I only go to CVS and this location was by far the rudest and most unorganized. I was told my insurance didn't cover my medication, it does. She said she called the insurance company. I waited and she told me they didn't accept it. I ended up calling myself and I was told there was no attempt on their end to call. They were rude and the main pharmacist, blonde and snotty, defended her and was verrryyy condescending. If they weren't so unorganized, they'd probably be much nicer. Same issue once before, they didn't want to update the insurance card because that takes time. I ended up having to go in (after being in the drive thru) because they wouldn't take the time to enter the correct info. I will not go back to the pharmacy, only to the store and that's thanks to Jennifer.

Once they got to closing time they simply picked the phone up and hung it up on me after sitting there for nearly an hour. So incredibly unprofessional and just flat out rude. 800 number doesn't deal with the type of prescription we need filled for my child so I have to hold whenever they give us the runaround and make it impossible to fill his prescription that he has to have to function in school. I am going to research new pharmacies after tonight because I am tired of the incredibly inconsiderate treatment to their patients. So, you ask yourself, why the heck would she say that and give them five stars?? Well, while it is a huge issue for me that I cannot fill prescriptions there with the coverage of my insurance, I ended up there the other night because CVS has decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this portion of Iowa does not need the ability to fill a prescription at 10 p.m. at night. My son, who was in the ER until his release at 10 p.m., would likely disagree. He really needed pain meds, and I had very few options to fill the script. I ended up at Walgreens, resolving that his physical health and well-being was more important than the cost-savings of waiting until morning to fill the prescription. They quoted me the price, and I told them I would deal... it wasn't enormous, and it was better than making him suffer until morning. The pharmacist was very nice. I couldn't fault her for the lame fact that they do not take military insurance. I waited, and they filled the script. When I went to pay, she told me she had found a discount (I honestly have no idea if this was a coupon lying around or the fact that I happened to have a shoppers' card, but either way...). I saved about half on the script and my son slept better that night with the pain meds I was able to get for him. If Walgreens starts taking my insurance again, I will likely not bother with CVS anymore. I much prefer being able to fill and emergency prescription and having a nice pharmacist available to talk to, even in the wee hours of the night. 24 hour pharmacy... what a novel concept!!

Main at Locust was able to sync all of my scripts so refills are all the same day. They were able to to secure authorization to ore- package my meds into pillow pack strips that have each days meds together by the time of day to take them. Makes my life MUCH easier! Yay!! Huger thank you to all of the staff that worked with me today to get scripts transferred, synced, and definitely simplified my life!

HIPPAA violations abound as they laugh and talk in front of all CVS customers re: their private medical conditions and prescriptions. "Kaitlyn" was overheard along with the purple hair pharm tech they call "KAT" laughing with their new tech (a blonde) about the medical condition of two elderly veterans. They will claim these are lies by dissatisfied cus and that they love vets and how all CVS customers are important but they only care about volume! Don't ask too many questions as it creates irritability and confusion and conflicts with the pharmacy culture of speed and subpar quality interactions with the patrons who contribute to the biweekly paychecks each of the employees at all CVS locations receives. Walmart and Walgreens are certainly alternatives to the Shooting Park, Peru, IL CVS store. How sad that their employees are also members of the same community. Is this how central Illinois treats families and elderly people?
