I'm currently at the pharmacy on 6/14/18 with a fantastic tech named Serah and she is going above and beyond to help me with a complex Rx. I haven't been able to afford my medication for over a year and my newest Rx is more expensive. She's calling people, asking co workers to help others because she has awesome customer service skills and is killing it. I shopped there yesterday and bought just a few items. I didn't make it home with my $12.50 make up. I love 26 miles away. I called at 10pm when I realized I didn't get the item. I called 3 times and no one answered. I looked on line they were open. Called twice today no one answered. Finally got through to someone twice and was transferred to customer service where it rang more than 15 times. Only 1 time did it go back to the person that transferred me and he sent me right back to which no on answered again. Still no answers. Worst shopping experience ever!!! The employees are rude, lazy, and won't lift a finger to assist anyone. It's obvious that this location has had a shortage on staff, therefore running this business into the ground. The reason people choose to shop here is for the convenience of having variety, getting everything you need in one place...lately this is no longer an option because 9 times out of 10 they DO NOT have a single item I need. My most recent visit was at the customer service desk trying to return an item...apparently you need to read the Walmart policies (typed in small print, taped on the back of the wall) before purchasing anything you may or may not need to return. I recently visited Walmart in Bozeman and I am very disappointed in the shopping experience. The store has become very trashy. The floors are filthy and the shelves are sparse. OK so my friend tried to buy a new phone here and there was no one in the phone section to help her so we searched high n low and found NO ONE and finally asked an employee walking by to help us and he said NAH but that OK he will page someone to help you so we stood around for ten minutes and never heard a page and when we finally gave up and walked away I saw him in the dog food aisle messing around with the bags of dog food and I don't even think he was really even doing anything, just squeezing the bags and like playing around with them because the dog food feels lumpy and interesting through the package, and also they didn't have the one other thing we wanted which the website said was in stock which was a water pressure regulator but we did buy some crappy speakers for pretty cheap so plus one star for that. None of us should be shopping here anyway. read more

I AM FURIOUS WITH WALMART RIGHT NOW!!! I decided to go on a bike ride today with my 1 year old. So I go online this morning to pick out what I want and have my husband pick it up at the store so we can go riding today. I pick out a bike and a bike trailer for my son to sit in. I see that if I order online, I can pick it up TODAY in the store. So simple all my husband has to do is pay and bring it home. How fabulous! A husbands dream come true! I decide to go that route and after I order, it says I'll be notified a bit later when I can pick it up. I was a little flustered because I wanted to go get it right then, but figured I can wait a few. 4 hours pass and still no email saying my order is ready, so I called the online customer service and the man was very helpful. He told me to wait a little longer. So I did. 2 more hours pass and I'm getting fed up so my husband decides to just go there and pick the items out himself using a screenshot of our order and pay for it there. He gets there and the items are nowhere to be seen. My husband then asks a manager to check the back for the items and he comes back to say they're out of stock. My husband even explained that we JUST ordered these 2 items online and chose to pick them up AT THIS LOCATION TODAY! He tells my husband to wait there (in the bike isle) and he would check again. Well.....he never came back. My husband waited in the same spot for a good 25 minutes. I just want to know: IF YOU'RE OUT OF STOCK THEN HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO PICK UP MY ONLINE ORDER TODAY?! So furious and will never be returning to this location. PS, I have always been a loyal Walmart shopper and have always loved the friendly staff here. But I guess my Bozeman Walmart days are finished. Time to go look at Target and hopefully go on that family bike ride! read more

The photo center is ridiculous. Super rude girl who helped me. And I called there and no one answered after being sent to their extension 5 times and calling twice that day. The girl told me my pictures were ready and that she saw them when I called, I wanted to make sure before I made a long trip to Bozeman to get them. I got there and they could not find them. My fiancé also waited there twice that week for almost an hour when they said they would be done and were never done until almost weeks later.. terrible customer service. Once they were finally in, I waited for the girl to grab them and she never acknowledged me for a long time while sitting there on a phone. And I finally asked for my pictures and she rolled her eyes and grabbed them and told me to just pay for them in the front because she was busy. So rude. Walmart needs to get their photo center under better control. read more

