Tonight, 4/6/2025, I just had one of the worst experiences at the Walmart Supercenter on Gibsonton Drive in Riverview, Florida. I was at the Walmart Drive-up attempting to pick up 4 online orders I had placed. After waiting nearly 40 minutes for my orders, and noticing they were servicing customers who had arrived after me, I asked one of the associates how long it would be for me to receive my order? The black guy with dreads responded very rudely, "I don't know. As you can see, we are busy, so it will be a while, okay?" I responded, "but I have been waiting 40 minutes and people who came 15-20 minutes after I arrived have already received their orders and have left". His next response was to shrug his shoulders, as if he did not care, and walk away. He never even attempted to verify if what I was saying was true or offer any assistance at all. For the employee to act in such a manner was definitely inappropriate. Neither my demeanor nor my question warranted such a response. My next response was to call Walmart Customer Care to report the behavior and let Walmart know I was no longer interested in purchasing the items. Customer service is paramount, but honestly it all begins with respecting yourself. If you lack respect for yourself, how can you respect anyone else. Walmart needs to choose better employees too! There are other stores available to shop, whose employees know what Customer service is and will exhibit that behavior at all times!!! read more

Worst Walmart ever. Stuff locked up. Dozens of workers walking around but no one could help me. I left after waiting on someone for 15 minutes. I'll go elsewhere. The employees are extremely rude and the store struggles to keep the shelves stocked. It is sad that the managers don't care to change the attitude of employees. Corporate leaders at Walmart should take an in depth look at the management and get rid of the substandard employees from supervisors to employees working on the front end. read more

Amazing selection but hard to check the prices because every time I go to Walmart and I go to the toy section I have to scan every single toy. I want just to check the price. It is kind of annoying now but I kind of get used to it and it is kind of expensive but not really because it is Walmart and I've been here like 1 million times so sometimes they have a long line for the self checkouts and sometimes it's kind of like a gamble because you never know if you're gonna get a long line or a short line so it's kind of confusing, but sometimes the store is dirty and sometimes the store is clean and I see new employees every day so they must be getting a lot of employees and every time I walk through the alley. the gates to get in. It sounds like an alarm and every time I walk past it when I'm already in the Walmart, I hear it so I'm like what is making that sound but what's super convenient is there is a McDonald's inside so I get breakfast there while my mom shops and I can see her in the fruits and veggies section so it's super fun. selection is great but prices are over the roof. That's why I gave it four star if the prices were lower than I would've given a five star. read more

What can I even say? I guess that it was open and well stocked. What a complete cluster and disaster this store was in complete disarray. One of my top 5 worst shopping experiences ever. Was Walmart so bar was not high but I could not wait to run out of the place. It looked like someone went around and just let all of the stock fall off the back of a vehicle. Clutter, mismatched stock, pricing hard to find. Other than the cashier also had the rudest service, especially electronics. Never again Always one to give a second chance, Visited this Walmart location again today and what a 180 degree change. Store in great shape. Aisles easy to navigate. Didn't have any interaction with staff but was able to find everything and more that I was looking for and had a great experience. Actually spent extra time looking around. The stores loss prevention profiles you. I was with my child yesterday and I got stopped as I was leaving and thats when they accused me of stealing Walmart sneakers! They said they had proof and saw me steal the shoes, eventually we resolved the matter with them realizing that I did not steal anything and after a frustrating argument and being embarrassed I didn't even receive an apology. Waited over an hour just to exchange a propane tank. Mind you that I had groceries which some were frozen and produce. Called several times and no one picked up the phone for over 40 minutes. If you can't do something you should not charge for it. Surprised that I couldn't self serve myself since we scan our own stuff. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. When I went to grab a cart there were none left which should of been a warning sign but I proceeded to go inside. The shelves were completely empty and the associates had most of the carts. I was frustrated at this whole situation that I grabbed what they did have and immediately went to the check out. At the self check out there was an associate who was being rude and even giving attitude to her co worker for asking a simple question. When I was walking to my car I noticed that all the cart returns were completely full and it looked as if no one had done them all day. I don't even have high expectations for Walmart but this has been the worst experience. read more

This is for the Pharmacy not the store itself. My pain mgmt. doctor normally calls my script in however; he was on vacation so his assistant who I see gave me a paper one. I dropped off the script when they reopened after lunch and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. No problem had shopping to do. Two hours later and 200.00 dollars later I went to p.u. my script. The cashier said that the pharmacist wanted to speak to me. So I went to the other window and the pharmacist proceeded to tell me that she was trying to get in contact with my doctor. When I told her that it was the weekend and that she wouldn't be available and wanted to know why she was trying to contact her anyways. She told me she was doing her "due diligence" and needed to ask the doctor some questions such as why I need the medication. I told her that I thought this was against HIPPA law. I told her I didn't understand what the issue was. I had filled this same script every month by the same doctor and had my I.D. This wasn't good enough for her. I really feel she is biased against anyone who uses pain meds and is letting her beliefs interfere with her job. I am quite angry over the fact that she made me feel like I'm doing something illegal and that I'm a druggie.I was so upset with her that I was going to return the 200. in merchandise that I just bought but my daughter talked me out of it. She claims she is a new pharmacist and needs to get to know her customers and the doctors that take care of those customer. I dont think this is standard protocol, I believe she just makes things up to further her beliefs. read more

This place is a nightmare. Who is in charge??? Went there as the store I wanted to go to did not open up until later in the day. Grabbed the few things I needed and a 10 pound bag of salt for my pool...went to a self check out that another customer out of commission due to a card decline so I waited for an associate/manager to put their authorization one in to unblock it. I waited for 8 mins...no one! I asked a few associates to call a manager but they were annoyed since they were "busy" tending to their to do list for the shift. There was no way I was going to walk to the other side of the store with the items I had and a bag of salt. So I forewarned them I'm leaving my items here! I walked out. They don't care and they have no leadership managing the managers. The number of employees does not dictate any sort of productivity. I will never shop Walmart again. I'd rather pay premium than to be treated like I don't matter. read more
