Even when the store is busy, I've never had trouble finding an employee to help me with my questions. In fact, I find that the employees can read my mind and approach me before I think to ask if I need help. I must also note that the employee who helped me merge my Walgreens Rewards accounts (I accidentally had 2 of them) was incredibly helpful and most of all, patient! Thank you to said employee! Great help. I found out I had a $5 off coupon to use on my purchase that day! I'm super happy with my experiences at this Walgreens. No complaints, only good vibes and smiles. Once they got to closing time they simply picked the phone up and hung it up on me after sitting there for nearly an hour. So incredibly unprofessional and just flat out rude. 800 number doesn't deal with the type of prescription we need filled for my child so I have to hold whenever they give us the runaround and make it impossible to fill his prescription that he has to have to function in school. I am going to research new pharmacies after tonight because I am tired of the incredibly inconsiderate treatment to their patients. I am a nurse and I wouldn't dare hang up on a patient nor speak to them in the manner these folks do. Patients holding for so long when they can't speak to the 800 number is also just inexcusable. Covid is over, your staffing shortages have been reduced, find a new reason to be so awful!

So, you ask yourself, why the heck would she say that and give them five stars?? Well, while it is a huge issue for me that I cannot fill prescriptions there with the coverage of my insurance, I ended up there the other night because CVS has decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this portion of Iowa does not need the ability to fill a prescription at 10 p.m. at night. My son, who was in the ER until his release at 10 p.m., would likely disagree. He really needed pain meds, and I had very few options to fill the script. I ended up at Walgreens, resolving that his physical health and well-being was more important than the cost-savings of waiting until morning to fill the prescription. They quoted me the price, and I told them I would deal... it wasn't enormous, and it was better than making him suffer until morning. The pharmacist was very nice. I couldn't fault her for the lame fact that they do not take military insurance. I waited, and they filled the script. When I went to pay, she told me she had found a discount (I honestly have no idea if this was a coupon lying around or the fact that I happened to have a shoppers' card, but either way...). I saved about half on the script and my son slept better that night with the pain meds I was able to get for him. If Walgreens starts taking my insurance again, I will likely not bother with CVS anymore. I much prefer being able to fill and emergency prescription and having a nice pharmacist available to talk to, even in the wee hours of the night. 24 hour pharmacy... what a novel concept!!

I've found them all to be extremely knowledgeable & customer focused. If there's a question they're unsure about, they take the time to get an accurate answer. There have been a few times I arrived just at closing time, & they took the time to get my script filled & don't act irritated or mad. Always very professional!!! I switched to Walmart from over 20 years w Walgreens & the difference is night & day! Highly recommend!

Seriously, Costco has a way better parking lot. As far as prices, well some things are cheaper, others are not. Sams did step up and remodel, just before Costco got here. I like their butcher section, where you can get what you want in the quantity you want. And sushi... they have sushi and Costco does not. I still favor Costco for its management process (I'd much rather support Costco than Wal-mart aka Sams ANYTIME)... but I actually am of the mindset to keep BOTH memberships at this time. Both have their own merit, and I like both at this time. That said, I have definitely found items at Costco that are WAAAAY cheaper than Sam's and sometimes those in reverse too. They were able to to secure authorization to ore- package my meds into pillow pack strips that have each days meds together by the time of day to take them. Makes my life MUCH easier! Yay!! I…read moreswitched all my medicine to North Scott pharmacy thinking how great it would b to have all my prescriptions local and all in 1 place. nothing could be further from the truth. norh Scott pharmacy refused to fill my medication. when the doctor called they told the doctor they needed full study proof the medicine works. the pharmacist said it was in my best interest. however if they were truly concerned with my best interest they should have known one can not go cold turkey. the medicine has to be weaned off. this pharmacy maybe great for colds but not for anyone who has a true medical problem. if u have an autoimmune such as Wagner's with heart lung and kidney damage u need to stay away from North Scott Pharmacy and find a reputable pharmicist who does not mind treating extreme autoimmune diseases.