In December 2016 I began working at the Walmart in Bozeman, Montana in the sporting goods department. Getting close to retirement age, I had extensive knowledge and experience in hunting, fishing, camping and general sports. It seemed like a good fit since I enjoyed being able to offer great customer service to folks I shared interests with. When my associate work reviews came around all boxes were checked "meets or exceeds all expectations". The assistant managers doing the reviews asked me if I would be interested in being a department manager. I respectfully declined saying I was happy with the current position. After working in the sporting goods dept. for about a year, assistant managers would come around to different departments looking for associates to help with unloading the truck. They were short handed in the Cap 2 department and I was happy to help out once in a while. It usually amounted to a couple of hours of unloading the delivery truck and then we would return to our regular departments. This became a standard procedure several days a week. Then one day when I came in to work at the sporting goods dept. the manager told me that I was scheduled to work in the Cap 2 department all day unloading the truck. I worked that day unloading the truck and learned that I was scheduled several days that week in Cap 2. After that week I asked to meet with the general manager, Mr. H. Upon meeting with him, I informed him that I certainly didn't mind helping out once-in-a-while, but being over 60 years old it was not physically possible for me to endure this on a regular basis. His answer, in short, was, "I'll see what I can do to get that fixed for you." When the next schedule came out, I was scheduled full-time, all week in Cap 2. At that point I talked to the assistant manager, S, who was over our department. I told her that Mr. H was supposedly getting me back to sporting goods as normal. I told her that my back and mainly ankles could not take the workout of unloading the truck on a daily basis. She said that if I could just finish out the schedule she would not schedule me back in Cap 2 any more. I worked each day on maximum dose ibuprofen and saw a podiatrist for help with my ankles because at the end of each day I literally could barely walk to my vehicle. I am not over weight or lack physical fitness in any way. I simply have age-related joint issues that make that intensive and ongoing level of labor on concrete crippling. When the next schedule came out I was still scheduled in Cap 2. I went straight to assistant manager, S, and said "I don't get it?" She said that some other assistant manager had made out the new schedule and there was nothing she could or would do about it despite knowing the damage the sustained schedule was causing me physically. This is when it became obvious to me, the apathy of Walmart management is both unprofessional and morally unacceptable. Not one manager at any level listened, cared or took appropriate action. Number 7 of "Sam's rules" was listen to everyone in your company. That night I went home and wrote out my two- weeks notice to leave Walmart knowing that if I stayed I would literally be unable to walk. After working at Walmart for 18 months I gave them my notice. When you leave employment at Walmart you are asked to fill out parting paperwork. On the form it asks that you state your reason for leaving. In that space I simply wrote, "management apathy." After I finished out my last two weeks I got a notice that my parting paperwork was ready to be picked up. I stopped by and saw Ms. S in HR. She said it wasn't really necessary that I made a trip just to pick up a copy of the paperwork but she gave it to me since I was there. When she handed it to me, I looked at it and seeing the unethically altered form, said to her "Well, that's creative." She said, "What do you mean?" I responded, "You changed my reason for leaving from 'management apathy' to 'other career opportunities.'" She stated "Well, it just sounds better in case you ever want to come back to work here." I assert this was unethical and downright dishonest. I don't believe this is something Sam Walton would have endorsed. Moreover, I am a hard-working, knowledgeable, and highly dependable employee having spent years of my career in marketing with Remington Firearm Company, and a published hunting topics author, I am an above-average employment candidate for any sporting goods facility. Walmart management operates at such a high level of unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and apathy that they can't keep any quality workers, myself included in that number. read more

