I usually go to Target, but my mom wanted to go to Walmart. And she forgot the reason we came 5 minutes in since there was so much stuff. I wish there was a map at the front of the store so I didn't have to walk around so much, especially, because my mom walks slow. We were able to find certain items that are not easy to find in the Bay Area. The workers were all pretty nice and respectful. The other customers were also polite. I appreciated that the drivers waved us on to walk, whereas in the Bay Area I've had cursing matches with drivers. Got to yell "I'm walkin' 'ere!" And a lot of flavorful words for lame drivers I'm 80% sure cheated on their driving test or paid someone to do it for them. I had no issue with people in the store and everyone was pretty polite. No one hit me with their cart or purposefully cut me off or physically try to intimidate me. And the store was clean. There were some items that looked like they had been opened, some items looked dirty. Other items didn't have prices (because they were hanging but there was no price tag on the rack) and a lot of things were placed on the wrong rack. So minus one star for that. This location is also conveniently located by the highway, our hotel, and some restaurants. And if you can't find what you need, there's always Target across the street. read more

I have no time to write everything that is so horrible about the store but right now what just happened to me is mind-boggling. I am handicapped; I have neuropathy pain in my feet and the severity comes and goes. I can hardly walk today I'm in so much pain. I pulled up in front of the sliding metal doors to the nursery to ask the guy sitting right at the door if they had Clematis vines. I was parked 6' away from him with my hazard lights blinking. I smiled and said hi and I asked him through my car window if they had Clematis vines. He was cold and unfriendly and works in the garden department but he didn't know what Clematis was and instead of opening his phone and looking it up, he said "what's that?" I explained and then he pulled out his phone and he asked me to spell it for him and I did, and then he showed me a picture and he said "is this it?" and I said "yes" Then he said "okay, it says we have one". I said "I need three, so all you have is one?" "No, (he said impatiently) no, it says we have 10." I said "okay, thank you, but you said you had one". Then I said "I need three, and I'm handicapped and there are no handicapped carts on this side of store. So will you please walk in and get three for me, and you put them in my car for me?" He said "No I can't. I can't leave my post here." I said "okay I understand, will you please call customer service and ask them if they can send someone to come and help me?" He said "No, I can't do that." I asked an older couple walking into that door if they would look to see where they are for me, and they couldn't find them. When they asked him where they were, he pointed to a stand with pack of seeds in it. They told him I wanted the plants. He said "well all we have seeds." on Tuesday, April 2 my husband and I went to go to Walmart supercenter to go get a tire place first mistake there. Secondly there is absolutely zero cars in the shop. They ask us to go inside and make an appointment just to wait 30 minutes to schedule an appointment just for them to tell us that they don't have any of that. They don't have any availability, but there's absolutely nobody coming in to get a tire replaced. There was nobody even when they sent us out. This tire shop is the worst. Do not go to Walmart. I think this Walmart is good to go to early in the morning. My return went really well. But sometimes employees do not know where things are like J had to buy a certain type of Hershey chocolate that was a certain size and no employee could help me. I also was looking for a specific spice and the lady gave me the wrong one hence having to return things. I also once was looking for cups before Christmas that I could put sleeves on as cute gifts for a gift exchange and an employee sent me to the disposable cup section. Online pickup: The delivery to my car clerk was GREAT but...the wait outside: More than 24 (!) drivers - not customers - were taking ALL of the shaded parking spaces and just chatting outside of their vehicles while senior customers like me had to wait in the hot sun for our orders. Well For one thing, I'm frustrated. Every order I make, and I usually make very large orders. I'm always.missing several things on my list. It several fails, its frustrating, even more so that it takes 1 person to take the order then another person to deliver it. The delivery person doesn't know wether the order is right or not. Yesterday I made a little less than a $200.00 order. I'm waiting for it to be delivered. Well it never was delivered, so I sent back to the website to see if there was a problem. But of course, my order wasn't on the site. Now I'm puzzled as hell. So I call the o line and delivery number. The phone rings 29 times and No One answers the phone. If you need something behind the glass doors they have everything stored in your screwed. No employees will help you, they'll all walk past you and say they don't have the keys but they'll call someone who does and they never do so you stand there for 35 mins waiting. I even called the store to get ahold of customer service to have them send someone to the back but they also don't answer their phones! 65% of their employees that do the outside orders pushing those carts around are rude as hell and can't be bothered with simple questions. I'm certain if I was not Caucasian I would have had help trying to scan my 30 pound bag of cat food at self check this morning . The scanner would not work and attendant was just watching me but I was invisible. Yet she jumped up to help non Caucasians. If there's an item that's behind glass doors, you have to push a red button that calls a team member. I guess that's exempt from this store. I pushed that button 4 times in the span of 10-12 minutes. Nobody came. I could hear the "assistance needed in pets" from nearby employees, yet nobody came to help me. I found an employee and told her. She said that they should be coming. After I told her that I did push the button and waited now 15 minutes, she sighed and asked another employee. The other employee said, "Yeah I don't know. I don't have the key to pets" and continued walking to the back. The woman told me, "Sorry" and walked off. I didn't get what I needed. Just for dog flea medicine. Insane. Covid-19 Phase: This store is HUGE! Everything you can think of and then some! The grocery area is awesome! That was the area I stayed in. There is so much to see! I went to just get gum! I should've known better! I bought more! Lots of great stuff! Almost forgot the gum! I checked out and the worker was very nice. Long line, but moved fast. The store was clean and well taken care of! This Walmart has a solid automotive section. I also like that they have a lot of parking spots for online pickup. I'm not keen to go inside as it's either crowded with regular folks or nowadays, employees fulfilling online orders, which can be quite the hassle to deal with when you're bumping shoulders with employees while trying to grab the last cabbage haha. The grocery section is not always fresh as well. I don't think this Walmart has a good perishable grocery area. I feel the building is starting to get outdated. I also think that there's usually not enough employees available to check people out. I prefer self-checkout, but I feel sorry for older people who don't know how to use the system. read more

