We visited the Walmart store on 1619 Del Prado Blvd last night. ​I recently visited this location around 8:00 PM, and the overall state of the store was incredibly disappointing. It is clear there is a severe lack of leadership and management oversight here. ​We walked throughout the entire store and noticed how incredibly messy parts of it are, especially down the aisles. The toy department, in particular, was in complete disarray. It wasn't just cluttered; there was a shocking amount of opened and stolen merchandise, including: ​Numerous ripped-open packages with the contents completely missing. ​Empty boxes and packaging hidden intentionally behind fully stocked items on the shelves. ​Discarded trash and scattered toys making the aisles difficult to navigate. ​What made the experience worse was the complete lack of customer service. There were virtually no employees present on the floor to help customers. The few staff members we did encounter were gathered in two or three separate pods, speaking in Spanish amongst themselves and completely absorbed in their mobile phones. Even when we got to the self-checkout lanes, the employees stationed there were entirely focused on their personal phones rather than assisting shoppers or monitoring the area. ​This isn't just a stocking issue--it is a major loss-prevention failure and a total breakdown of basic store standards. It is incredibly frustrating to shop at a location that feels entirely abandoned by its leadership. I hope local management steps up to address the lack of supervision, secure their inventory, and ensure their staff is actually engaged and available to help paying customers. read more

Why I'm the hell for you give option to email your self a receipt when you are stopping everyone of color at the door and your Wi-Fi sucks so you hold up the line waiting for a receipt that the cashiers that stand around and just watch while you do their job and scan packages!!!! The ABSOLUTE WORST store to ever exist! Don't bother ordering anything online to have it delivered. They don't hire drivers that understand English so you might order a mattress and the email showing delivery is a bouquet of flowers AND it's not even your address in the photo OR what you ordered! They absolutely WILL NOT refund your money, no matter how many times they see actual proof that your item wasn't delivered. They're f'ing HORRIBLE! The employees here go above and beyond. Most are fully bilingual and if they don't understand a word they go out of their way to help the customer. I was appalled to see a Karen (YT angry thuggish lady) berating a group of female Latina employees. She was making fun of them loudly and trying to humiliate them accusing them of not speaking English. I felt compelled to jump in, asked the lady why she doesn't make an effort to speak Spanish if it's such a huge problem for her living here in Florida. Folks, Spanish was the first language spoken in Florida. If you can't assmiliate to the land and its historical legacy, plus the fact we live among large Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican, and other South American communities, then perhaps Alabama would be more suitable for you. read more

I tired calling this location for 4 hours and no one answered. I called every department multiple times that were listed on the phone tree to talk to a manager, but no one answered. I get if someone was on a break, but no phone in the whole store for 4 hours is ridiculous. read more

Called auto Dept., operator, and human resources, let ring 20 times each Department with no answer. Under staffed , and hard to find anyone to help you. Garden center closed several times I have been there. Some other times gate to outside locked so if you have a large heavy order you must go through the entire store with no help to check out. Very large Walmart Supercenter. A-OK today because it seemed like several sections had out-of-stock empty shelves including some in grocery and some in shoes. As well, the men's room needed some attention. Prices are clearly marked and they're the usual Walmart low. The customer service department is supposed to open at 7am. That NEVER happens. Every time I try to get a manager to have them open it (which is usually around 7:05) they can't find one. Apparently nobody is running this store. The people working in customer service know that they are late because they keep peeking out the door. Regarding this location's grocery pick-up service, I have to say congratulations are in order. This is a very good service. There were some kinks with getting the order in and getting a pick-up time frame, but when it came down to getting our products, it was great. We were prompted to let them know we were on the way. The moment we arrived, before we even parked the car, all our groceries were being brought out on a cart. The worker confirmed who we were, we opened the lift gate in our SUV and the worker loaded the groceries. We would have been in and out in under 90 seconds, however the worker noticed the bread had been crushed, and without us prompting him, he took initiative, went back into the store and got us a replacement. Then we drove away. We were very pleased with how this worked. The store appeared to be busy, but we never really had to get out of our vehicle (except for taking a photo). And we got more than 70 items. All fruit and vegetables were of excellent quality too. Nothing was missing. Advice: Don't wait till your fridge is empty to order your food. Demand is strong for this service, and it could take a few days to get a pick-up time. *According to Walmart's website, their grocery pick-up workers are not permitted to accept tips. read more

