Once they got to closing time they simply picked the phone up and hung it up on me after sitting there for nearly an hour. So incredibly unprofessional and just flat out rude. 800 number doesn't deal with the type of prescription we need filled for my child so I have to hold whenever they give us the runaround and make it impossible to fill his prescription that he has to have to function in school. I am going to research new pharmacies after tonight because I am tired of the incredibly inconsiderate treatment to their patients. I am a nurse and I wouldn't dare hang up on a patient nor speak to them in the manner these folks do. Patients holding for so long when they can't speak to the 800 number is also just inexcusable. Covid is over, your staffing shortages have been reduced, find a new reason to be so awful!

So, you ask yourself, why the heck would she say that and give them five stars?? Well, while it is a huge issue for me that I cannot fill prescriptions there with the coverage of my insurance, I ended up there the other night because CVS has decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this portion of Iowa does not need the ability to fill a prescription at 10 p.m. at night. My son, who was in the ER until his release at 10 p.m., would likely disagree. He really needed pain meds, and I had very few options to fill the script. I ended up at Walgreens, resolving that his physical health and well-being was more important than the cost-savings of waiting until morning to fill the prescription. They quoted me the price, and I told them I would deal... it wasn't enormous, and it was better than making him suffer until morning. The pharmacist was very nice. I couldn't fault her for the lame fact that they do not take military insurance. I waited, and they filled the script. When I went to pay, she told me she had found a discount (I honestly have no idea if this was a coupon lying around or the fact that I happened to have a shoppers' card, but either way...). I saved about half on the script and my son slept better that night with the pain meds I was able to get for him. If Walgreens starts taking my insurance again, I will likely not bother with CVS anymore. I much prefer being able to fill and emergency prescription and having a nice pharmacist available to talk to, even in the wee hours of the night. 24 hour pharmacy... what a novel concept!!

Main at Locust was able to sync all of my scripts so refills are all the same day. They were able to to secure authorization to ore- package my meds into pillow pack strips that have each days meds together by the time of day to take them. Makes my life MUCH easier! Yay!! After 30 minutes waiting in line, and seeing just one customer waited on, I left the store, along with 2 other people who left in discuss. I just had a molar pulled and really needed the pain relief too. Horrific service and I'll NEVER use Walgreens again, especially when there's a CVS right across the street. On the way out, I saw some cashews on sale for $2.98, I went to buy them so it wasn't a complete wasted trip, but the cashier tried to charge me $7.58!! Apparently there's a secret club and I wasn't entitled to buy anything on sale because I'm not a member. I threw the cashews down and left . I only went to this Walgreen's because the one closer to me on 16th St in Moline doesn't have a pharmacy.. Imagine that, a drug store that doesn't sell drugs!

Reminded me of Covid or some severe snowstorm. Walmart should talk to the employees picking the delivery or pickup preparation. They park dead center in an aisle and give attitude when you ask to get by. Like "excuse me" triggered them. Then there is a random spot check of your receipt on your way out. We queued up to have the gal look at our receipt but the guy behind us was too impatient and just rode on by her. I asked her "doesn't everyone get checked? Or is it optional?" She said it really shouldn't be optional but that's how some folks are.

I once had to wait an hour for a scheduled grocery pick-up. I finally called their 800 customer service number and canceled the order from the parking lot. I left without any groceries after waiting an hour! On another occasion, a millennial chick casually followed my girlfriend and I around the store. Every aisle we went to, suddenly there she was. I wasn't sure if she wanted to get freaky with a Gen X couple or steal my girlfriend's Coach purse. It finally occurred to me that she was loss prevention. So in a not so subtle, overt manner, I pointed out that she was following us. Needless to say, she immediately disappeared. Good riddance! If you happen to visit the "Customer Service" department at this location, you're in for quite the experience. Most likely you will encounter an older, heavy set lady with graying hair and glasses named, "Carol". Carol is the living embodiment of the core values that I mentioned earlier. Despite the signage clearly stating that they "will happily Exchange or Refund merchandise", they will refuse to do an exchange! Carol threatened to call security because I took a photo of the signage! I purchased three pairs of Jeans on Black Friday, but they didn't fit. When I visited the store, they refused to exchange them for another size. They were only willing to refund my money. This is by design. By refusing exchanges and performing refunds instead, if the original purchase price was lower than the current price, you will lose your savings and Walmart will pocket the difference! A subtle, sneaky, and nefarious business practice. Buyer beware!

They are wonderful at getting the order ready fast and curbside pickup is a breeze; so appreciated with the current Covid spike. I always mention to my family that there is a night and day difference between picking up and Rx at this Walgreens vs our nearby CVS--I have never seen a CVS employee crack a smile! Walgreens must be doing something right cause their employees' demeanor are NOTICEABLY superior to that of CVS, for real. Anyway---Great store to have nearby and I am impressed with their staff! AA++
