I greeted the workers like I always do, but the energy was off immediately. It seemed like there was a new employee working, which normally wouldn't be an issue, but the attitude I received was completely unexpected. When I got to the register, things got even worse. I usually come in with my sister and we do two separate transactions to get cash back. It's convenient for me because I'm a full-time student working 12-hour shifts, and my bank is a 20-minute drive away. Cashback saves me time and stress. As soon as I selected cash back, the cashier began huffing, puffing, and slamming things around. She looked visibly irritated. When I tried to do a second transaction, she told me no--which I completely understood. But then another employee chimed in loudly, saying, "This isn't a bank." That comment was unnecessary, rude, and honestly felt like a microaggression. Obviously I know this isn't a bank, and there was no reason to speak to me that way. I left feeling highly disrespected. I even came back in because I forgot one item, and the cashier slammed my purchase on the counter with the same attitude. I have never experienced anything like this at this store despite coming here regularly. The behavior was unprofessional, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. I truly hope management addresses this, because no other customer should ever be treated like that.

On this trip, we were trying to pick up an evening meal for the team, and the hot cases were only about half full with almost two more hours until they'd be closed for the night. I didn't waste any time getting to the store and darned if I didn't find it, just waiting for me. I found the store clean, well laid out, easy to navigate and it's employees pleasant and helpful. Sprouts carries healthier food than more mainstream grocery stores and you'll find brands not seen elsewhere. Like Tillamook. Besides that, I was happily surprised that they take Apple Pay! Based on this visit I recommend Sprouts for those health-conscious individuals or those who just happen to be in the mood for a couple scoops of world class ice cream.
