Combative, unprofessional, egotistical manager at this location hung up on us after we lost our wallet with thousands in it. Refused to help in any way and demanded I respect his authoritai and talked to me like I was his employee and having a meltdown over nothing before hanging up on us. Walmart, this man should not be in customer Service. The man i spoke to in the electronics Department should have that position. I went to the store this morning. When I got home I was missing three items I had packing d for. I called and was told to come in with my receipt. I followed instructions and went to the aisle to retrieve the items I had bought before. When I brought them to customer service who said one of the items didn't match my receipt. I informed the associate that the three items were what I had purchased before. She implied I was not being truthful. When I expressed my concern she said she was being kind because the associate at the register is really good about returning items left behind. I again shared I paid for the three items and didn't appreciate her implying I was trying to get something for nothing. She then made a negative comment about other customers will fraudulently try to get products. Very disappointed. May not go back to this store read more

If there is a worse Walmart I'd be surprised. Return is staffed by one person despite line of 15, combined with money transactions too. Suffered thru it and shopped, went to self checkout and had an issue and nobody comes to help because they only have on person there who is sweeping the floor instead. Despite needing my stuff I eventually just walked out and left it all, just didn't want to spend my money there. Run of the mill Walmart although it is notably cleaner than the Walmarts in my hometown. The groceries and goods are close in price. No hard liquor sold in stores here but I was able to buy some craft beer (Mother Earth Brewery which I am now a big fan of). Overall, a little better than most other locations! read more

Store #02508. 2 weeks ago, April was the same person who gave another family a problem over the alcohol because the wife was doing the scanning, while her husband was helping with their 2 kids. The wife was old enough and April asked for her ID, but her husband, being a gentleman, pulled out his wallet for his ID. April wouldn't accept it and the husband got upset and I understood why. He was a Veteran, a Navy Seal. Even if April wasn't aware he was a Navy Seal based on his tattoos visible on his arms, the military logos were all there. That man rightfully, being questioned about his wife's age while he's right there with the kids, offering his ID, with April it came down to who scanned the items. That's bull. I also had an issue TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH A NON ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON! We live in Idaho. English is the primary language and those that are trying assimilate should be learning English. The only person in the deli was someone who told me "no habla English". I have previously ran into non English speaking workers in the clothing dept. Those were clothes. I just decided to try to look again, and didn't find what I was looking for. This time was over food. Not being able to speak to someone about food that day in the deli dept because she didn't speak English was ridiculous!. A worker at the check out tried Google translation but that didn't work either. April then went back to the deli. She spoke with someone she called "Coach". There was no solution to that either. THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE IN THE DELI OR THE LITTLE OFFICE THERE AT THE TIME THAT I SPENT 15 MINUTES OR SO TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH A NON ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON. We live in Idaho. English is the primary language and those that are trying to assimilate should be trying to learn English. Walmart should be doing something to teach them English if they are hiring them or not have them work with customers until they do. I then went to the floor supervisor, who's name sounded like "Chazz" (I couldn't see his badge), and he pretty much laughed at me. The gentleman from the checkout area, who had tried Google translate with the woman at the deli, had gone with me. He actually got a hold of "Chazz", found out where he was in the store, knew we were on our way to where he was at, only to find that "Chazz" had decided to move on to another area, likely not wanting to deal with a customer. After we walked away from "Chazz" this other young man apologized for "Chazz's" behavior. He told me he felt bad as to how this all happened. If I'd been Chazz's mom or grandma, I'd love to have wiped the smirk off his face. I did call the walmart administration office and lodged my concern, complaint, but likely nothing has become of that. Those checking out are treated as if we are all trying to steal, buy alcohol when we are actually old enough to, and treated like criminals. Idaho doesn't play around. You get busted for stealing, you serve the fullest sentence they can give you. When you are regulars there, years after years, have had no issues, do not steal things and live by high moral standards are treated like criminals during check out or can't talk to someone in another language and they came here and not the other way around, treating our Veterans so badly, just isn't acceptable. I'm married to a naturalized citizen. He had to learn English. It was required. He spoke French before he came to the US, legally. He got into classes to learn English. He wasted no time. I get it. Our oldest son has lived in Switzerland for 16 years, working for Google. He had to learn Swiss German. He's now going through the process of becoming a Swiss citizen. I'm not new to people coming and going and having to learn the primary language of the country they have migrated to. It's English here. To put someone in the deli that can't communicate with customers is about as dumb as it gets. Clothes is one thing. Food is quite another. I'm aware that several people are starting to use the Meridian walmart. It's further and I'm usually short on time and don't have time to drive to the Meridian one, but if I have to, I will. Unless I see a change in how people are treated at this particular store, I'll end up going to Meridian. I know you people don't care because I'm sure you have enough people shopping there, but this Walmart store used to be good to go to. That's no longer the case. Now, I dread checking out. I don't bother using the deli and I've taken that business to Fred Meyers. This is Idaho though. This isn't CA or NY, NJ. I expect people to be kind to one another, and to be able to communicate with those working there if there are questions. It used to be that way. I'm not shocked what's going on with this walmart. What can improve? Customer service can, Abbas really needs more training. It really seemed like he doesn't like people. He didn't even acknowledge the customers in the line, he just walked away from the customer and didn't even say anything to them. Christian was awesome! He always so nice and understanding and kind to me. He has to take over his cashier. And I literally broke down crying cause I was so overwhelmed by how Abbas was handling all my returns. I had to call the store while I was in line so I can speak to the manager and even the lady who answered was rude and just hung up on me. I swear, if the managers would train their employees better customer services. Walmart experience would be so much better. It's not hard to be a HUMAN BEING. I had an appointment scheduled in the auto shop, and from the beginning they were not pleasant to speak with. They said that my tires were not available initially even though I told him I had an email saying that I had a scheduled appointment and that my tires were there. This morning, I went to Walmart to purchase motor oil and an oil filter. The automotive section was a mess. Nothing was where it should be, and half the shelves were empty. After a few minutes of searching through the mess, I found the oil I needed. Now, it was time to look through the mess for a filter. No luck, no filter. The spot for the filter I needed was empty, and I couldn't find it in the mess. So I went to check out with half the items I came shopping for. I scan my items and try to pay, but the card scanner doesn't work. Why can't this store hire competent employees? I worked retail many years ago and can tell you that if I ran the automotive section like the person who runs the section at this store, I would have been fired for being incompetent. Today I went to Walmart on overland and received some horrible service. I was shopping with my husband and he was trying to buy wine. The store attendant asked for his ID and he provided it. He then came back and asked if I was my husbands daughter? I said no and he asked for my ID. I didn't have it nor was I buying the alcohol. He then said it doesn't matter they can ID who ever they please. I asked that then with that logic if I had brought my 6 year son in he would have been IDd? He responded he could if he wanted. While I don't particularly like this store as a whole. It has nothing to do with Walmart. It's the customers at this location that I tend to dislike. It's probably the busiest story I go to and it's just always too crowded and for some reason the parking lot drives me bonkers. But the best part of this store is the Pharmacy. Top notch hard working (most of them) crew. I try not to do my shopping her but always get my prescriptions here. Still better by far than the neighborhood market. read more

