Every time going into Walmart is a nightmare. The employees have pallets out on the floor which makes it harder to move around. There is no one ever around to find for help when needed. If you do find employees they are out in the parking lot talking and/or smoking. When it's time to check out there is only one register open and you have to use self check out. If they want their customers do their own check out then pay us to do their jobs. At least when you go to fry's Safeway or other grocery stores they have more then one open and even times they call for help. The self check out lines at Walmart are long and can be there for a long time. I can honestly say Walmart is the worst place to shop. read more

Went in for battery replacement and waited over two hours while someone tried to get the computer to work (said they HAD to register the battery and print a receipt before I could leave). Finally just left cash and demanded my keys back. Only Manager in the department took a long lunch after being told I was waiting for computer to be fixed. Older guy at the counter tried to get help and paged other managers for 30 minutes with no reply. He said he deals with that often and I feel for him. read more

Visiting my parents for a couple of weeks and went to this Walmart to grab a case for my cell phone. Wen to electronics the male clerk was helping someone else but acknowledged me, helped the other customer as he was helping them another family walked up, he then turned around looked at me and proceeded to help the family that walked up I asked did you not see me here waiting before them he lies and says he didn't know I needed help...HOW DID HE NOT when he acknowledged me before they walked up. I went and talked to the manager explained what happened and the store manager said " maybe he didn't see you" you mean he didn't see me after acknowledging I was standing there, the manager then says " perhaps he thought you were giving up your turn" ....perhaps he saw a African American woman standing there and decided to help the two caucasian families instead! I of course didn't purchase what I came to get because I don't give my money to people who treat me like crap! Horrible customer service, electronics employee and manager! read more

She ever so kindly came to my assistance as soon as she could, we had a very nice conversation and she escorted me all the way to the register! I drive past other Walmart's to come to this one, why? This is the one out of the closet ones to me that is always stocked and cleaned ALL of the time. Everything grocery wise we can find here every trip and the other house essentials are always kept stocked. always cleaned isles and restroom shoot been walking past the McDonald's looks clean. Shopped in this store this morning. Used the self checkout, and noticed that the price of one item was rung up as double what it was marked on the shelf. This is not the first time I've experienced being overcharged in this store. It happens most frequently when items have been marked down, but the scanner still charges the full price. Am writing this up as a warning to other shoppers, so that they may be aware and avoid over charges. I don't think it is a plot by the store to knowingly bilk the public, but the management needs to assure that price changes are updated into the store computer. read more

This store was good a few years ago. Go here only when I need to. Have had better luck with going to Buckeye store. Avondale store is better than this one. Store was consecutively out of stock on cheese at the deli for well over a month. Now the store no longer price matches I've been getting the deals at other stores. Normally I would not bother to write a review for Wal-Mart as they won't care. However, I was so annoyed figured it's my Yelp duty. I went there last night to exchange my son's bicycle we purchased that was defective. They didn't have another identical model on the racks. I asked if they could check their inventory to see if they have one in the back. The lady at customer service said she didn't have access, she needed to ask a manager to come down. Sure, no problem I'll wait. It was 8pm on 7/19. 5 minutes or so later a male manager shows up. Didn't catch his name. He asked me how he could help and I told him. I asked if he could check inventory. He stated if it's not on the rack, they don't have one. (Which is a lie) I asked if he could find out if a nearby Wal-Mart has one so I can go there. He looked at me, paused, and said "um, I could call the Dysart location but it will be at least 30 minutes since I'm the only one" . Really? You can call right now! So I said fine, can you get me the number and tell me exactly what I'm asking for? His response "you can pull it up on Google." I couldn't believe how lazy he was being. I just said fine I'll handle it all myself. He said ok and immediately ran off. What a joke of a manager, I can only imagine how horrible he is as a leader of people. I know it's Wal-Mart and we shouldn't expect much, but that guy sucked. read more

If I could give this store negative stars I would. I have a torn meniscus and can't walk well right now. It's incredibly painful. I entered this store with my cane and the only electric cart had a bag over it, clearly broken. I asked an associate if he had any more and he said "probably not. If we do they are at the other entrance or out in the field" I said "can you help me please? I can't walk..." he walked away and didn't return. My husband went to look when he got there and every electric cart was clearly broken with a bag indicating it couldn't be used. I literally had to leave the store because all of the scooters are broken. It's disgusting that this associate wouldn't help me and that they can't accommodate hurt and disabled people. Will never ever return and I hope this employee tears his meniscus and is forced to walk through a Walmart. read more

