We ate lunch at The Patio and ended up passing this boutique on the way to our car. I'm SO glad we…read moredid! It's a great location for gifts, personal purchases, or home decor. I am always prone to checking out jewelry but, I'd highly recommend looking at the rings and pendants around the cash register (I've added some photos). My favorite part was all the art work and vintage decor that is upstairs. The art is reasonably priced for original work($100-$200). I imagine all the unique pieces sell quickly. It's great shopping for farmhouse, mid-century and everything in between. Lastly, there was an extra friendly woman who was working and setting up a new display. She was helping all the customers even though she was busy! I highly recommend for some awesome shopping!

What a cute little spot in the even more cute town of Roanoke. I decided to stop in after seeing…read moretheir sign by the highway while passing through the area. BEST decision ever last Friday afternoon. The owner is super attentive and will help you find exactly what you need. I was the only person in there during that time but I am sure she is always helping locals who stop in to find that perfect, unique gift. I was blown away at their diverse selection. Upstairs was vintage antiques- some items were expensive while others were reasonable. The prices were typical for any type of antique/boutique shops in the Fort Wayne area. Downstairs was a large selection of knick knack gifts. I especially noticed the different card selection- you won't find cards like these at Walgreens. Great for a personal touch. I was looking for a gift for my nephew's upcoming 2nd birthday. I was pleased to find a decent selection of child toys and clothes! I love finding him presents that are different from the limited selection at larger chain stores. In the back of the downstairs is a room filled with women's clothes, bags, accesories. I asked and some stuff is local (and she is always looking for more local goodies to sell!!! woohooo!) and some is produced in other states but not largely produced. You could tell by the quality that the items were hand stitched. I look forward to hitting up the Paper Moon next time I am in need of a unique, eclectic gift!

What a great first-time experience. They are not kidding when they advertise "thrift store prices."…read moreThe clothes I bought were between $6 and $.75 which I was thrilled about because I strongly dislike going to a second hand store and spending something similar to what I would expect to spend at a Marshall's or TJ Maxx. The two female associates were friendly and professional and allowed me to browse and try on outfits without being over-involved. The products were well-organized and divided by gender, color, and size. I felt like I was able to see everything in my size that I was interested in without searching or feeling overwhelmed. Speaking of size... I noted they have an excellent variety of sizing from xs to 3x. That is great news for people who can't even expect to see their size carried in some stores today! I left the store purchasing two outfits, a blazer and a winter vest (all name brands or 'vintage' and on trend) for less than $40. I have officially become a loyal customer and I look forward to trying their other location soon.

The staff was helpful but not overwhelming, and the little touches that are used in this store allow for an enjoyable experience. And there is a rewards program! But when I was told about their mission to give people second chances at employment, I realized that is the real reward in shopping here.

This is exactly what I look for in a thrift store. Large selection and low prices. Yes, you will…read morehave to dig through some crap to find what you are looking for, but that's what thrifting is all about! There are two things I particularly love about St. Vincent's: 1) There is a huge room full of furniture. Some of it is on par with what you will find at Finder's Keepers, but it is far less expensive. 2) They will go to great lengths to help you load it into your car. This was kind of annoying for me, but I think for most people it would be a plus. Let me explain... So, I have above average spatial perception, and I just KNEW that the table, 2 chairs, and child's rocking chair I had purchased would all fit in the 2-door Chrysler Sebring I was driving. The guy who loads the furniture was far less optimistic. I began to have second thoughts, but when offered to take the legs off the table for me, I was reassured. I am certain that if he would have let me load it myself I would have had it in the car within 5 minutes. Instead, he and another guy spent about 20-30 minutes trying various strategies to get it all into the car. Finally, they went with the configuration I had suggested in the first place, and I was on my way! Although, I was a bit annoyed that they wouldn't listened to me, I was extremely impressed with their willingness to work so hard to save me multiple trips :) This is now my go-to thrift store.

I would rank this thrift store in terms of merchandise, one of the better ones in the city. It has…read moretwo floors , with the lower floor mostly for clothes, furniture, and toys and jewelry...the second floor has a ton of used books, odd records, and dishware. What makes this thrift store standout to me than the usual, are lots of vintage reference and schooling books. Not sure if these books were here a long time or just recently added. If I was still doing vintage collages, it would have been a goldmine to me. Regardless if they are still there or not, it is a thrift store to go put on your bookmarks to check out.
