For the most part, this is one of the better Walmart locations, but the one star is because of how they respond. We like their seafood selection and buy the salmon a lot. But recently we bought it, cooked it, and while eating it, I bit down on a large plastic washer of some kind (see image). After many emails to Walmart and to the packaging company, Beaver Street Fisheries in Jacksonville, basically what I got back from the fishery was "thanks for letting us know, glad you're okay" and what we got back from Walmart was "check with the store and ask for a refund". Seriously??? Someone could have choked on that and if it was a child, could have been really bad, and basically get a "thanks"?!?!?! electronic dept never has an attendant, I had to ask 2-3 employee's out on floor to send someone to dept so I could get a printer cartridge. This Walmart did a renovation and it is so nice now! I went to return something at customer service and barely waited more than 2-3 minutes. The lady at the counter was quick. The store has a huge selection of baby stuff including furniture, strollers, swings, high chairs, etc. I was impressed! It was nice to browse! The staff here seems friendly but I only interacted with one associate. The self checkout was fast. Nice new machines. Usually I try to avoid Walmart in stores because most are dirty and disorganized and the produce sucks but this Walmart is one of the nicer ones! The dressing rooms were locked. I pressed the call button numerous times and nobody came. The self checkout didn't work. I had to call for help 4x's, for four separate issues. The employees are totally checked out. The customer experience is horrible. read more

This place is crazy busy! Parking was pretty easy however, once you get inside, it's like you have arrived at the zoo, and all the animals are loose! This is probably because the prices here are very good. I managed to find everything I was looking for and more compared to what I would have spent at Publix. I probably saved $100. I will say the staff I saw were mostly associates stocking product. They are definitely not just standing around waiting for you to come up to them. However, I did speak to an associate that was coming out of the garden department to ask them where the bug spray was. She instantly without hesitation told me I 24. She was on it because the product was right where she said it would be. I was thoroughly impressed with how well this associate knew the store. Check out was pretty easy as well. I bet you I did not wait more than two minutes if that long for a cashier to start ringing me up. I found 3 different foods expired.... Only 2 cashiers going at 4:45pm you got 4 people standing at the service desk just looking at the lines. Lines are backed up into the clothes check out lines are long. I used to love this store when I first moved to Florida. I drove 35 mins to come here and passed 3 different Walmarts. Far more often than not, I see a review just absolutely shredding walmart. Typically you read about slow long lines, terrible service and shopping carts everywhere outside. The Lakewood Ranch Walmart is freaking awesome! I shop there at all hours and literally regardless of day or overnight shift, everyone is super nice. This is a big, but not huge, Walmart. Would be nice if they did tire and lube but there's a Goodyear mechanic place out front so that's likely why they don't. Clean. Clean. Clean. I see the guys mopping and driving the machine over the entire school during late shift. Honestly it's the nicest Walmart I've ever been in. Go save some money. This is the poorest stocked Walmart in this area. They never have basic items. Their customer service is unhelpful and apathetic. They are not interested in doing anything other than returns. Maybe that is what management wants. I can't shop here anymore. read more

This Walmart is always clean. I'm rating this Walmart on other Walmart's. Employees are nice, good sales, great hours. Good selection of everything from food to clothes, electronics, seasonal goods, etc Convenient. The only thing that could improve is more registers open with REAL employees / not the self serve registers. read more

I was treated like a second class citizen today 01/25/2024 in Walmart Bradenton Cortez rode. A young carcagin descent boy refuse to assist me after asking him several times for help with printing. but instead he elected to assisted at least three other white customers who came into the department after me. I finally ask another to help me after patiently waiting for him to finish however, he just walked out of my sight. I ask another employee who just happened to be walking by and she refered me to a near by vender of the store who she stayed was a manager. This particular vender/ manager simply elected to couple with the bad employee as they both became intensely rude, elected to smirked, smile and laught instead of assisting me. This vender then took out her personal cell phone to record me as I complained encouraging the bad behavior even further. I only ask for help to turning on the computers in the printing area which was listed be be turned on at 8:30 am and it was then 8:45 am. This boy employee even elected to continue to walked by me several times smerking and laughing all the way then eventually evacuated the area. I need not mention that this seam to be a race issue for reasons that not one of the white employees, vendor were appropriate in their actions. Eventually a black employee did step in to turn the computers on for me well after the listed hours of the particuy department of the store. I am a regular customer of five years and have spend thousands of dollars in this store since then. I have come to notice a pattern of every once in a while I come in contact with an employee that is extremely inappropriate and unfortunatedly appears to be extremely racest. read more

Do NOT come here if you're worried about CORONAVIRUS. 3/4 of employees had no masks and no gloves and when stocking didn't mind getting too close! Add to that only have the shoppers had masks and/or gloves on. Walmart should have made protection for employees 'mandatory' and not their individual choice as it obviously is now. I stopped by because my daughter was sick, and toys somehow have a magical restorative power. Even after Christmas, everything was well stocked and organized. The store was adequately staffed so lines were moving quickly, which you don't often see at Wally World. As a plant enthusiast, I had to mosey on over to the home and garden section. They take great care of their plants, even with the recent freeze. So a tip of the hat to those hard working employees. They also had a respectable gardening supply section with a wide selection of things you'd need. read more