This is the worst Walmart I've ever been to, and I have slim to no expectations when it comes to Walmarts as a whole.. They began to "renovate" this store maybe 6 months ago and present day it is an actual DISASTER. No one knows where they are or where they're going in here. They quite literally run into you while walking (both employees and shoppers) and basically everything is all over the place. The isles are WAY too close together - you can not go down an isle most of the time if there's even one other person with a cart. The layout makes zero sense. The checkout process: I'm a millennial so I love self checkout, but just know you will literally HAVE to ring up your entire cart even if you have 100 items lol. read more

The Walmart Supercenter in Cape Coral has gotten really bad. 1.) Consistent fraud being committed where price is listed and then is higher at check out. Is this intentional or accidental. It happens a lot. 2.) Poor stocking practices. Ongoing with wrong prices charges against listed many times things are stocked in the wrong places. This adds to the issues. 3.) The customer service is poor. When these mistakes happen quite often the associates push back against the customer. I've even had them argue with me. I was there today and I never get asked for my receipt and then as I was leaving I literally had a receipt in my hand that was very long because I had ample amount of stuff and the lady still wanted to check my receipt. I've never been asked before at this Walmart to show my receipt and as being a young black girl, this gives me terrible vibes about this store now. I've made shopping trips here that we're bigger then today and never had been asked. I didn't make a big deal out of it but it does make me mad that she asked that. I am a full time resident of Cape Coral, FL since July 2008. I have been a patron at the Walmart Super Center located at 1619 Del Prado Blvd S., Cape Coral, FL 33990 since that time. Over the last six (6) months to 1 year there has been a noticeable change in staffing personal out on the floor that must interact with customers irregardless of their "job description" as customers commonly ask for location of goods they are shopping for. When hiring personal that is unable to understand, verbalize, read and write in ENGLISH that presents a huge issue with your customer base. Over the last 6-12 months I have found on several occasions personal was unable to communicate with me whether at the cash register ( I refuse to use self serve check out because it's not my job and I'm not receiving any form of discount on my goods for doing it myself so I will stand in line) or on the floor when looking for a product I want to purchase. I was left holding the bag in looking for a product the store said was in stock. I am sick and tired of personal looking like a dear in the headlights. On one occasion your non-english speaking employee left me to go help a Spanish speaking person, I just left the merchandise I had in the cart and left the store. I made my purchase at your competitors here. The majority of your personal in my local store are unable to properly service your customers because they are totally unable to communicate in English, but I do notice they can count American dollars and cents right down to the penny. I refuse to learn Spanish as this is America and we speak English just to shop in your store. Even your pharmacy service was inferior as I always had to wait for re-stock of drugs other pharmacies carry, so my use of the pharmacy has stopped. Today was the last draw for me. Both my husband I came shopping together for groceries. All was good in the store and I knew better than to ask anyone where a particular product is. If can't find in at your store, I'll buy it in Publix or Winn Dixie. But the cash register was a whole another issue. We loaded our groceries on the conveyor belt while the cashier scanned them. I looked her directly in the face and said and I expressly said " I have two methods of payment, I want to split the total in half for each credit card. She looked at me like a deer int he headlights. I then asked if she understood and repeated the request, she responded "Okay". But what does she do? She runs the entire total on one credit card and says thank you in broken English. I tell her to void the transaction and she can't, won't or doesn't know how. Then she tells me in broken English that I never told her to split the transaction. What the hell! Even my husband who was standing right next her placing our bags in the cart, tell her he heard me tell her twice and the lady behind us in line heard me. She again said no I didn't. She then went to customer service and I was ready to leave the cart full of bag groceries right there and call my bank and claim fraudulent charge. But I didn't. We were taken to customer service where the transaction was credited and every thing in my cart had to be re-rung. There was a discrepancy from the credit of $237.07 to the ring receipt of $230.03. That customer service rep didn't realize the difference. I told her there was a difference that something was missed but there was no way in hell I was going to stay for third try at checking me out. What a damn nightmare. This is unacceptable situation. I find the hiring practice of Walmart to be offensive, disrespectful and highly prejudicial to American ENGLISH speaking customers. Why are you hiring people that speak a foreign language that can't communicate with AMERICANS and SPEAK ENGLISH! This is total crap in this store and as I understand it the store on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral is just as bad. As of today, I will no longer patronize your store until Walmart starts hiring AMERICANS! I can go to BJs, Farmer Joes and Sprouts, Publix, Winn Dixie where all communication are in English. I don't buy any clothing or electronics at your stores because it's all inferior stuff, and there are plenty of other houseware stores to frequent. I will not tolerate being called a liar to my pace by some sub standard employee of Walmart. You are supposed to be American Business and your should be catering to We The People, not illegals/immigrants who have no command of the English language! Walmart has changed their return policy on food. I recently bought great value frozen breakfast sausage. When I cooked one, it tasted like it had been thawed and refrozen. I took it back and was told that since I didn't have a receipt, I could only exchange it for the exact same item. Who keeps a receipt for food? I didn't want to do that because a few weeks prior, the freezers were empty and taped off. I felt that this food may have thawed and was put back into the freezers when they were turned back on. Just your typical Wal-Mart. I like Wal-Mart because I can usually find what I'm looking for. But, and it's a serious but... The lack of hygiene is just disgusting. The bathrooms are gross, the creative project section is grimy with a ton of glue and paint open and spilled everywhere. The parking lot is ridiculously confusing and extremely busy. The lines are way too long, like the employees don't care about anybody else's time. The McDonald's in this location is just, ew. Like, why don't they learn to wipe tables and seats down? & last but not least, food should not be out and ready to be sold if the expiration date has passed. The only two reasons why I am giving this location three stars is because I asked an employee to help me find something and she did. The clerk in vision center insisted that I wasn't allowed to order colored contacts with my script although it states colorblends, plural. She continued to argue until another lady corrected her. She still wanted to argue. I watched her make a copy of my updated script so I may just call the Walmart 800# to order in the future. After a week of not receiving my contacts I call the vision center and they wanted to argue with me on the phone about how the original doctor needs to fax updated script to Walmart 800 #. Last night me my mom and boyfriend went into Walmart to get a crib for my baby. We came in around 8pm and they close at 8:30pm so we had enough time to shop. We didn't have a lot of options when it came to cribs, we literally only had two options and different colors to choose from. We were unsure if the crib came with the mattress so I went to find an employee to help. I'm sure sure what his name was because smart me didn't ask; but he answered our question. Not only that but he went to the back to receive a cart to put the crib and mattress on so that we wouldn't struggle trying to put them in the cart. I do thank him for that, he did a lot for us without having to do a lot. He went out of his way even though he was just doing his job. We were trying to hurry up and get out of there before they close so the employees can leave as well. I have attempted to shop here 2x which was 2x too many. Every single time there was an issue. First time was an online order delivered from this store that was missing parts. Returned it for a replacement at the front desk but it was also missing parts. This current attempt, I am sitting at curbside pickup waiting on my order but it tells me it was already picked up? Walmart has good pricing. This store has a limited men's clothing section but a nice garden and food department. Unfortunately the lines can be outrageous depending on the time you go and the self checkouts are just frustrating. I much prefer a cashier over the automated checkout. read more

