Nicest, prettiest, cleanest Walmart I have ever seen. This walmart has an Atrium full of light at the entrance that is spectacular. There is also a lovely mural of the historic town of Homosassa at the entrance OuiOui. I have never seen such a beautiful clean modern walmart in all my life. The shopping experience was surprisingly satisfying. We found everything we needed. We also both loved the super clean modern bathrooms. Will def return. read more

Walmart just ripped me off for $122.00. They fabicated their data to to falsely claim that I received two storage shelves. I will never shop with them again! I'm finished with Walmart, I didn't think that any merchant could be as bad as Amazon - but Walmart is number 1 now . Ripping off customers who can barely afford items! I would be ashamed of this type of poor customer service. Bad Merchant! read more

After being blown away by the horrific prices of the local Winn dixie, and then going to a local Publix - also expensive, we found a Walmart. Let me just say this is where the locals shop as it was very busy. True to Walmart the prices were way cheaper. This is a super store, and is MASSIVE. read more

I'm reviewing the Homosassa Walmart for website service and customer phone service today only. I was looking for a special toy for my grandson's birthday party who's theme was Scooby Doo. There's been a resurgence in popularity of the beloved cartoon pooch since his new movie Scoob came out. He really wanted a new character Blue Falcon and his dog sidekick Dynomutt. Their website indicated that they had them in stock but from previous experience I felt the need to check before wandering into the store with the increase of Covid cases in our county. I called four times and after a lengthy waiting time my call was answered by a associate who's demeanor over the phone indicated to me that she would rather be elsewhere. She connected me each time as I requested - two times my call was disconnected and then I waited twelve minutes the first time before hanging up and fifteen minutes the second time for someone from the toy department to pick up the phone. Feeling extremely frustrated I called the fifth time and when I explained my situation, she became rude with me saying that the associate was busy. I then asked to speak to an Assistant Store Manager so they could assist me. After another lengthy wait around ten minutes the toy store associate answered my call. He put me on hold to check out availability of the toy and came back on the phone and said they had none on the shelves. I explained to him that their website indicated that they had the toy in stock and was promptly told that the websites are often incorrect!! A very disappointing and unsatisfactory customer service experience once again with this Walmart that is closest to my home. They definitely need to work on their people skills and their inventory keeping! read more

my mother received a letter about having unclaimed funds from Walmart 2 Walmart money transfer. the letter had a reference number and very clear instructions to bring the letter and her identification to the local Walmart to claim her money. she brought the letter with her, and the woman working at customer service told her, without even attempting to take a look or help my mother, and instead, told her it could be a scam (anything to avoid doing your job, I guess). This woman instructed her to go back home to call them and get a new reference number. for what reason? apparently just to waste my elderly mothers time and energy because when we called they told us that the reference number on the letter is active and she would need to go up to the local Walmart and retrieve her money. she returned to the Walmart and claimed her money with a different employee, and the original letter. i don't usually leave reviews unless I feel unsettled. this was ridiculous and unsettling. My mother spoke to 2 managers and all they did was justify why their employee wasted my mother's time deliberately. While it is Walmart, and one can only expect so much, but please work on holding your employees accountable. read more

My best friend is handy capped went in the Wal-Mart in Lacanto, Florida. He is in a mobility scooter, He loads what he needs in his basket and checks out. On this day he forgot to take his medication and probably should have stayed home but did not. He looked at some things close to the door and started out. Without thinking he had not paid for the things in the basket. As he went out he was stopped by a man and told him he needed to pay that he was stealing. He was also told he was to NEVER come to that store again. About three years ago he did the same thing but the store was in Mobile Ala. When he realized he had not paid he took photos along with the receipt and drove all the way back to Mobile. ( 4.5 Hour drive) He loaded the cart with everything he had got from the other store, paid for all of it and put everything back on the shelves , That is NOT THE SIGN OF AS THEIF PEOPLE. That is honesty in the purest form. The sadness was he was treated so bad. Had the man asked if he had paid for it he would have simply gone back into the store and did what need to be done. He is handicapped , (Viet Nam Vet) Sometimes he does not think straight but a THEIF HE IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am ashamed of the man that stopped him. Why not just say, did you have a receipt and that alone would have been enough to turn my friend around after APOLOGIZING. I cannot help but wonder if the man at the door asked for the receipt and THAT would have reminded my friend and he would have turned around and paid for it. To bad that people just assume the elderly are thieves and treated that way, As for me and my Family , that store is totally off limits. 7 years shopping just came to an end. read more

Liquor selection is bad. Not sure if it's a Walmart thing . Great fun selection. Cleanest and best Walmart I've been to

If you ever need a cell phone, ask for Lindsay Paulin, WOW WHAT AN AMAZING PERSON!! SHE KNOWS HER JOB N DOES IT WELL!! I caught a virus in my phone n laptop all in one weeks span, and was very irritated to say the least, when I got to Walmart to get another phone. My carrier is Verizon, whom I would've never been able to be so patient with them. Lindsay Paulin from TRoc which is an outside company that handles all the cell phones for them, Lindsay not only handled, everything for me, she went above n beyond to make sure it was done, and done correctly! She was already supposed to be off work n stayed to finish me up, also Kyle that works with her was very helpful and was happy to assist with anything she needed! She (Lindsay Paulin) needs to be recognized for her wonderful customer service skills! I also wrote an email to her corporate office, letting them know what an asset she is for their company! She deserves it all!! THANK YOU!! LINDSAY PAULIN AGAIN!! read more

