i am now in the habit of visiting the clearance section in the back of the store. Warning, don't bother on a saturday! you will find something you like, then have to wait behind 45 other shoppers because they won't do price overrides in the self checkout line. not worth it to save $2. read more

I'm not a member at Costco, but I did need to visit it recently to complete an Instacart order. This was my first time doing it at Costco, so I was a little nervous about finding my way around and completing the order. I was so surprised by how pleasant and helpful the employees were whenever I needed help finding something. I also experienced probably the best customer service I've ever received in a long, long time. I had the worst time trying to get the app to get to the payment screen because phone service inside the building is so terrible. The cashier was so patient with me and recommended going outside to try to get a signal. The employees at the door were also really understanding when I asked them about running out and right back in. I wish I had the names of these employees so I could recognize them in this review, but unfortunately I do not. I hope they see this, however, and know that their patience and kindness really made my anxiety much less than it could have been! Thank you so, so much. I'm not sure at this point if I will become a Costco member in the future, but the kindness of these employees definitely makes me want to consider it! read more

This is the cleanest, most organized Costco I've ever been to. I'm guessing Davenport, IA doesn't produce the same type of foot traffic that I'm used to, but I've never noticed a Costco which was so well put together, not chaotic and I didn't have to wait too long in the check-out lines or in the gas station lines. At least from my couple times there, I'm not used to that from a Costco. read more

I really enjoy Costco, I'm glad they came to the QC. I much prefer it over Sam's Club. We originally got a membership for the diapers and baby wipes. Store brand products are great, I can't recommend Kirkland enough. From their socks to their paper products, I think anyone with ample storage at home or a big family can really take advantage of this place. We also almost exclusively get our gas here, as it's always cheaper. read more

I've been a Costco enthusiast for years and years and was thrilled when a Quad City location was announced. Overall, I've been very happy with my experiences at the Davenport store. However, this location IS noticeably smaller than others I've visited, which would be okay (it's still an enormous place, after all), except that I'm missing several staples that are always in stock at other Costcos. Here's my list: Dove shampoo and conditioner, Kirkland spinach and mozzarella ravioli, and Kirkland basil pesto tilapia (to be fair, no Midwest locations seem to carry this product). It's a little irritating, and makes me wonder what else we're missing or not getting that shoppers in other cities have access to. Still, I'm psyched about being a short car ride away from reasonably priced, high quality dog food and rotisserie chicken! read more

The Davenport Costco is one of the cleanest grocery stores I have ever been to. The service is incredible especially at the check out lines, where all my items are taken out of my cart to be scanned, then loaded back into my cart as well. Some of the nicest people work there and just make it a peaceful place to shop. read more

I have been a member of costco for two years now and my family has been members for over a decade. This week I went in to purchase glasses from the optical center however, I needed my perscription updated. To save time I decided to get my perscription updated with you guys. I called to make an appointment and the lady on the phone did not understand or speak english and failed to put my medical information in properly for my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment all of my information was wrong. The technician proceeded to take some pictures of my eyes and do their normal procedure however, she did not once wipe down anything she used before or after I had to put my face on it. What suprised me the most was that there is no doctor on sight, the technician pretty much facetimed a random doctor off the tv and they did my eye exam through the tv. I did not know who the doctor was, if they were even a doctor. They had a bluetooth speaker hooked up to the tv to have me speak to the doctor on the tv. Everything about the appointment was very unprofessional and shocking. read more
