Number 1 auto center I almost didn't want to write this because I hope I don't end up eating my words later--but this is hands down the #1 auto center I've been to. I've been there three times now, driving from Liberty, and I've tried plenty of auto places across the state in 40 years . The people here are fantastic. I couldn't ask for better employees. I even watched how they treated other customers--very respectful and patient. They were especially kind with me, even when I didn't fully understand everything as a older lady . It all started with a phone call--a very nice lady who told me to come in and that they'd take care of my tire. Meanwhile, the Walmart auto center in Liberty/KC wouldn't even answer their phone for two days. The difference in service is night and day. Here, they got my car done in about 45 minutes. In Liberty, it's never less than two hours.Ive lived in Liberty 15 yrs and worse Walmart ever . I really hope ES Walmart stay this way, because I'll gladly keep driving the extra 15 miles for this kind of service. .. Here's a suggestion--maybe consider giving this team a bonus for being one of the best Walmart Auto Centers around. I stood in line behind 3 other customers. We all didn't have that much but the young girl checking everyone out was doing her best to be slow and just shanking her head as she looked at the line getting longer. We were all frustrated with her taking her frustration out on the customers as it was obvious she didn't want to do her job. I had 6 items. I stood in line for 18 mins and then someone told a few of us to step over to her. I did this and the very first thing that came out of her mouth to me was I guess I have to do 2 jobs and I'm about to blow up for others not responding to the call out on the intercom to come up to help. I told her it would help if they more than 2 cashiers at any time of the day. I expected her to say to me I'm sorry you had to wait so long and I hope you found all that you needed. But nope. I heard about her problems. There wasn't a one of us that walked out of there satisfied with the service or should I say lack of service. It was terminal 55739686 at 13:57 pm. Nothing like getting accused of stealing after you've been shopping there for 5 years and mis-scanned something. Now they brow beat me while I'm using the self-checkouts (because as you can see there isn't enough open cashier registers) and check my receipt every time I come to shop all because I mis-scanned a $4 pizza months ago. The people that work either are great, just trying to make a living, but obviously the management needs to go back to collage. You can not sell and made a profit if it's not on the shelfs, plus get more then 3 cashiers. They have more people doing online picking then checking people out or stocking shelfs. I'll give it a 2 star, only for the real workers. read more

The staff is rarely friendly, whenever the store is packed there's only two or three checkout aisles open, and the checkout clerks are either rude or just aren't paying attention to their own job. Things are changed around all the time in this store, it's hard to keep track of where anything is. When you find something you like, odds are when you come back it'll be out of stock for months. When you try to find an employee to help, they look away and will actually walk away from you or act irritated that you're asking for help. Like, how dare I ask an employee for help?! Gosh! There are a FEW people that work here who are very nice. I've started to notice more nice people working here recently, but that'll probably change as usual... This was a pretty empty walmart. We were told to have a nice day by the self checkout assistant, the cashier was very friendly, and I found what I needed, except I would suggest that they keep their shelves stocked, reason why four instead of five stars. I would go back again... read more

I went to the Excelsior Springs Walmart. It is in a good area, easily visible right off the highway. They also have a big parking lot so there is plenty of parking. The store is not very colorful and there isn't very much greenery either, but I'd say I think it's pretty welcoming. There was someone at the door that greets you when you enter and exit. The products that I bought were good. The products I bought were Mucinex Sinus Max and Doritos. The Sinus Max was good because it helped my sinus infection, and the Doritos tasted good. The customer service was good, a worker asked me if I was finding everything ok as did the cashier. The commercials are not very appealing, I think they could be better. The store was pretty appealing, it was clean but I noticed that they were out of a lot of stuff, they need to stock their shelves. Their availability is very good, they are open 19 hours a day.Their hours are 6 AM to 1AM. The price of the products I bought were cheaper than other stores in our area. Also, they have a few payment options such as credit, debit, cash and I think you can pay with checks. So it's very convenient. Overall I think it was an ok experience, the store was clean and the products I bought were good and they had good customer service. I think they could make there promotion better, stock their shelves, and make their store more decorative. read more

This seems to be the running curse of Wa-l Mart these days. Big holes on the shelves and months not weeks MONTHS! of product not being in the stores. The only thing I can conclude is that wal-mart is having money difficulties and can not order product. I shop at Aldi now. read more

What a joke! Just leaving this place and I'm seriously dumbfounded. I'm not even from this area, came in town for my fathers 50th birthday.. Mind you I'm almost 30. We came to buy more supplies for his party. HE'S the one paying for our groceries etc- but he can't purchase his beer because I'm with him, without my I.D? He has his? What a bullshit policy. My parents shop here often, but that will change. He shouldn't have to inconvenience himself because I DIDNT bring my purse. One more reason to add to my list, of why not to shop at Walmart! read more