Big Improvement of how the appearance looks! As of this current week. It recently updated to how it is on the app so you can pick up your online grocery order. Where its near the left side of the store right across from the McDonalds(That should be updated as well). They added new signs and designs so it looks more clean and high end to match up to its competitor *cough cough* Target. This new update is nice to the store so it feels like it's all brand new even if it's been there for a couple years. This Walmart is not my go-to for Grocceries or clothing. It has all your departments for all your needs pharmacy(they are always so kind), grocery, clothes, patio, Beauty and health, McDonalds, and so on. There could be a lot more employees around in the slower parts in the store for help. It would help a great deal. read more

Today I tried to return a pair of shoes, tags on them, in a Walmart bag with a receipt. Instead of being empathetic to what is happening right now and instead of listen to your guest, I was met with a hostile front end supervisor or front end manager. She treated me with zero respect as if I was the problem. Your return policy that no one seems to be aware of is the problem, especially shoes. I have called the store 11 times. I have been hung up on three times. I have yet to speak to a manager. Is it worth losing a customer and someone who has a Walmart credit card over $39. Never shop here. I called on my 11th call and asked for the Store Managers name, Irma and the Front End Managers name Noreen. I am sure I was lied too. Spend a bit more and shop somewhere else. I live down the street from this Walmart. There is an older woman with white hair who works at the self-check out. Every time I see her, she stops what she is doing to come over and stand next to me and stare at us as we check out. I don't want to make assumptions because she's white and we are not but she acts like we're stealing. There were at least three other people checking out at the same time as us, and when one asked for help she yelled across the store to the other customer instead of walking away from us. I don't steal. She did not leave standing next to us until we finished scanning every item. This makes me incredibly uncomfortable. When I looked up at her to see why she was watching me, she turned around and turned her back to me. Am I not supposed to notice you staring from two feet away? This is ridiculous and uncomfortable. The customer service here is lacking and there seems to be no effort to try and correct it. I've had nothing but issues with their online service and their in store prices. This is by far one of the nicest Walmart's I have ever been too in the valley! The employees here are very nice and helpful! But I won't be coming here to purchase my grocery's anymore I purchased a good amount of food here and a lot of my meat products were spoiled and even some frozen items I purchased were freezer burnt and individual bag chips were stale and this is after immediately opening! I don't know if there not selling enough but restock your products nobody wants to buy bad groceries! read more

I moved to Goodyear, AZ. In November of 2020. I came from Omaha NE and had a Walmart supercenter near my home as my primary grocery store for many years with minimal problems. This store location in Goodyear has steadily "gone downhill" with cleanliness, cluttered aisles and empty shelves. My comments via their survey system to their management was met with "We'll do better". This last Friday (12/24/2021) was the worst I've seen it. Their front-line workers tried their best to help me find the products I needed but to no avail. The excuse/explanation I received was that, "It's close to the holidays and people have shopped heavily in the store". I get it but the fact that the store has had the same problem for 3 months leading up to holidays doesn't "hold water". My latest comment on their survey has told their management if things do not improve by the end of January 2022, I will do the majority of my weekly grocery shopping at another local store. I received a call back from "Nickie" later in the day but I was gone. The message she left me was to call back before 7 PM that day. I tried calling at 6:30 PM and received no answer at the store. read more