If I could rate this store at zero stars I would. The worst store management and inventory management I have ever witnessed in any store. They are always under stocked of grocery and never have the items you need. Literally the shelves are bare and they don't even keep staple foods stThis store has an apocalyptic type feel with the scarcity of the shelves and lack of organization. The employees never seem engaged and it shows leadership in this store is horrible. Today was my final straw shopping at Walmart and my family and I will never return. I would rather pay 30 dollars extra per week and shop at rosauers than shop in this miserable store. Update: I received a phone call from store manager Bobby who explained the stores situation to me. It sounds like they are trying to make improvements through proper staffing, training, and engaged leadership. The Bozeman Walmart is no longer a one-stop shopping experience. I often find myself going elsewhere to get the items that were out of stock. Shower cleaner, boy's socks? Why would the shelves be completely devoid of these items? I went to the Helena Walmart last weekend and it was like a different world - everything was stocked and shelves were faced as one would expect. Stopped in Sunday 7/8 to pick up several items. Shelves were bare, left with less than half of what we came in for. Mountains of stock crammed in aisles, no employees in sight, 1 checkout with a live cashier and about a dozen people in line. It was our worst shopping experience ever, anywhere. Here is a helpful review instead of those anti-Walmart-in-general-so-i-am-going-to-rate-the-local-store-based-on-my-personal-opinions-of-the-corporation... reviews previous mine. Positives...The store is pretty clean and well lit. The store went through a remodel recently and it shows. The isles are stocked very well and an effort is made (minimal at times though) to clean up holiday isles that tend to get ransacked very fast. The bathrooms are very clean both front and rear of store. The parking lot is kept clean and most of the time the carts are removed before they overflow the cart parking and spill onto the parking lot. Negatives...Electronic items are very often out of stock for the particular brand/model i am looking for. The employees that help you are usually knowledgeable and friendly but there are a fair amount of employees that avoid talking to you most likely because they are not knowledgeable about the items or the store layout. This is the same at any retail chain store though. And the number one complaint is NOT ENOUGH CHECKOUT LINES OPEN! Better than Kmart by a mile but worse than Target (not by much) All in All i shop at Walmart anytime i am on a road trip so i have been into a Walmart in just about every state in the lower 48 and this one is definitely in the top 5. PS as far as the corporate haters are concerned i want them to do their research before they speak... Low pay? The average Bozeman Walmart Checker makes a dollar more per hour than the average Kenyon Noble Counter person. (Kenyon Noble is one of the largest private employers in the area with well over 300 employees and is entirely locally operated) Their part time help (under 30hrs...most of the employees) do not get insurance either. read more

My roommate and I went in to return a few items and the lady at the counter was yelling a-crossed the store to one of the cashiers her manager ID number and password to by pass something on the register. Then keep swearing at the phone telling it to "shut up" and that she wasn't going to answer it. Along with nothing on the shelves and veggies are always brown and not buy able. read more

I don't know what I expected when I went to this Walmart . I had seen an ad online for clearance that was only available in store. Found it on their website and confirmed it was at this location as well. The website said their were six left in stock. I knew it may not be there but I wanted to check as it was such a good deal. Easy right ? Wrong. I looked a bit not sure exactly where the item might be. Finally I asked an associate to help me. She didn't even try, she immediately argued that it was an online deal even though I tried to clarify to her that it said the price was in store only and it was in stock at that location. There was no option to buy online. She ignored me and repeated that it was an online deal only. And went on some rant about back to school and plastics not being on clearance. I went to find someone else who would at least look and see where the item should be located. He was very polite and looked and took me to the area where it was supposed to be. The second we get over there the lady I asked for help before saw us and immediately interrupted to argue more about the item, following us to the other isle continuing to tell me they would not price match an online deal (even though it wasn't an online deal ) . I finally went and talked to the managers just wanting a freaking answer on the deal advertised on their website for IN-STORE. they kindly listened and and looked at the webpage and helped me out. This whole ordeal took 45 minutes, just to get a freaking answer . I'm only giving two stars because of the other associates that were nice. read more