This store is so inconsistent. 3 times this Week I bought storage bins. Some were see through some were not. I was never stopped on the way out by front door attendant. On the way leaving the store today I was stopped to check my receipt for the one see through $4,87 bin with all my bagged purchases inside. She didnt ask to see the beverage and pop corn chicken stuffed In my purse that I also purchased. So why bother to stop me. Also I purchased a laptop during tax-free weekend from walmart.com and was charged sales tax even though it met all the purchase requirements. The associate looked down the whole time working on paperwork as he told me I'll have to take it up with walmart.com they have nothing to do with them. Ok let me get this straight, you can give refunds on items purchased online but cant take the sales tax off? Then he proceeds to tell me, they had a system wide issue not taking sales tax off because the paper they received said it was only until the 4th. Which is incorrect. Florida tax free week ran until Tuesday August 6, 2019. I wish Walmart would go self help at customer service desk because they lack skills needed. I've never dealt with a store that doesnt help their customers with their online purchases. Now I know why I prefer Target. read more

Great store Raul the manager went over and above to make me a happy customer. The battery I purchased for the porsche went bad and it had a 5 year warranty. I have been having issues with the battery for sometime so I bought a new one from the shop repairing the car. I was told that because I did not have the receipt they would not even give me a store credit. I asked to speak to the manager and explained the situation and he gave me a store credit. I love this Walmart. Even though I have a Walmart right down the street from me(Cortez), I prefer this Walmart. Yesterday, I was there shopping and when checking out, I had the most pleasant cashier ever. He was so friendly and nice - his name was Joe and I would like to relate to Walmart what a great asset this individual is. My sisters and I were harassed by employees when we picked up the large mascot heads. They claimed they were infested with lice bugs and that we needed to go wash our faces. Why would they sell infested products? They then continued to gossip about us as we walked away. Bad move, Walmart. read more

Dont expect a delivery from walmart on Cortez and 51 in bradenton florida. Ridiculous. Placed the order the night before, charged my card the plus an automatic 10 buck tip for driver. Was set to be delivered between 10 am and 11 am. After 8 hours of waiting and 3 valls to customer service, I got my order canceled. Ridiculous, never once recieved any communication from the store. I have had my issues with walmart in the past, but this is the final straw. The employees are rude, the store is a mess, and when you ask a question no one ever has an answer. Total lack of professionalism across the board. Publix/ target for me from now on. I'll pay the extra money. read more

If you go in the evening and want to include beer/wine in your purchases, be prepared to have only one lane available for your use. There may be one or two other lanes open but those lanes have signs up saying, "No alcohol ...". Otherwise, it's a great store. I'll use Publix for my grocery purchases in the future. read more

Best Pharmacy EVER ...i get my prescriptions from lake ranch walmart store I trust them they are also professional very nice very polite in the pharmacy... very accurate on their timing for your meds I have never had a mess up at this store...unlike the others I have had a few problems and I have been to all of them in Manatee and Sarasota County...The staff at this pharmacy always goes above and beyond to help people and they are always hard working and very busy...I call them my family...they never seem to get enough credit for all they do and I want all of them to know they are truly a Blessing ...Lori Chambers read more

We went shopping Friday after Thanksgiving. Went to a cashier(Ty)in the garden center to ask if they still had the $89 grill. She walked out with us to try and find it. Non left but there was a larger one on sale for $99 as she pointed out. Assembly, no problem(and free of course). Will mark it to be done, she said. Got a call Saturday. Already assembled! Such a busy weekend for Walmart, I didnt think it would get done that fast! Went to pick it up today. My husband was away so I asked for help. David and David (yes 2 young men named David) helped. The grill was too wide to fit in my vehicle so they helped take one of the side tables off and lift it in. Everyone was so helpful and so pleasant, even during these busy days! I used to hate Walmart because decades ago they built stores right by our wonderful local stores so I boycotted them for many years. Eleven years ago we moved to New England and I didn't have a choice... I reluctantly shopped there but only when necessary. We recently moved to Florida and started shopping at Walmart for paper products and cleaning items, again reluctantly. After what Walmart has been doing to help the Bahamas after the hurricane and doing their part to stop gun violence I now shop there with a smile on my face. Thank you for helping those in need. I usually despise all walmarts and never enjoy going to any of them. I am usually a target person for everything especially after working for them for so long. This is the only Walmart that I can say is nice and I've walked into many. The store is actually clean! The registers are not overly packed and the cashiers are friendly. The other nice thing about this particular Walmart is the fact you can go on Sunday and it's not ridiculous with the lines and the parking lot being crazy. The other shocker with this Walmart compared to others is there are no weird people walking around..nobody's wearing pajamas or anything els crazy. read more
