Think what you will of Wal-Mart and their other policies, they usually deliver the goods on general items I need. Produce, however, is off that list. When K and I went there tonight to pick up two items we needed, she suggested we buy some spinach leaves to make a salad.We got to the produce section and I noticed that their organic line of salad-ready spinach leaves didn't look right. They were shriveled, and when I turned the container over, I saw two things: *Yellow goo from rotted spinach * An expiration date of 09-17-09, 23 days ago. We were both revolted. I had a manager paged over to us and he had the courtesy to look disgusted at what I showed him. He went through them, and all five were in the same condition. This means that the produce manager and workers either (a) put out terribly-spoiled goods or (b) had let them sit for three weeks. First off, I am NOT a Walmart fan. I only went last night because Target did not have what I needed. I picked up two items and was ready to check out in five minutes. 15 mintues to check out!!!! And that was in the express lanes. There were a total of six check out lanes open and every single one was packed. I honestly felt sorry for the cashiers. Managers were walking around looking at the frustrated faces but nothing was done to speed the process up. As long as people keep packing into this Walmart and are settled with waiting in line FOREVER then why should they change? Horrible pharmacy - 3 times ordered medicine and it's never been on time. We ordered on Sunday today is Thursday. The assistant assured me it would be ready on Tuesday so we made a trip here for only 3 pills. She said come back on Wednesday we called and they said sorry tomorrow - yippie it's Thursday and they are closed from 1:30-2. So I waited for them to reopen and it's not ready!!! Went there for the Black Friday Iphone gift card promotion that started at 6:00pm. We got there about 3:30 and there was about 10 people in front of us. We asked numerous employees there to see if the iphone we wanted was available but they would not give us any information. They just went around asking what phone we were here for. So after waiting almost 3 hours, they tell us the only iphones available were the iphone 8 (not the plus) and the Iphone X. What a total waste of time. The first impression when I stepped in this place (cue heavenly oohs and ahhs) was whoa. Of course I've been to Wal-Mart Super Centers and all, but this location is HUGE! After visiting this store, you will not have to do cardio later at the gym. I defiantly have to add browsing the isles of this Super Center as my new past time! I find going down the huge isles very comforting, as it is easy to get lost from all the nook and crannies this store offers. Groceries, electronics, health and beauty products, house hold stuff, clothes (not sure If I would buy my clothes here though) are all here. I have been somewhat disappointed, however, with the understocked shelves. Most of my favorite products/ brands I usually buy I have to pick up them up at Target. My most favorite part of this store? Electronics by far! I love being able to preview the c.d.'s before I buy them. Watch out at the cellphone station though, there is a Verizon Wireless, TMobile, and AT&T booth here, and the representatives will hunt you down if they smell fresh meat! The parking in front of the store sucks though you'll be lucky if you can find a spot. I always end up parking in the BFE and continue my cardio. But overall, say what you want about Wal-Mart being either good or bad for society, this place is awesome. read more

This Walmart is the closest to my home but I normally go out my way to avoid going here. Cons: No self check out. Never have all their lines open during prime shopping times (after work, weekends). But even out side of peek times, you will run across seriously long lines and slow cashiers. Parking lot is strange. Store is smaller than most walmarts. Walmart is usually a hot mess, and this Walmart is one of the worst of the worst. Packed with zombies. The employees are useless. The parking lot is a nightmare. Always out of hand wipes, paper towels, and soap. The bathrooms are literally smeared with crap, do NOT touch anything. Children misbehaving all throughout the store. Dirty, unorganized, broken sh*t everywhere. Elevators and escalators always out of order. 90% of the shopping carts are broken. 50% of the self checkout scanners don't work...should I keep going? I'm pretty sure peopleofwalmart.com is mostly based on this exact store. The ONLY reason I even show myself here from time to time is because of it's proximity to my home, and the occasional busting of prices with a low price guarantee. Never do curbside pickup at this location. I ordered the night before because I understand why there might be a same day delay. I get that, so I try not to do that. I chose to pick up between 5-6pm. Around 5, I get an email saying there will be a delay up to 2 hours. Cool. It's Friday. I'm not worried. About an hour later I get a notification saying my order is ready to I head to the store. I park and it's 7 pm. It's packed because parking sucks and they only have 6 pickup parking spots but allow all these people to pick up during the Same time. The two guys who are bringing out the orders are 1. Moving really slow and 2. Bringing out orders for people who aren't even out here. So shit is moving extremely slow because the people who are here and getting their stuff. I have to pee. So I go in and do that. Come back and still, my stuff isn't ready. AN HOUR goes by and still nothing. So I request my money back because I'm ready to go home. I could've shopped for my own stuff twice over with the amount of time I spent waiting. The app won't let me cancel so I reschedule for the next morning at 9-10 am. I arrive and get my stuff about thirty minutes later. It's raining and the guy rushes to put my stuff in the trunk and runs off without saying anything and leaves my trunk open. I get home to find out that all my stuff was left sitting out all night. My milk, spoiled. My ice cream is liquid. My eggs are room temperature. My frozen pizza is super soft. And my lettuce is wilting. And he wasn't going to say anything. They let me take that spoiled food home. I had to wait twice for this shit. And hour and 30 minutes for me to have to go find a new walk mart to get my shit replaced. This Walmart seems to not having any efficient management. When I went in to pee, there was like 6 employees just standing around talking near the entrance like there was nothing to do while the pickup people were struggling to even get orders out. This Walmart really should just not offer curbside if they can't fulfill orders properly. read more

