As soon as we opened the door to go inside, we noticed all the lights off. My daughter was hesitant, but I pursued. Lol. Seconds later, we saw a man in a cowboy hat who promptly said hello then turned on the lights. It was awkward. So we quickly walked around. More frustrating than anything was seeing no prices on any items. It was, however, mostly organized: - blankets - cookware - garden figures - pottery - ristras (some even heart-shaped) Just as we were about to leave I thanked the man and asked if they accepted plastic as payment. They do. I also asked what time they open. He matter-of-factly replied, "We are open 7 days a week." Lol.

There was one regular who started talking to us and then went and got his food and ate with us. He was a funny and fun character. He had so many jokes....one for every letter of the alphabet....and more! The owners have a huge collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia. The decor is in showcases and the place is well lit. The menu is quite large, and we had a hard time choosing what we wanted, but we settled on Tostilocos, ice cream scoops, and paletas. I for a Pecan/Nuez paleta, and it was delicious as expected. My family also loved their ice cream choices, but we were a little disappointed by the Tostilocos. While the portion size was great, the cueritos were chopped so finely we couldn't fully enjoy them. The service was awesome-- our server (and cashier) was kind, patient, and friendly. She allows the kids to taste the flavors and wasn't annoyed when we asked questions about the menu and the shop. The shop has so much potential, and I am rooting for it.
