having dental surgery and needed to take medicine that evening but as I got there they had just closed the drop off, didn't know what to do but the pharmacy team was so kind and made an exception to help me get the needed medicine. I want to thank Dr. Joe, Jordan & Yuan for helping me with my prescription when they had already close for the evening, Yet they took and fill my prescription just so I can follow my doctors orders. This store is often out of control, overcrowded, long lines, rude customers and cashiers but it is what it is. I shop here often because it's close to home, I know where and what brands they carry and prices are affordable. The parking lot often resembles a demolition derby with both cars and shoppers so be prepared and cautious. Shopping early in the morning or late at night is often much easier on your nerves. I try to keep a list to stay focused and on track to shorten time in the store unless my patience is at maximum. read more

We went to Walmart yesterday for gallons of diet tea. We go to the self-checkout since that line was shorter. Yesterday was the day for people deciding to cut to the front of the line! There was a guy in front of me, then me (and then about 10-12 others). A man and his son casually walked right in front to go next. The guys in front of me explained that there was a line and he was to go to the end of the line and wait like everyone else. He and his little boy apologized and did just that. When I was next in line, a guy cut in front of me. I told him that the line was behind me. He told me that if I wanted to wait in a line, I was a dumb ass but he was not. I told him I was taught to wait my turn when I was in kindergarten and it is rude to everyone else in line when you don't. I'm sure there were people thinking I was a 'Karen'. One Walmart employee giggled about my kindergarten remark but walked away when I asked her to say something to him. I had a guy in line say that he wouldn't have had the nerve to say something to 'that' guy. I asked why and he said 'well look at him!'. Not sure if he meant because he was big, muscular, black, or male but none of them gave him the right to be rude to me and everyone else who had been patiently waiting their turn. That Walmart employee did apparently get an older female employee who just stood between me and the man. Did she tell him to go to the back of the line? Oh hell no. I bet she would have me. Nothing to fear from me, right? Walmart, train your employees how to stand up to rude, arrogant customers!! Don't leave it up to the 60 year old women to do their job!! Not shabby for a Walmart. I grew up in a Walmart-centric rural town, but now days I find myself going there only a handful of times/year. A Christmas gift card was just the extra nudge I needed to purchase some new plastic storage drawers. This WalMart is like most others - I would say that on The Walmart scale it falls in the middle - ya know, you have your yikes-lets-make-this-a-super-fast-visit Walmarts at one end and on the other the hmm..maybe Walmart isn't so bad after all locations. So I place an order for pickup at 11:30am and they say it'll be ready by 8pm. I get a notification at 7:30pm saying it's out of stock. Thank you for taking that long to attempt to fill my order to when it's out of stock. I couldn't purchased it at a different location by now. Pathetic. It doesn't take that long to get 1 item. Well I was just there got my groceries and 2 cases of the 60 count eggs the BIG sign said $4.75... so when they rung up it said $6.21 and I called the lady over because i was in the big self checkout she goes up to the service desk all I could see was her laughing and talking she comes back and said management said you can only get one I say, u need to go get management 2 of them come over, one girl I knew cause I have talked to her before anyway they say I can only get one cause no sign is up there I say u need to go look the sign says 60 count eggs $4.75 they still say u can only get one I say all the money I spend and they are not honoring a sign...I say you can have all these groceries they were only $110. Wish I could give negative stars. Because going in to the store is a nightmare (no cashiers, forced to use self check out and for a senior with health issues, difficulty lifting, etc), have been using the pickup service that Walmart offers. Just as bad as going in. From being charged for items that are missing from sacks to delays in pickup times, etc., It's becoming an every visit occurrence. Today's order is a perfect example. Pickup scheduled for 10-11 time slot. Once again got email that my order has been delayed. It is now 11:30 and no communication as to status of my order. This is my last order or shopping at Walmart. Don't like coming to this Walmart but it's the closest one. Can never find an employee for help. Always have to do the self check out due to no registers ever open. I have a baby in the cart so I HATE doing self checkout and holding baby at the same time. Staff seems like they hate their jobs. The employees are nice. The customers are unbearable. My best friend considers this store to be hell on Earth and I am inclined to agree. There is not one minute during this store's hours that the whole place doesn't resemble the body density of where's waldo. You are guaranteed to encounter several screaming kids at any hour (but this walmart is not open particularly late) as well as mothers saying something hateful to their children (not necessarily paired) and at any time, half the people seem to have forgotten how to find items and place them in shopping carts; choosing instead to stand in the middle of aisles like a roadblock and turn in circles, staring blankly *OR* simply freeze in place like grotesque wax statues, also preventing others from passing. The store has an enormous inventory, but sometimes the system of organization is unfathomable and you are much more likely to not find what you need here as opposed to other walmarts--- it seems to have more quantity than variety, I guess. Examples of items I was told were not in store: fresh basil, emergency blankets. The produce has gotten a little better, but still sucks both in quality and range of items. Almost any other store would yank some of these wilting plants off the shelf before walmart does. There has not been a single time that I've visited this store that I wasn't dying to leave by the time I was at the checkout, nor has there been a time that they had everything I came to find. I shop here. I'm going to continue shopping here. It's close to home, and they have everything I need in stock. The hours are convenient and the prices are reasonable. These are the only reasons I give this store three stars. The service is awful. The floor staff, for the most part, has absolutely no idea what is going on in the store. One staff member even tried to start a political conversation with me (and tried to convince me to shop at Family Dollar). Most cashiers are nice and try to move as quickly as possible. It's the manager with whom I have problems. She is pushy, very unhelpful and unfriendly. It's Wal-Mart. I don't expect perfection. read more

Ugh! I haaaate going to this Walmart but I needed lawn fertilizer. I enter the Garden Central, locate the fertilizer on my own, became only the cashier was there, take it to check out and an employee tells me that the cashier is on break for 15 minutes and offered me a shopping cart! However, as a grad student, I do appreciate the low prices and they have a lot of options on Ibotta. So I came to this Walmart with my list of items and I planned to find some cheap long-sleeved shirts for winter exercise. Pros: *Short wait time to check out *Cashier was friendly *Variety/good selection of items Cons: *Fitting room was closed. When I asked an employee to open it, she walked past me, chuckled, and told me she didn't think anyone could open it for me. I went by three times to check. Closed every time. *I was not given my receipt. I take responsibility for not noticing this before I got home, but I believe it's important for the store to provide. *I called the store twice to see about getting my receipt. Helpful staff when looking for things which aren't where I'd expect them to be, and low prices to stock up in bulk for our campsite weekend.
