The store is not well organized (beer is not by type, sorta random, mostly singles) but whatever they have some solid selections. Then I made a mistake and didn't look on the bottoms of the cans. There were IPAs that had remove from shelf dates in summer 2024 dates on them when I unloaded. What the heck are they doing still selling that? I cannot recommend this place as a result. So, you ask yourself, why the heck would she say that and give them five stars?? Well, while it is a huge issue for me that I cannot fill prescriptions there with the coverage of my insurance, I ended up there the other night because CVS has decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this portion of Iowa does not need the ability to fill a prescription at 10 p.m. at night. My son, who was in the ER until his release at 10 p.m., would likely disagree. He really needed pain meds, and I had very few options to fill the script. I ended up at Walgreens, resolving that his physical health and well-being was more important than the cost-savings of waiting until morning to fill the prescription. They quoted me the price, and I told them I would deal... it wasn't enormous, and it was better than making him suffer until morning. The pharmacist was very nice. I couldn't fault her for the lame fact that they do not take military insurance. I waited, and they filled the script. When I went to pay, she told me she had found a discount (I honestly have no idea if this was a coupon lying around or the fact that I happened to have a shoppers' card, but either way...). I saved about half on the script and my son slept better that night with the pain meds I was able to get for him. If Walgreens starts taking my insurance again, I will likely not bother with CVS anymore. I much prefer being able to fill and emergency prescription and having a nice pharmacist available to talk to, even in the wee hours of the night. 24 hour pharmacy... what a novel concept!!

Wide variety of liquor, wine, beer, and spirits. Typical stock of convenience store items (snacks, candy, soda, canned goods, milk, etc.). Prices are in line with other similar stores in the area. The thing that set this one apart from the others was the friendliness of the clerk.

Worked there for almost 9 years. It was good in the beginning until they got a new VP and HR. Company went downhill. Very high turnover rate. No care for employees health and safety. Even today when I stop in, an employee is working with a high fever and they refuse to send her home. Managers work months on end with no day off because it saves them money. Managers are salary. They wait as long as possible before hiring an assistant to help with store operations. I can't believe they're still open for business. No one is happy working there. It's quite sad.