I went here last weekend as part of a "closet hanger overhaul" project. Really, I just went in here to buy new hangers to replace my "Where did all of these come from and why am I letting them indent all of my shirts?" wire hangers. So, 50 new hangers at 12 cents apiece means that I should have spent ~$6. But no... $80 later, I walked out with a muffin pan, shower curtain, whitestrips, granola bars, and more. Needless to say, Walmart has great prices and if you can deal with the crowds, then it's worth it. This particular store is clean and well-stocked. I will never understand why less than 50% of the check-out lanes are open at any given time. As I texted my mom on Saturday, I think that God created Walmart to help impatient people become more patient. Helpful associates, lots of shoppers, and great prices sums up my (annual) trip to Walmart. read more

Let's face it. All Wal Marts suck, but some worse than others. This isn't even the worst one I have been in in the Metro area, but there are a few annoying things... 1) I usually park downstairs because there is hardly any parking upstairs. The elevators are usually broken which is kind of a pain with a kid because she's too young to really ride the escalator alone, but a little more than I want to hold going up and getting off balance (yes, I'm paranoid about falling or whatever). 2) It always has crap everywhere that needs to be put up (this is kind of standard for Wal Mart though which is why I normally go to Target. 3) The staff is full of abrasive, unhelpful people who act like you are ruining their day by asking them a question. I think part of the problem with this location and it's employees is that the population that I normally see here tends to be hispanic and it seems that the people who work here don't like that or something. I mean, I get treated like crap here, but they REALLY get treated like crap. Of course the people who shop here aren't that great either. Some hispanic dude was saying shit about me and I turned around and well..let's just say, I grew up in South Texas and I know Spanish and I know how to tell you in no uncertain terms to go eff yourself. If you shop here, you should know a few basic spanish words to tell the little bastards who shop here off. Talk about surprised when I told him to go eff himself and a few other choice things (all in spsnish). I was torn between a 2 or a 3 on Wal Mart of Chamblee. While all Wal Mart"s seem to be the same in terms of product, not much difference with this particular location. The lower parking is not that hard to find, you can drive through the upper deck, exit to the left of the store and take the ramp down. Or enter from Clairmont, either way, they have escalators that take you directly up to the store level entrances. My challenge with Wal Mart, besides the long lines, buying stamps behind 3 International Money Orders can take forever, but is the service on in stock availability. I found an item online that they noted to call the store and give a specific number. I called and was placed on hold, and after 5 minute the operator returned and said no one could help. I asked for a manager, and without putting me on hold told her work colleague about me on Line 4 and if she should put me through to a manager. I was told no managers were working and that I could wait. Of course, I get to Wal Mart, the item is not in stock and time wasted. This is why I trust Target more, where they always seem to be willing to help me. Wal Mart is great for household items, but Target is where I buy everything else. read more

Typical WM, but this one was awkwardly laid out, unlike any other store I've been in before. We were having to actually look around for things that weren't in their normal places. Light bulbs in the very back by sporting goods, 5 aisles away from electrical/lighting... Who dreamed this layout was functional? This Walmart has everything that you'd need. The only bad thing is the SUPER LONG lines that ever seem to end. Everything is intuitively laid out. The parking is convenient but probably difficult to navigate the first time you're there. There is extra parking downstairs with an escalator that goes upstairs. read more