Went in to grab a case of beer while my brother (who's 16) was getting some fruit. Long story short when I went to check out the cashier wouldn't sell the beer to me because my brother and I had gone through the same check-out lane and were considered "the same transaction" even though there were several people separating us and we had no choice because, being Walmart, this was of course the only lane open. Not only is the policy ridiculous but the cashier was rude and snobby about it. I wouldn't expect anything less from Walmart. So if you want to buy alcohol and you have your child/ younger sibling with you, don't go to Walmart because they may accuse you of trying to buy for a minor and ask to see your 10 year old's ID. read more

I witnessed the Manager of this Walmart kick out a group of international students (from a warmer climate) into the cold. I had the pleasure to speak with a couple of the students and they were extremely professional and sweet. I am appalled at this service. This is not what Montana is about. I reviewed this POS store once before for being stupid enough to purchase a cell phone there, and it turns out they purchase knockoffs and they are not even the brand they profess to be. I should have taken my own advice, because I purchased a Eureka vacuum cleaner from this store. It didn't even last out the month before it began NOT to work, and I had the added aggravation of having to haul it back to the store. the Bozeman mt wal mart super center is the worst I've personally found in the nation.its Honestly impressive how little how little the employees know about the items In inventory,as well they're lack of concern when it comes to customer service.when asked to speak to the general manager I get ignored and they refuse to call a supervisor.overall I would give this business negative stars if the option was available.the customer service desk provides anything but customer service not to mention they have made assumptions on a non factual basis and put me on the fraud list so I'm not able to return my purchases with a legitimate receipt.when trying to address the situation the person in loss prevention did nothing to help me find a resolution.I grew up in bozeman Montana and I cannot condone the way they do business so I won't spend a dollar there in the future.if you are just visiting I would avoid this wal mart at all costs and if you are a resident you most likely have become aware of how terrible this place is.the only way I have had an experience that didnt entirely ruin my day is when shopping there without any interaction from employees.I have a level of dissapointment toward this establishment I didn't know existed before encountering this poor excuse for a business.it would take a storewide termination and hiring process to salvage that store read more

Unbelievably filthy! I got a good look because our truck had a dead battery. While charging, I walked our dog all around the exterior, front and back. Trash all over. I realize a presence of homeless etc. However I say there were Bozeman customers who drive nice cars and would live in nice homes. 1. Management must take charge! 2. Bozeman folks and all customers, don't litter! Shame on you if you are that irresponsible. 3. Management , instruct employees to pick up trash, empty receptacles, etc. 4. Watched an employee come with a trash cart, take out a couple pieces at the top of the can, then go on down the sidewalk, never picking up trash in the bushes or on sidewalk!! He left the receptacle 3/4 full, so is this how the manager tells them to go out and empty trash?? This is pathetic!! We've shopped at this WalMart several times. We were looking for some stuff that they normally stock but that they were out of. We went back 4 different times that they said it would be in stock and the last time, they said it was in the building on a pallet, but they were not willing to go back and grab a couple of the items for us, despite the fact that we even called ahead and they said it was in stock, so we made the trip into town only to find it was not yet on the shelf. They were extremely unhelpful and unfortunately there's nowhere else around that carries this particular item. Horrible customer service. read more

I am not really sure what is going on with Walmart in Bozeman? The shelves are not stocked from the meds isle to the grocery isle! There was no big holiday shopping going on just a normal weekday. The seasonal area checker was very backed up so I went to the main department and stood in a check outline 15 plus minutes. Took my receipt to go to my car walking by the seasonal checker who was by herself checking out other costumer and asked to see my receipt. I get that no big deal. She was just checking that I paid for my cart full of items. I handed her the receipt and told her what was in my cart. She handed my receipt back to me. Then she started looking over my cart and wanted the receipt back again! I was pleasant until that point and all I could say was really??.. when you have a receipt that you purchased over a 100 dollars of small items that matches what is in my cart you would not be question as if you did something wrong? Ok, I get it there are people who have bad days but, the empty shelves all scattered throughout the stores, long, very long checkout lines and excessively questioning with receipt in hand? I won't be shopping there anytime soon! People look for a store that knows you work hard for your money, knows your time is valuable and trusts the receipt their employee printed out!!!!! read more