I've been to this location several times.. however this review is solley placed on their incredible vehicle pick up service! I've always heard amazing responses when it comes to grocery pick ups. In all honesty, I don't know what took me so long to try it, but it is officially life changing. I placed my order the night before (because I knew I needed an earlier morning pick up). Being a new mom, I was trying to schedule around feedings and naps.. my pick up time that I chose was between 8am-9am (7am-8am is the earliest for pickups). Before I left my house, I was able to "check in" and it let the stools clerks know that I was on my way. As soon as I arrived, I just had to use my app and let them know what parking spot I was in and the color of my vehicle. The store clerks greeted me and loaded my car up. I had a REALLY rough sleep night with my kiddo the night before, so it was a total bonus being able to pick these groceries up in my pajamas and I never had to leave my vehicle. One thing that I didn't do was double check the items that were ouT of stock. Fortunately, the items they were out of were not a pressing need.. but it's something I will remember to double check next time. There is a $30 minimum order requirement. I am already looking forward to my next future pick up. read more

Gave Walmart another chance because it is the cheapest pickup option, unfortunately my feelings haven't changed. Walmart is ridiculous and if I could give it zero stars I would. Not even sure why they offer pickup when they literally NEVER have your groceries on time. You get that dumb text saying your order is "delayed" and then zero other updates so you try to call and no one answers. You'd think with the amount of employees they have they would be able to figure it out and set up a better system, but I swear it just keeps going downhill. read more