When I get there, the inept employees can't find it. Then when I show them where it should be but is not, they check the back and tell me it's back there but they won't sell it to me because they need to do inventory on the pallet first. Apparently, the term "The customer is always right doesn't apply to this store. One week ago, I was shopping in the household cleaners aisle and came across the cleaner I always use, only to notice that the one bottle size I normally use was not in the area where it normally sits and instead was replaced by a large volume of the double bottle size instead with the identical price tage as the smaller bottle, so I assumed that because there was no other price tag visible, that I could get the double bottle for the price of one bottle. The difference in the price was about $3 or less. However, when I sought out someone in "management", a guy named D.J., with a "Coach" title on his name badge, he refused to allow me to purchase it for the price on the shelf, which was originally about $2.79. He told me he would take off $.43 cents. I have always be told while working in retail that if a situation such as this occurs, the store has to sell you that item for that price. In being utterly appalled, I attempted to contact the higher level management three times before the information was forwarded to the store manager who eventually returned my call and said the best thing he could do was to make sure that it didn't happen again by instructing the store associates in being careful with correct stocking and pricing. Ain't this a blip! It would've only been a $3 difference in making things right with the customer, but I guess they really don't care anymore. I am not giving up! Very poor experience. 20 minutes in store. Shelves poorly stocked. Pallets of merchandise all over the aisles. Not a soul on the floor to help. Difficulty finding item. Waited in line for a cashier to ask the location of the item. Website clearly says item was in stock. I was told item was not in stock and that I would have to talk to a manager. Manager was condescending. I asked twice where the item was. First time she ignored my question. Second time she asked if I would like help finding the item. Due to many years of neighborhood resistance, there are a lot of limitations imparted by zoning restrictions on this Walmart. Smaller location, so doesn't have the inventory of other locations. So thanks neighbors.. you didn't stop Walmart, you just made it crapper than most other locations. No auto shop (tires/batteries/etc) dept, which is a shame. There is ample room in the underground parking to put a tire and battery shop in there. Park downstairs, and shop outside of rush hour (during the day is best) and you will be fine. It is surprisingly busy even at 11pm; bear that in mind and it is fine. They could definitely use some self check out lines tho. read more

I only come here when I have to. And even then I sometimes regret it. They know that at any given time there can be hundreds of shoppers in the store. So why is there only 1, MAYBE 2 checkout lanes open when I'm ready to leave? Don't they generate enough profit to hire a few extra minimum wage clerks? To reiterate what everyone has said about customer service, the last time I went here it was painfully bad...literally. Somehow an alarm by the front doors went off, a loud ear piercing alarm that apparently only us customers heard. Took 10+ minutes for it to get shut off! And the parking here is dreadful. I dislike this WalMart so much, it makes me want to scream. The staff is so rude and the place feels dirty. I have been to many WalMarts but this one is a disgrace but, believe it or not, that's not what has pushed me over the edge to give it a one star. This store is very close to me. Like...I can see it if I popped out the window. Every time I go, there is a very long line. It's any given day. The reason for the long lines: closed lanes. I went there to buy flowers for my wife on her birthday. It's just a regular day of the week. I had flowers and a candy bar. The express lane was incredibly long, the "do it yourself" lanes wrapped around the store, and there were maybe 4 regular lanes opened. I would've understood if this happened once, but it didn't. Run far away. This store rarely has items in stock, and their racially profiling practices are extremely disturbing. I have been testing this every time I go to the store to see if it was a one-time or rare occurrence, but every single I go, after checking out and rolling my cart out the exit, the employee who checks receipts/carts racially profiles which customers to yell after for "needing" to check their receipt and then going through each individual grocery bag to verify items. She will racially profile and subject Hispanic and Asian customers to this while letting white and Black customers pass by. May I remind the management of Walmart that showing a receipt is completely voluntary and customers are legally not obligated to show receipts after purchase? Management should also know that after purchase, it is illegal to detain customers and seize/search their belongings without probable cause, meaning that the receipt checker needs to have visually witnessed a customer shoplifting. Go ahead and call management, call the police, and threaten to ban customers. That's all the management can do. If the store is going to be checking receipts, check EVERYONE's receipt or check no one's at all. Do not demand to check receipts based on someone's ethnicity because that is racial profiling. This is a badly run Walmart. They do have a produce section, bakery, and traditional other goods. Definitely not a prized Walmart by any means but the prices are lower than almost anywhere else. Do not expect amazing customer service at the customer service desk or if you need help finding something - I have waited both 20 minutes for help on the floor and also at the customer service desk. They have implemented new security personnel at the exits to look for your receipts (a sign that lots of stealing happens at this location). Again, not a great walmart location. read more