The first question that comes to my mind upon considering this or any other Wal-Mart is: How much will they pay me to take the stuff they keep in that store? I'm the last to jump on any semi-socialist soapbox, railing against Wal-Mart for crimes against working-class humanity. Hell, I shop at Target and they aren't necessarily a mom and pop business. Most jobs in big-box stores don't pay a living wage, and when I go to a megastore as a consumer I don't expect the human touch. I am looking for an efficient experience in obtaining something I need (or really, probably only want) for a reasonable price. It's just that at Wal-Mart the combination of the herd mentality of their regular visitors, the lighting of the store, the demonstrably lower quality of the items they carry, the indifference of their employees, and the management's general willingness to treat their customers like shrinkage risks makes me wonder if maybe the Soviets won the cold war anyway. Or maybe it was the Red Chinese who won. So to me Wal-Mart has fallen from being a symbol of vigorous capitalism at its best (back in the early 90's) to a symbol of how individual dignity gets trampled when it comes up against the lowest-common-denominator needs of the collective. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT PLACE AN ONLINE PICK UP ORDER WITH THEM!!! If I could give no stars I would Especially if you calley your time. I placed a grocery online pick up at 11:43am. Received conformation that it would be ready for pick up between 7pm-8pm same day. With instructions on what to expect as far as substitutions, where to park and that I would receive text on the progress of my order. Great, I can continue about my busy Sunday, getting the family ready for the start of a new week and a new school year. Fast forward to later that evening I realize it's time for me to start heading the store. I check my email to see if any updates came in about my order, since I never received any text about the progress. CONFIRMATION OF ORDER CANCELLATION. thats what the email read. What the what?!?!?! So, this email came in at 6:08pm. Yes, you read that right 6:08pm. Here I am like an idiot loading up the kids and heading to the store. Less than an hour before my confirmed pick up time. That's when they decide to notify me?!?! Did I mention I placed my order at 11:43am?? Called the customer service phone number. Sorry ma'am it was cancelled at the store level, no notes. Nothing apprears to be wrong with your order. We can offer you $10 off your next order. If this is my first experience and it goes up in flames. You better believe I will not only not order from here again. But, I will drive drive a few miles more to Fry's or try their pick up service. AT THE STORE; was hung up on 3 times while being connected to the right department. Finally spoke with a man, who really could careless. Was so detached from the conversation. I explained, i received confirmation, why would the store notify me so late in the day. I could have made other plans. HE SAID they had to many orders today and would not have mine done in time. Sounds like a horrible set up. He went on the ask if I selected express? I did not. So, maybe if I would have paid the extra $5 dollars it would gave been done?! But, because I opted for the free service that is advertised, I get mediocre customer service and left scrambling for my groceries for the week?!? Please note, you will not be treated as equal if you opt for the the free pick up windows, versus the Express at a fee. At least that is how it was implied to me. The employees at this WalMart look like they were here from 1980. I do not buy the fruit here either because I always see tons of flies swarming around it, and the last time I needed strawberries I was going to buy them here and they were covered in mold. When I asked to speak to someone about a dirty old man came out and kept calling me sweety. I told him if he said it one more time I would throw his nuts in the fryer. ( Just kiding !!) I feel the same as Lola M...I am also giving this Walmart a solid 5 stars! Coming from the island, I felt like I was on a shopping spree coming here and being able to find everything in one store! Very clean store as well, and easy to navigate once you are inside. I know it sounds crazy but on this Stateside visit I was SO HAPPY to get stuff at Walmart! This particular store was amazing as well, in that 1) It is a Supercenter so it literally has everything, and 2) It is exactly like the Walmart in my hometown in Oregon so it felt like I was at home when I was inside! I know it sounds weird, but its a big deal being able to get deli items, Halloween decorations, office supplies, electronics, and clothes all under one roof! Score! They had my favorite chicken from the deli, as well as macaroni salad, and also I found super cheap candy and awesome Halloween earrings, leggings, and shirts! I really do miss having a Walmart, its one of those things you take for granted until its not there...judge me all you want, but I'm happy to give this Walmart a 5 star rating! read more

If you have to go to a Wal Mart I say choose this one. Pros: You will not get into a hit and run in the parking lot. You will not be in a 45 minute line. There is not a cluster in every aisle the workers clean up well and the store is well organized. You will not be hassled into buying a rap CD or knock off perfume in the parking lot Cons: Bad place for People of Walmart photo's - everyone seems normal here You do get shocked a lot like previously mentioned. Be very careful shopping here, many items are not properly marked with their price, the guy who was supposedly the assistant manager on duty today at 400pm bordering in rude when I asked for the item at posted price, I also had to insist with the attendant that he be called. My favorite WalMart. It is the cleanliest one I have ever been to. The other customers are not rude and inconsiderate like others places I have been to. The store it self is fine. I have a hard time with the shoppers. So many shop in herds. From great grandma; to a one day old baby; and the whole family in-between. No clue there are others shopping. You always have to ask them to move aside so you can pass. This never occurs to them to do so without request. Once you get past these folks, you usually find what you need. I wanted to return an item that I found $21.00 cheaper on Walmart.com (with FREE shipping). I went to take my original purchase back or even ask if they would meet my price, and the two Customer Service Reps. at the front desk, told me absolutely no. I was very upset that Walmart would not even meet my price. They told me Walmart.com is a separate entity from their company. I didn't understand this, because Walmart.com delivers to their store. I called Walmart.com right when I was there and they said, it was up to the manager discretion. I was walking around the store and about to give up, when a clerk Shelbi B. (not allowed to give last name) had not felt right about turning me away. She found me in the store and told me her assistant manager "Rocky" would okay it. If it was not for this busy clerk taking the time to research this and take the extra step, I probably would have walked out of Walmart for good and would shop at Target. With the extra effort (which not many people want to do at Walmart), she saved me as a customer. I mean, it's not that bad! They have lots of everything and anything you think you may need (except for sometimes basil or parsley but the staff's very nice and they'll even go to the back To check for you if you ask). I've noticed the makeup section's not properly stocked and this has been an issue for the past month or so at least. In general, the store's clean and the staff's very nice. They keep the store much better organized than other Walmart stores I've been to. Customers are also nice, not ghetto but that's probably because it's in a nicer part of town. I've been coming to this same store every weekend for years now. They have the best prices and they'll price match too. read more