I despise Walmart with a passion. I was required to work here as a vendor. It was horrible. It's big, it's ugly, it's noisy, it's crowded and the stuff is really not that inexpensive. Actually, a lot of the merchandise is low quality and way overpriced for what it is. I'm not into the "one-stop-shop" sales model where they have a little bit of everything, but the selection of what they have is very limited and bad quality. I do not like the idea of buying clothes in the same place I buy groceries. Regarding the self-checkout, there are people with a full cart of groceries slowly scanning each little thing while I am waiting behind them with only two things I wanted to buy. I know sometimes they have "15 items or less" lanes, but not always. So I go to a lane with an actual cashier, but the cashiers are about as slow. (I figured that since I have to be in the store anyway for my job, I may as well buy some things while I'm in the store.) The waiting around is just not worth it. Target is not much better. I also happen to know that the managment at the Hanford Walmart are not very nice people. I don't blame the employees for being rude and stressed out, honestly. Say no to big box stores. Shop at little stores where you can easily find what you're looking for with no stress. read more

The bakery there is awful!!! We ordered cupcakes and a cake a week ago to be ready for pick up today at 4. We received a cancellation email today 2 hrs before pickup! Employee Jenifer in the makeup department was the worst. At first, We asked if she could help us open the nail case and without even looking at us she just says "mhm" Ok. Fine. However when I went back because I forgot something, I heard someone asking for help in spanish, she rudely replied in a sarcastic condescending way "I dont know what you're saying. I dont speak spanish" like it offended her so badly? That's when I stepped in and helped translate, and the whole time she was scoffing and laughing to herself in a mocking way!! This morning my wife and I stopped in for a few things and found no check stand open. Only self check out. I had a six pack of beer and the sign at the register only said they would check ID. The associate came over and told me that I would have to go over to customer service (which of course there was a line). The associate there checked me out but since we had a bunch of bananas and she didn't have a scale, that I would have to go back to self check out. Left the bananas. I was super polite when I expressed my frustration. Her response blew me away. "If you don't like it, go shop at Save Mart or something." Probably wont be back after the last few experiences at this Walmart. This review is only for the Hanford location. They lack customer service and they rarely have cashiers at the registers. One trip I ended up putting 4 bottles of alcohol back due to no cashiers being available and purchasing alcohol at self check out isnt allowed. The lady informed me I couldn't buy alcohol at self check out. Even after explaining that there were no cashiers so how are customers supposed to buy it? The lady said well call and complain. I asked for a manager, at this point the lady finally mentions I could buy it at customer service (that should have been mentioned in the beginning rather than being rude). I ended up putting the bottles back. Regarding the last trip to this Walmart, I was at self check out and I notice my tp was wet. I asked the lady if she could take the tp cause its wet and she questioned where and inspected it. Um ok there was a huge hole in the package so I showed her. I asked if anyone was able to get me a replacement because I was already ringing up items, had my 5 yr old, and also had ice cream. She says ohhhhh let me see, then came back and said its going to be awhile. I told her you know the last few times the service has been awful this store should fix that. It's pretty crazy that I've been sitting in the pickup spot for over an hour and have only seen 3 cars get their orders. They don't have anyone working in the pickup section. First, let me say this 3 star review does not mean I have sold my soul to the devil. I hate you, Walmart. And i hate your rollback prices because they lure me in, only i have to wait in a 2.5 hour line to get my 3 items that are 15 cents cheaper than Target. those are the minutes of my life i really ponder how low am i willing to go for cheaper items. Like Lucy mentioned, there's fabric here (yay!) and they have a crafting section that is slightly impressive for a Walmart. Initially, i dismissed this area, but when it came to wedding stuffs, in desperation, i came here to see what they had. They have Wilton brand stuff and it's not really that bad. Honest. They have tulle like Michaels but cheaper. They have some things that Michael's does but cheaper - for example, toasting glasses are $10, at Michael's they are $24. They sell 24 packs of mini bubble packs for $3, when vs Michaels it was around $7 for less or around the same amount, i forget. I would definitely come here when doing a craft project just to price check - you never know. They even sell Martha Stewart brand crafting supplies here. A tip: when the lines are looooong, try and sneak into the auto side or jewelry side to pay for your items if they are available! But they can't help you if you have groceries, something about their register needs a weighing machine. read more

