It's an okay Walmart Supercenter. Some days it's good. Never great, but good. Other days it's just terrible. There are transients scattered everywhere. The parking lot confuses out-of-towners. Folks put puppies in the back of trucks here. So sad. In the evenings the migratory birds swarm all of the trees and they are so loud. It's crazy. Let's move into the actual store finally... The place has been an absolute mess and then some. Dirty. Unorganized. Open packages. The carts suck. The shelves are empty or damn near it. The attitudes from the employees equal those of the other patrons. Why is it like this? The only reason I give it 3 stars is because of the low prices. Ample parking during the mid-mornings. And at self-check I can still purchase whiskey, tequila, and beer with the assistance of an employee. It doesn't take more than a minute usually. I have found that it's faster and more efficient to do self-checkout as much as I detest it. That sums up this love-hate relationship. read more

Schedule an oil change in automotive department. Even made an appointment on the app. Still waited over an hour to get it done and on top of that they never have my oil filter. What is the whole point of scheduling an appointment if I'm still having to wait just as long as though who don't schedule. This will likely be my last time and I'm considering other options going forward. read more

It has taken the mechanics over and 2 hours for a rotation and oil change. I was told it would be around 15 minutes for each. They're not busy whatsoever and when I asked about what was going on the man behind the counter was rude. Not coming back read more

Got a cordless saw to do project work Got the extended warranty saw lost all power took it back for a exchange and they didn't even look for my warranty. Said no box no receipt no exchange. Someone is Walmart's corporate whore. read more

The Walmart in Hobbs will remind you every time you go, exactly why you hate Walmart. They're terribly understaffed, but the few workers they do have are rude and have zero customer service skills. Parents shop with their kids and allow them to run rampant, screaming and destroying merchandise. Parking is a nightmare, as is the 45 minute checkout experience. The only time to go is between midnight and 6am. If you're female, you'll probably get hunted down and followed by whomever is running the floor polisher that night, but at least you can somewhat get your cart down the aisles and you don't have to listen to someone else's screaming kids. read more

Consistently rotten , overpriced produce, and management doesn't care. I honestly think they set their no longer sellable fruits and vegetables aside for the Streetside customers, and returns, refunds are impossible, without going into the store, standing in line at customer service, and wasting more time than it would take to go inside and do the shopping. I tried the refund link at least 10 times, every time, "Something went wrong in processing, please try again", and store lead, Cheryl Yokum suggested I keep trying. I will never shop at Hobbs Walmart, in-store or Streetside again! read more

The store in Hobbs,Nm on the lovington hwy is absolutely horrible. They have the laziest bunch of employees I have ever seen at any company. They straight up refuse to help you. They just barely do their job and the manager does absolutely nothing about it. They are blatantly rude and use foal language with customers and in front of other customers. They have no customer service skills at all. They take their time in everything they do. They can see the red lights going off in the self scan section and they just stand there and continue their conversation with each other. You physically have to walk over and ask them for help. Then they get mad as if it isnt their job to help customers and make sure the cash registers are working. I shop at Walmart alot but I am seriously taking my business elsewhere. This store is a terrible store with terrible employees and management. This store needs attention ASAP!! I will be posting this complaint on several sites and filing a complaint with the bbb . Every time I have to shop here, my ocd is through the roof. If I could, I would rather drive to Midland and shop at HEB to get my groceries. I understand this Walmart is very busy no matter the time but when the shelves looks like this and there's never anything in stock, what are the $14/hr employees even doing? I had to shop there twice within a four day period and everything was still the same, even the cookies thrown in the shelf like that. If they could just dedicate some time and labor throughout the day to recover their departments, it would actually be shopable. Also, there is always palette drops everywhere and no employees stocking the product that is on them making it almost impossible to move your cart around easily and a potential safety hazard. read more

Went to Walmart in Hobbs NM and bought groceries...they charged my card 2x for over $200.00. When I called to ask how to fix it, I was told that one was pending and only one would go through....BOTH WENT THROUGH AND MARIA IN ACCOUNTING WAS NOT HELPFUL. She continued to tell me that it did not go through to the bank and if it did it must be the banks fault. Well the bank didn't charge me twice. It took Walmart 5 seconds to STEAL money but I have to wait until the claims department at the bank can resolve it....10 days. Thank you Walmart for being okay with stealing from people and hiring such great customer service. Watch your wallets and accounts carefully so Walmart doesn't STEAL you too. read more

Just passing through when I lost the tread on a trailer tire. Rolled in to the tire/lube center at 6:25 (closes at 7). They refused to sell and install 2 tires that close to closing. I ended up having to get a hotel in town till the morning. read more

Quite possibly the most understaffed store ever. It's a Walmart. It's a Walmart that has half the number of employees of any other Walmart. Be prepared to wait at checkout a LONG time. read more

I've been to worse WalMarts...not many. The staff here is very poor...do not know their store, not overly friendly, and not at all helpful. The store is generally untidy and somewhat dirty. It's not terrible, but it's not that good, either. read more

Most walmarts are pretty unorganized with little to no care about appearance or being neat. But damn this walmart takes it to a whole new level. Ridiculously unorganized. I can't even imagine how much inventory falls off the trucks before it makes it to the shelf. The wait time to return a product is 30min at best. read more

if they had less than one star I'd give it! This is THE WORST Walmart I've ever been in and I lived in several places including the Memphis area. This one is the worst, it's dirty, it's understaffed, it's never stocked. The clothing selection is awful, the produce doesn't last when you buy it. The women in the Deli are downright rude and disrespectful. I did have a chat with the asst manager a week ago while he was working a check out and he states that they are aware of the issues and are hoping to change it and turn the public opinion around. Plan on spending upwards of 30 minutes in-line unless you happen to be the luckiest person in the world and get in and out faster than that. The customer services desk rarely has more than one person working it so that is a huge wait as well. We've spent tons of time just waiting for someone to wait on us in the lawn and garden area so we could buy a patio set! The bathrooms are disgusting, hold it if you can. We always thought that they were short staffed due to lack of employees, however we were told by a cashier once that is not the case, it's that management cuts their hours and that's why there aren't any cashiers. They also do not have 'self check' lanes like every other Walmart has. read more
