Today, I called the store to schedule a Hydrotherapy appointment. I spoke with a gentleman who informed me that Amy's available slots for these appointments are at 1:00-2:00 PM or 2:30 PM. I explained that these times wouldn't work for me and asked if there were other options. He mentioned that Amy might be flexible with her schedule. I then checked my calendar to see if I could accommodate one of the regular times, as he also mentioned there were available slots in August. He then asked what time would work for me, and I replied with 5 PM. He immediately responded, "Blah, I don't think Amy will do that," cutting me off before I could finish. I was about to suggest 5 PM this week or 12:30 PM next Monday if that was possible, but I never got the chance. So, I said, "Um, okay, never mind." He responded, "No, Jessica, what is it? Well, what is it?" I told him I would find another place for the treatment. He said something I couldn't hear, and I ended the call by telling him his response was rude before hanging up. I already felt uncomfortable discussing this appointment with a man, and his rudeness made it even worse. Hydrotherapy involves being partially exposed, with only a blanket covering you, so it's crucial for me to feel comfortable with the staff and the environment. The clerk that was manning that area walked off, no problem, however I ran into an issue and needed her help, but she was nowhere to be found, so we had to go find someone else. When she returned, I had another issue with scanning up an item. She told me it was because my friend picked up a bag before it was time, yet it still would not let me continue ringing up my item. She walked over with a terrible attitude and repeated what she already told us and told me there was nothing she could help me with that it had to fix itself. This stores customer service is awful!!! The camel was funny, as he/she was very vocal. Trying to compete with the rooster, maybe. The barn store had a lot of canned items, jams, beets, sauces, salsas, random veggies. It housed various souvenirs as well. The young lady there was super nice, a Texas Tech student that was home for the holidays. Very neat place. I asked them how business had been and they said they had been blessed during this time. We bought 2 pints of cider (one apple and one cherry for $2 each) and a pound of tart apples for $3. They had honeys and jams, nuts and mini pies. It's about $2 to feed the animals and admission costs are all covered by donation.