From out of town and needed a new screen protector for my iPhone and was promptly greeted by an associate offering to help. He knew exactly what I needed and proceeded to show me the protector. While showing me the protector he quickly showed me a feature on my phone to enhance my photos. (Totally awesome and above and beyond his job for a $6 purchase!). He removed the glass I had on my phone and installed the new one. The cashier and this associate were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately I did not get their names. Store #02508 TR# 04578. Four stars for a Walmart? You betcha! They aren't kidding when they claim to have affordable prices. In particular, I like to come here for items like face wash, moisturizer, soap, household supplies, etc. I can purchase my favorite face wash here for at least $2-3 cheaper than other stores. Same with my moisturizer, body soap, and some hair products I use. They also have an awesome household section. I never think to come here for home decor, cookware, etc. But every time I'm here and walk past those aisles, I think to myself, "Next time I need something for the kitchen, I should buy it here!" I guess everything I wrote above could be true of any Walmart, so I'll elaborate on what I like about this one in particular: it's well-kept, well stocked and clean! I'm not joking when I say that nearly every aisle I find myself on has an employee either restocking items, or organizing that aisle. Additionally, whenever I come here looking for something, it is in stock! I actually went to a different store twice this past week looking for my face wash and it was out of stock. I came here and they had it (along with everything else on my shopping list)! Other things: + They have friendly and kind employees. Every experience I've ever had interacting with their employees has been positive. + Their lines get pretty long, but they also move quickly - especially the self checkout area! read more

An attendant usually overrides to reader to use the magnetic strip after 3 failures of the chip reader. Today I just walked away from the checkout and left the groceries sitting there. In this state, retailers like Walmart NOW set you up in sting operations of their own. Walmarts in Boise since about April 2017 have had these security camera signs all over the store. They have the signs posted in some aisles but not in others. How odd! Don't you dare think for one second it is "safe" to score something like a T-bone steak while "hiding" in one of the aisles that doesn't happen to have a security camera warning sign posted there.You can count on them to watch every square inch of the store: signs or no signs in certain places. In addition to security camera signs, you will now see uniformed private security clowns greet you when you come in the door. They call their "sting operators" at Wally-World, "loss prevention" personnel. This multi-billion dollar corporation will try to hang you high if they even catch you stealing a comb made in China. If they even happen to know beforehand you are putting things in reusable bags in the back of the store they are not going to politely remind you to pay for the pre-bagged things at the cash registers as they do in California. No, in Idaho they will wait until you get past the check-stands then pounce on you just as you are about to wheel your cart out the front door like a black leopard jumping on a passing bicycle rider from a tree in an African jungle. Then they will hold you in their office until the police arrive. You will be cited for petty theft and face jail and fines. California retailers like to avoid bringing the police into situations as much as possible even when you look like you are about to shoplift. In Idaho, however, they are out to HANG you on purpose! Another thing, retailers, especially Walmart, might follow you around the store if you even walk in the store with reusable bags. In Idaho, a reusable bag is a red flag to profile YOU, the customer ever since their camera warning signs went up. read more

