Good selection of supplements but the rest of the grocery is just okay. The employees seem miserable.

Aldi's is an amazing underrated store where you can find anything but preservative free chicken…read morebreasts, seasonal foods & other items for decorating, etc. You truly never know what you will find each trip to Aldi's. My latest super finds were a compact (6"x 8") sewing kit in an awesome plastic dual opening container. For 4.99! You get 20 mini (but good sized) spools of different colored threads, a tape measure, a scissors, an assortment of sewing needles in a separate holder, a needle threader, a cute little tomato pin cushion, an assortment of stick pins w multi colored ends, container of safety pins & a few buttons, & even a thimble!!! All this comes in a perfectly designed plastic box w 2 openings -1 for the spools of thread, w neat compartments to keep them organized & easy to see, & another for all the tools & other items. Not only that, but things like the needles, stick pins, safety pins & buttons, even the threader (which I didn't know even existed but I am sure glad it does w my almost 60 yr old vision);are all in their own little containers so everything stays in one place & doesn't get lost or messy. The plastic case is clear so you can see everything & it's not cheaply made-the openings & closures are durable & easy to use. I looked all over for some sewing needles, but I still was having difficulty getting them threaded. I was just browsing the 'middle aisle' I call the surprise aisle bc you literally never know what you might find!! I wasn't looking for or expecting to find a well stocked compact sewing kit, great for travel, keeping in your desk at work, or even tossing it in your purse just in case. It's also a great gift for college kids, bachelors, teens, women of any age, coworkers, white elephant gift exchanges, & more. I also picked up a nice set of 4 kitchen towels for my adult son & some matching dishcloths w a scrubber side in neutral colors & generous sized-$2.99 for each. I had just spent hrs looking through another store that had a good selection of dish towels but no cloths, & I spent 9.99 for 4 smaller sized towels in a "discount" store! Lesson learned -check Aldi's first, for whatever you may be looking for. They even had a nice set of blackout, heavy weight, attractive grommet curtains in a good size for patio doors or windows in a neutral color for $13.99 for 2 panels! Gotta give Aldi's buyers props!!! The food selection rocks too, along w the prices. Just one thing to keep in mind -if you see something you want, get it when you can, bc it probably won't be there next time. But a whole new variety of things will replace it. Thanks Aldi!!!