I called the store today looking for potting soil and was put on hold for 10 minutes then it would ring back to customer service and then I would get connected again, well needless to say this went on 3 times because I wanted to make sure the potting soil was in stock, it's a 25 minute drive from my home, well customer service told me call back later because they were very busy and there are only 2 people working the phones... I would rather pay double and take my business elsewhere..... read more

I am usually not a fan of Walmart BUT I have to give them credit for their online pickup service. I've been using online pickup since the pandemic began. Over the course of a year, they have made 1 mistake on my order. Part of my order that required refrigeration was overlooked by an associate who was in training. I called the online pickup dept as soon as I discovered the shortage, they quickly identified the mistake, apologized and offered to either issue a credit or hold them for me to pickup. I picked the missing items up the next morning. They have turned me into a Walmart customer with this service. read more

How parsimonious is Walmart ? We just left Walmart in Homosassa swearing never to return Apparently, it is all ' self check out' during the late night hours. It took me roughly 15 minutes to check out. There were 5 customers, including myself attempting to check out. We all encountered significant delays and problems. The clerk on Duty could not have been more pleasant and professional. She did everything she could to help, including bagging groceries to help. The system is what sucks. One elderly man left his cart full of groceries and left in disgust. Obviously, Walmart Inc. believes it is more beneficial to forsake customer service for profits. We will be shopping at Target and Publix in the future. read more

It is a good store. You can always count on Walmart for good prices and quantity. It is a good place to get almost anything. The reason for the 3 star is the bathrooms. They are really nasty. People are pigs. Don't pee on the floor and crap on the seat and leave it for someone else. If you want to do that at your home do it but not everyone lives like that. I hate dirty people. Walmart only cleans the restrooms when someone complains. That is what I was told by a manager when I complained. Go figure. Thousands of people use those restrooms clean them every hour at least. read more

They have recently just changed their hours so no longer open 24 hrs. they are now open from 6 A.M. to 1 A.M.

Small supercenter, no Deli, no fried chicken, no auto center and other departments limited choices.

Terrible customer service. Rhonda who works at the Money Center (maybe she works in other departments as well) is probably the rudest person I've come across. read more

I am usually not a fan of Walmart. I have to psyche myself up to go there because of the general pandemonium and lack of guidance most people get when they are looking for that specific but obscure item they need. Well, my hunt I thought was simple. I went in to the Homosassa Springs, Florida store for two outdoor garbage cans, and after a half hour of wandering around like a lost puppy, I turned to a male employee in the garden shop and asked him where on earth the outdoor garbage cans were. He directed me to housewares where the indoor cans were kept. Screwing my courage to the sticking place, I took a chance on a female employee. She actually led the way. The cans were over on the opposite side of the store! I have never seen a Walmart employee care enough to help a customer to that degree! Thank you, Kirstie!!!! read more

The employees are unhelpful and when we were using the self check out the manager was breathing down our necks, we're not thieves and never have been. It was super unnecessary. We stopped at dunkin on the way out, got coffee and went to leave only for the manager to follow us out of the store, I could feel his breath on the back of my neck he was that close. If I wanted someone to be in my personal space I would have asked. I have a receipt and can prove I purchased everything I left with. What a joke this Walmart is. read more

This is not a review of the Homosassa Walmart, but the Lecanto store. The Homosassa store seems to be the closest one on Yelp. On September 16 around 2:30am I called to inquire about the availability of a/c window units. I had just went to the Walmart in Inverness because the app said they had them in stock, but was told that they were out of season. I decided to call first before driving to Lecanto to see if the app was wrong again. I got a guy on the phone who at first seemed not to understand me (actually seemed to be mocking me) then answered immediately that they did not have any because of Hurricane Dorian. When I relayed this to my friend he asked why the storm would affect that, and how would he know. I honestly didn't know so he called the store back to ask why since we were curious. The same man answered the phone (we were in the car on speaker) and instantly got defensive and rude. When my friend got exasperated with the guy on the phone talking bad about the company and the app in general, he asked for a manager and was told the man we were speaking to was the M.O.D. When asked his name he said it was none of our business and hung up on us. This now set my friend off, all we wanted to know was why the app would be wrong, when it is operated by Corporate, and why we were told at one store they were out of season and at the other they were sold out because of a hurricane. We didn't call to be belittled and spoke down too, and definitely didn't call to start a problem. So my friend (who is now angry) called back to ask the guy what his problem was and ended up in a shouting match with this supposed manager. This is beyond ridiculous. There is no reason for such a sub-par excuse for customer service. All we had was a question and were treated like we were out to personally ruin this guy's day. I'll go to Ollie's in the morning- at least they will be polite if they are out. read more

Gentlemen, This unit is just fair for my money. My bitch is handicap scooters. I'm 90 years old and walk with a cane and also with pain. There has to be a way to police the usage of scooters. I love this Walmart because the employees are all so friendly. A special kudos to Brandon, who works in the electronics department. He has helped us find what we are looking forward and has great advice and knowledge in the field of electronics. The lady, who is a familiar face to me at the Garden's cash register , is a friendly and genuine nice person as well as Ellyn, who specializes in the fabrics and sewing department. She has all the answers to one's questions regarding upholstery and sewing. Thanks for making shopping here a nice experience. Joanne Lindsay read more
