*** just what my athletic heart desired ***…read more The Athletique is a new athleisure wear boutique in Hobbs. (Love that they used a French word! It means "athletic.") They had their grand opening on August 23, 2024. I finally popped in while my kiddo was at karate class on January 7, 2025. Owned and operated by the family and creators of Martin Boot Co., the beautiful, clean shop is solely for men and women with quite an array of sizes. They offer workout clothes, yoga outfits, and golf attire. I was impressed with the quality of their materials and designs. The prices were not exceedingly high, but don't expect Walmart budgets to go far here. Additionally, they sell shoes and some accessories such as candles, sunglasses, tumblers, lip balms, and skincare supplies. There are no kids' clothing here and that will likely remain, according to the owner with whom I spoke personally - she's lovely!

Cotton Castle delivers some of the most posh clothing in this small town…read more The store caters primarily women. Albeit younger women. I didn't realize this before I went in school shopping with my two young daughters. They thought it was a cute store, though. They sell blouses, dresses, skirts, dress pants, and just about everything else garment-wise in between... Also in stock is jewelry, purses, shoes, hats, and other accessories. They offer more affordable fashion jewelry, but I also saw a young man purchasing some of their more higher end fine jewelry which was tastefully displayed in a well-lit area. There is abundant, free parking in the North Vista Plaza near Music World and Miller Waldrop Furniture. Their Facebook page seems dead. They are very active on Instagram which is way more up my alley for pics: @shopcottoncastle. Check 'em out!

I shamefully admit I have been here since they renovated last year (2024). It's bigger, better, and addictively charming. My daughters chose a freshie (car air freshener) for their dad. He's going to love it. Their selections of freshies is vast. Almost overwhelming, but you're welcome to open the zip-locked bags and smell the various scents. We picked up some Valentine goodies also. The young lady working solo at the register on 1.20.2025 was very professional and welcoming. TIP They offered 20% off everything that day - something I wouldn't know if I didn't "follow" them on Facebook. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The owner at Smarty Pants is the epitome of kindness…read more This women's boutique in the growing small town of Lovington, NM, is deceivingly large. I thought the first room was it then I continued to two more large rooms. She went out if her way to show me the most adorable bath and body care items she ordered for the Christmas holiday. As of 9/19/2023 she was building a new shelving unit and unboxing items like bath bombs and lotions - perfect affordable stocking stuffers. I picked up a few items for my daughters' nana's birthday. She is going to love the earrings, lip gloss in the shape of a wine bottle, & the adorable little knick knack we got her. All for just a little over $32. Plus she gift wrapped it for me! TIPS + Brighton jewelry is sold here! + Debit & credit cards are accepted.

What sets them apart from other boutiques in the area is their sizing. For women is starts at small and goes up 6X. There are dressing rooms. Everything is affordably-priced and super cute. I really adore their earrings--all of them! The lady working there on 6/6/2023 was very friendly & helpful. They ship anywhere in the US for a flat fee of $8. Cash App, credit, debit & cash payments are accepted.

Vintage Soul Mini Mall is an adorable boutique with new and vintage gift items…read more My oldest daughter and I popped in on their soft opening on 5.1.2025. I was so excited to learn that the owner of the previous business still owns this building and has really cool stuff still. These are vintage items, not antiques. I'm vintage. Or so I like to tell my kids since I was "borns in the 1900s." Bruh. *face palm* They had cookies & lemonade for us to enjoy while we perused the multiple small rooms of items. She has some women's clothing, jewelry, tumblers, and so much more. Adorable shop! Very affordable prices! Support local businesses. If the parking is filled up front, there are more spaces around the back. PS - thanks for giving my daughter stickers to put on Mr. Man. Lol. (A mannequin with a flowerpot for its head that was greeting everybody as they drove by.)

Martin Boot Company has long been an established Western wear store in Hobbs, NM…read more This review is for their brand new store on Bender Boulevard. It is a beaut! You'll notice right away the clean white bricks on the outside. Ample, free parking is available. As soon as you walk in, there is an old-fashioned coin-operated kiddie ride horse. It's adorable. Then there's the polished wood floor. The high ceilings. The uber organized sections for men, women, and children. Multiple dressing rooms. My favorite area is probably hats. There is an attendant specially for that section to get your new hat fitted, shaped, and on your way to the upcoming fair & rodeo in Lea County. I was greeted at the store, but was slightly disappointed at the lack of customer service thereafter. Nonetheless, I will be back for some new jeans. They also sell jewelry, belts, cowboy wallets, coolers, tumblers, and more. Roy Rogers sang, "Let me ride through the wild open country that I love / Don't fence me in." Do it in style too... Check out Martin Boot Company, y'all!

Lockin Stitch Embroidery is the outfit my company uses for all of our apparel…read more They have other items for sale in their shop like rally necklaces, stickers, and tumblers, but embroidery is their forte! Our technicians and electricians tend to wear long-sleeve shirts year-round, but we have also bought short-sleeve collared shirts and jackets because New Mexico has some wacky weather... even during the dog days of summer. The employee that greeted me at the front was cordial and prompt with our snap-back hat order of over $1,000. They all looked amazing. This time my bosses decided to order two variations of camo and some black hats with our Zia logo. I just saw some pullover vests on their Facebook page that look sharp - I might have to inquire about them. If you live or work near Lovington, please check out this local business for your own business or organization! There is minimal, free parking near the plaza where they are located by the old courthouse. Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LockinStitch