Being that Boise is mostly white in population it's obvious as two why they are following around a young Mexican woman in the cosmetic isle. I love this location! Everything is where it should be and it doesn't feel as if it's out of control and things are where they shouldn't be. I love that the first thing that happened when I came in was a little boy telling me thank you for your service. I smiled and then let the mother know that I was in the Army before but I didn't lose my foot in active duty. Her husband came up and shook my hand. He stated it showed what kind of man I was by not taking any sympathy and that I didn't attempt to milk the system, as he said. He was active duty and just reenlisted. Please, pray for this family as their dad and husband heads back into active duty and possibly overseas. Also, I believe this store has amazing employees because I had two of them racing to get to me just to ask if I needed any help. That was amazing! As always, Walmart, Overland Rd. Boise, ID, has clearance items every time you walk into the store. I first noticed two racks close to the checkouts of Fall and Winter items posted for $1.00. I found a couple things me and my family might like and asked a clerk if both racks were $1.00? Her response was "You'll have to ask the ladies in the fitting room or apparel. As I made my way towards the Apparel department, I stopped at other clearance racks. I made it to the fitting room and there were three ladies there talking and having a few giggles about they're conversation. I asked one of the ladies, who stepped out of the conversation to clear out her basket of returns, if the items I picked off the front clearance racks were all $1.00. Her response back to me was "Yes, everything with a yellow tag is all $1.00. Everything in this area (as she pointed to the entire women's apparel area). I then asked again, "Everything with a yellow tag?" She said "yes, for Mother's day we are only doing this for women's clothes not anything else." I looked at the other two ladies and they gave me as it looked like both yes's. I asked if the clerks at the checkout know this. She replied "just get a yellow vest Clerk to override the items, they know what to do. The people who do the computer input didn't have time to input all the items, so the manager's said all yellow clearance items just for Mother's day only". After being told three times, I went for one more indepth look for yellow tag items. I filled my cart thinking, " thats a nice thing for Walmart to do for Mother's day". I then headed to the grocery side for the remainder of my shopping, then to the checkouts to end my day. Well.... after yelling two yellow vest clerks, one going back to the apparel/fitting room and asking she came back and said they told her "no, just the otems up front". I had all my food items scanned and bagged and was ready for the clothes clearance items. I asked if I could go back and find the lady who told me this and if they would hold my cart and groceries. I went back to the fitting room and asked the two ladies if what they're co-worker told me was correct. They're Answer was, in the morning they were told by a younger new manager that, yes, for Mother's day all clearance racks will be $1.00. Then, of course my luck, she went home for the day. The ladies then told me the department heads, right after they were told by the manager, that only the front two racks were $1.00. I asked them who and where the lady was who told me and I was told she left. So, for 'False Advertising and incorrect information given to a patron was not making me or my Mother's day very happy. So I asked Andrea, an older woman in a yellow vest who was watching my items and did argue with a bit, I asked to speak with a manager. After a few minutes I asker her again and her response was (snotty manner) "I called two time and won't do it again". WOW! That's great customer service I thought. After waiting for about 5 minutes finally a manager ce down and I proceeded to explain the situation. She looked at Andrea and told me to hang on a minute. She went to a closed checkstand, brought over a nice young man to check me out and would be overriding ALL clearance items and give them to me for $1.00. She also told 'Snappy Andrea' to take all my groceries over there unbag them and re-scan them all. After spending over 2.5 hours shopping for, what I was told a 'Too Good to be True Deal' I was just glad to be out of that store and away from the uninformed, lack of communication between, not only the employees, but the department heads and managers of the store. They literally have NO CLUE what or who's doing what. Will I shop at Walmart again? I prefer WINCO for groceries, but for clothes, I'll check out Thrift Stores first before going to that Walmart again. If you treat your patrons decent, go the extra mile and NEVER should you speak to them SNOTTY there may be happier customers and you! I'm sure Walmart doesn't care because they do carry everything and anything, like Amazon, and sometimes cheaper and on everywhere in America. Traveling through Boise and needed to have my headlight bulbs replaced. I was told they were busy and it was going to take a while. When I checked back about 1.5 hours later I was informed that they hadn't even started! They said they people working in the bay failed to see the work order and they were closing up shop. I needed to get back to the hotel and my family, as it was nearly 7 pm. I declined to wait any longer while they decided whether they could even get it done tonight. If there was less than one star, that is what the store would receive. This Walmart has gone to all self check out except for one manned checkout lane. Not only is it all self check out when I was there today all of the checkout machines were card only no cash allowed. This means everyone using cash has to go to the one checker that they still have. This is highly discriminatory and racist. Their customers using cash are predominately older people, Hispanic people, and refugees. This forces them to stand in longer lines and wait and be treated poorly simply because they are using cash. I recommend that everyone avoid this store and their racist, discriminatory practices. They care nothing for their customers only for how much money they can put in their pockets. read more

Got great Insurance United Health care $11.70 a month went to Wallmart next day got eye exam $10 co pay and $150 towards frames. All said and done I will pay $75 out of pocket and have the best glasses I have ever owned. Glasses will adjust when I go outside which is very important since I spend most of my time in a mine! read more

This really is a Super Walmart. I mean, it puts the "Super" Walmart in my neighborhood to shame. My husband, who works for Fred Meyer (a more upscale version of Super Walmart) immediately noticed and commented on how clean and organized the apparel section was in this store the last time we visited. There may have been one or two items on the floor, but it wasn't total chaos like we've seen in other stores. The grocery section is also clean and the store has a great selection of everything. Add to that the fact that they're open close to 24 hours (Google shows store hours as 5 am to 1 am), I'm completely jealous and wishing we had similar in our neighborhood. read more

Everyone knows that, as a rule, Wal-Mart is hell. This review will not dispute that fact, since, Wal-Mart IS hell.. but it can be made a more manageable experience if you pick your battles. Timing is key. IF you choose to go to Wal-Mart right after work. yes, it's going to be busy. Doubly so if you choose to go during prime hours on weekends. Safe yourself some grief.. go in the early morning, or late at night. Just be prepared for even FEWER check stands open, and possibly having to dodge folks stocking shelves. My very first experiences with Wal-Mart were in a trashy little location in Portland Oregon. Compared to that one, THIS location is paradise. But again it is what it is. So just put on your big girl panties/big boy undies and suck it up.. or go to another store and spend more money and maybe don't find what you need. read more