I went into this store to pick up some pet supplies, and was absolutely shocked at the state of their aquarium livestock. Not only did they have multiple dead fish in several of the tanks, but there was a dead fish simply left in the sink near the aquariums to rot. Several of their betta fish were in cups with visibly discolored water and several of them were already dead. The smell was absolutely atrocious and the fish that were alive were visibly stressed (gasping at the waters surface, clamped fins). If you're going to sell animals it is your responsibility to ensure that they are well cared for. This is completely unacceptable. read more

It's very irritating that since they have self-serve or scan and go, you still get stuck in a line trying to exit because one associate has to check all the items to the receipt. I waited 25 minutes for someone to come unlock the cabinet in the pets department I left my whole entire cart full of stuff there walked out. I went to Walmart this morning to pick up a few things for dinner. Considering it was Mothers Day, surprisingly it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be! And thank God for that! With all of the self checkout lanes the company has placed within the store, there was only one lane open with an actual human being at the register. There were at least 7 people waiting in line at the time. Which I waited in line for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Has personal interaction and customer service become so unimportant at Walmart, that they would assume that most of their customers would want to scan and bag their own purchases. I am officially done shopping here. Today was the last straw. So I am here to whine about it on Yelp. I was double charged for multiple items. I stupidly didn't check my receipt, trusting the cashier, until I got home to Lemoore. It happens. So I called to speak to the Service Desk or a CSM. I was on hold for over 30 mins. During this time, the operator in the fitting room picked up four times asking where to direct my call. Each time, I let her know I was still on hold and waiting for someone to pick up at the Service Desk. NOBODY ever even picked up the phone. So now I have to drive back to Hanford AGAIN to talk to a human being, which we all know will be a fun time. It's obvious that NOBODY at these stores cares about customers. It's low prices draw people in. You can never find an associate to help you. Nobody answers the phone. Cashiers are rude and incompetent/careless. That's if you actually use a cashier instead of the automated registers which rarely work properly. Oh! And don't forget to show your receipt on the way out because even though you just spent hundreds of dollars, you may be a thief. Btw, I worked for Walmart for years. Ordered a solar camping shower and gel pack replacement for a portable toilet. Toilet Item package listed 6 and received a badly damaged package with 5 replacement bags. Both shower and toilet bags were packed inside another box for shipping. They want me to return the t-bags at a cost of almost $10.00 shipping. Item was a little over $12. Bad business. The worst customer service experience of my entire life was today at the Walmart auto center. I ordered tires last week from Walmart online that were due to be delivered to the Hanford Walmart on Monday. I scheduled to have my tires replaced on Wednesday. On Tuesday, I received notification that my tires were delayed. Naturally, I needed to know how long they would be. I called the auto center several times, and no one answered. Okay, so I contacted Walmart online customer service, and they told me there was some sort of mistake and that my tires were there at the Hanford Walmart. They told me to contact the auto center. Okay, I called several times, but they didn't answer. The next day, two hours before my appointment, I received a notification that it was canceled because they didn't have my tires. I called, and finally, I did get someone who told me I could "come down and check." I went down there, and they swore to me that they didn't have my tires and that Walmart customer service didn't know what they were talking about. So they went and checked in the back, and sure enough, they did have my tires after all. Well, one would think that this experience could be salvaged because I was still 30 minutes prior to when my appointment was to begin. Well, as it turns out, because they mistakenly thought my tires werent in yet, they mistakenly canceled my appointment. They said, "no problem", they'll put me on the walk-in list. I walked around Walmart for about an hour and realized I hadn't gotten any notifications. I walked out to the garage, and there was a line of cars, 4 open lanes, and one lane where one guy is standing there not actually doing anything mechanic-like. My car wasn't even in the line. I asked a passing mechanic how long before they got to my car and they said 7 hours. They expected me to wander around walmart for 7 hours without telling me because of their epic failures. I will never, ever go back to that Walmart again. They are literally the worst. I went to their online chat section and they apologized again and again, and I was like, "Stop interrupting, I'm not finished". If I could leave zero starts I would. read more