When we corrected him, he retorted rudely. He went out of his way to disrespect us and humiliate us, adding that we 'don't look our gender'. Honestly I would have gave less stars but the food is affordable this is why I continue to shop at Walmart. However, I use pick up or delivery almost 95% of the time because I have 2 kids. SOMETIMES it's an easy transaction. I really think in the app they should allow you to pick substitutions while the shopper is shopping, similar to Publix. Also the pick up is just ridiculous, I have waited there, in the past, 45 minutes. I understand things happen and staff shortage but it happens quite often, and doesn't seem to happen much if at all at Publix pick up. Like I said I continue to go because Walmart is affordable. Avoid this Walmart! Very poor auto service and customer service. Started having car problems after getting an oil change from there and found out I was 3 quarts short. Walmart is sometimes a necessary evil. This one is an older Walmart, with an older clientele. The parking is a mess to try and find a spot in. Usually long lines in the lot because people are trying to jokey for position at an up close spot or one of the many handicapped spots. Inside its your standard Walmart. Be mindful of the slow moving motorized carts. I think this location must have about 20 motorized carts. We stopped in to get some can sodas & fishing license. It wasn't too much of a production but the lady in the sporting good area didn't want to be there. I don't blame her though. A friend went into the bathrooms up front of the store and the bathroom stall door didn't even have a lock. He just had to hold the door shut while he did his business.
