This is exactly what happened to me when I went to the neighborhood store and I was with a family member and I put all the groceries in the bag after my family member scanned it including the 2% milk and when the self check out was having some issues this young or middle age girl who worked there standing by her other Co worker and came over and she did her thing on the screen and then out loud in front of me tells my family member he need to becarful how he bag that "2% milk" and I stood there like thinking seriously that was already scanned and it was the last thing to be bagged and you tell me that and walks over with a smile and laugh when spent over to stand by her co-worker. We were at this Coldwater rd. Walmart on 5-17-25 at 6:25pm. We were using the self-checkout lanes near the pharmacy. Absolute terrible customer service. I watched a woman customer signal three times to the 3 self-checkout "workers" that she needed help. All 3 of the female workers realized she needed help, but they all just gossiped and looked at their phones. The customer could not continue her purchase, and they just talked with each other about posting things online and laughing and doing everything BUT help her. As I was done checking out, the customer had to walk over and get one of them. The heaviest of the three women "workers" did a pretend to just now see that she needed help, then swiped something on her phone. This store usually is bad but this was extra awful. read more

Recently, there was a certain item my family sought to purchase. We were calling various stores, including this Walmart location. The customer service woman, who was the same person with whom I spoke every call, started very cordially. She sent my call to the appropriate department where no one answered. So, I bounced back. She tried a couple more times getting the same result. Eventually, she just dropped my call. I called back several times to have her simply hang up on me. This was followed by my calls simply being disconnected. So, my wife tried several times on a different number only to be hung up on as well -- the woman seemed to be adverse to talking about the item we sought. Eventually, we gave up. Customer service is garbage and a joke. If you order any big items that don't fit in the pickup kiosk expect to stand around for 20 minutes for an employee to help. I mean, it's Walmart... Don't go into it expecting it to be something it's not. I've never had any serious issues with this Walmart. It's extremely large, and (pre-covid19, anyway) what I need has almost never been out of stock. The exception is certain fresh items like cilantro or parsley. And, speaking of fresh items, another problem is that their spinach tends to rot too quickly. I prefer Fresh Thyme for fresh items. Always cheaper, overall, than the other grocery stores. (As in it's cheaper to do ALL your shopping there than to do ALL your shopping at another grocery store. On occasion, Kroger/etc. might sell some particular pantry item for less than Walmart sells it for, and fresh things are surprisingly cheap at Fresh Thyme.) Obviously a store like this will be quite busy during peak shopping hours, so it's worth it to plan your trip accordingly. Tons of self-check out kiosks. Also has a futuristic tube thingie (and lockers) from which you can pick up items that you ordered online. Felt like I was in The Jetsons. The future is here. read more

I am so disappointed with this Wal-Mart. They refused to honor a price match with their own online site. I drove to this Wal-mart to purchase a Cricut Easy Press 2. Wal-mart has it marked online for $40.00. I showed them this price on my app and they would not price match. Wal-mart should not advertise price matching if they are not going to do it. I bought a bike here in October of last year and it was defective I've had to replace The innertube four times at a cost of $27 each time. I called the store and spoke to the manager and asked him if I could do an even exchange and he told me absolutely not that there was a 90 day return policy. There is no sign anywhere in the store that says there is a 90 day return policy no employee in the store told me about a 90 day return policy the cashier did not tell me about a 90 day return policy and there was nothing on the receipt that says about a 90 day return policy. What's really funny is that I bought the same bike at a Walmart in Miami and had it for three years with no issues and then gave it to a little boy so that he could use it and he still has it. She adds things to order that you asked to be omitted and sends you to service desk to fix it. She complains constantly and uses profanity. She fails to used special pricing. The only reason I don't give this Walmart 1 star is that their isles most of the time, seem to be in very neat order. Other than that, Everything else about this store is terrible. The employees don't even acknowledge your existence. Which would be ok to me if they were hard at work. But most of the time, they are not, they are busy bs'ing with each other. And that's if you can actually find a employee. Depending on the time, there might not be a employee in the section that you're at. No matter where you are, you will more than likely have to walk all the way to the grocery department to find someone. Also, don't go there between 9pm to 6am. For some unexplained reason, this walmart shuts down their U-scans YET, only has 1 register open. So if you forget or need 1 single thing, you will be stuck in line for sometimes close to the 30 minutes ( I left at 30 minutes) because they shove everyone to that single register. It's a joke to have a store that big and only one cashier. I hate going here and try to stay away from it whenever I can. Try to go to Meijer or Aldi instead. read more

I go to this walmart only out of necessity but i feel i have gone enough to make a valid assessment. 1. The checkout lanes are barely being used, at most i have seen 2-3 lanes open and the self checkout lanes have employees herding people into them like animals waiting for slaughter. 2. Employees have a tendency to ignore you unless you make a total *** out of yourself, only then will they do the bare minimum to assist you. I do not like employees bugging me every two seconds but neither do i like a department that is essentially a ghost town. I need a happy medium so to speak. 3. Technically this is not walmarts fault but they could institute a policy to handle this issue. Too many customers camping out in the middle of an isle playing catch up with each other. There is a time and a place for that and it's either sitting in front of your computer on facebook or meeting your friends at a local pub. Perhaps they need to institute a rule that states you cannot take up space in an isle past a specific point of time. 4. Walmart needs to either update the self checkout system so that is functions properly or they need to remove it. Too many times i have had it totally screw up on me. 5. Bathrooms- The faucets are always broken, toilets damaged by customers, they don't keep toilet paper stocked. 6. Many isles are littered with open food containers from customers eating in the isles, pop cans half empty hidden in the clothes department, Merchandise tags stashed inside pillow cases and tool boxes, the entire store is a cesspool of thievery! I'm currently standing in the electronics hearing the phone ring off the hook. NONSTOP employees are standing around acting oblivious to a ringing phone and one employee is standing right beside the phone helping what seems to be friends or family. Even witnesses said employee pick up the phone press a button and put it back down with no words spoken. The phone has gone through two ringing cycles AS IM TYPING THIS. I asked information about their RugDoctor rentals with a simple, "Do you guys have RugDoctor rentals available?" Her unintellectual response was "We have it -- I don't know anything about using it." Not my favorite walmart to go to, it is always a last resort. The staff are always rolling their eyes when asked for help. Bathroom never seems to be cleaned, last time i went all the stalls had the locks taken off of them. Another time i went the cashier said someone had flushed towels down the toilet causing the sewage to come out of the drains and onto the floor, managers only cared about the money and left the store open. We high tailed it out of there once they said that and it made since why it stunk so bad. One time i went i sat up front while a friend got their hair cut and the door greeter stopped only the African Americans and asked for their receipts. The hair salon is just as awful too. read more

Turns out that the depressing box store feeling ensues. Worst Walmart ever. We just moved to Fort Wayne and went to Walmart for some household stuff. We purchased more than $200 stuff, including a table cloth, which we thought is made of cotton based on the package. However, we found it is some kind of plastic when we opened the package at home. So I brought it back for return. The lady at the customer service and her manager gave me a really hard time. They said the same thing as I would said to them, the table cloth is different from shown on the picture with very rude attitude and suspicious look.
