Very ugly experience. Where is that customer service that mattered to the store businesses, when a customer sees a price it is supposed to be honored. I even took pictures of each sale item then Stormy ,the sale assistant , she took the storm over my purchase. Each item that I picked out had a sale tag for the L'Oréal products and the tags where beneath the item ,so I checked the # and it matched so I went on onto another items and I just scanned and took a picture ,as well to get that sale deal .Well, as a result they trick you how they attach the tags to the items some go above the items some go right beneath. The whole point she never apologized and also pulled one of the items off my shopping list that was already honored to me by another associate for the price I saw under the item. If I could give zero stars, I would. The lack of customer service at this store is shocking. There were multiple people waiting in line, and when I found Ashton checking someone out, his light wasn't on, and the closed sign was gone. I politely asked if his register was open. He rolled his eyes, pointed to the light, and said, "Duh, what do you think?" I clarified that I wasn't sure since he was already checking someone out, to which he snapped back, "NO, I'm not!" I always leave the store disgusted that I've been overcharged once again. I guess you must pay attention to the screen if you want the signed sale prices to be honored. I roll in to Fred Meyer's to get cupcakes, birthday candles, and a lighter. They won't sell me the lighter, unless they're allowed to scan the back of my state drivers license. Excuse me! Fred Meyers does not need to know my height, weight, driving record, date of birth and address to buy a lighter. Some funny excuse about somebody wasn't checking IDs, so... checked my ID, but you don't get to scan my license and use all that info to market to me for the next 10 years. I had a 10 dollar off coupon if I spent 100.00, so I spent 130.00 on items we needed. When the delivery came the woman said she couldnt find some of our allergy medicine and cough syrup. This made the total go down to 99.96...4 cents away from 100.00 so they refused to honor the coupon. I contacted the store and asked if I could pay the 4 cents to get the 10 dollars off, and they said I would need to spend another 100.00 to use the coupon. Fred Meyer is THE place to go when you need organic vegetables, toothpaste, envelopes, socks, grass seed, a monopoly game, a loaf of bread, a new TV, antifreeze, and some dry ice. They have it all. They also have some pretty good specials from time to time. I especially like it when they have Starbucks Pike Place coffee on sale, and sometimes I pick up half a dozen of them if the price is really good. Don't forget to use your Fred Meyer Rewards card, so you can save more money on gas. I've used this store since it was built. I almost always find what I'm looking for. Everything from fresh produce, some organic produce and foods which have expanded over the years, meats, bakery (excellent birthday cakes), and kitchen tools. I always enjoy shopping in the Garden Center in Spring and Summer. Most importantly, I've taken advantage of the grocery ordering on the app and pick up service for the past few weeks. I've had good experience with it and have nothing but kudos for the company for offering this service. The clerks have been extremely positive and declined tips which I was pleased to offer. This Fred Meyer is nothing but well-stocked, clean, and fully staffed. I have no complaints about the store. Each time I have visited they have had what I needed. Interestingly, they don't have all organic baby food options which is strange. Most stores have only organic baby food but Fred Meyer has a mix of non-organic and organic which is good for people looking to save some money. Their staff is very friendly and helpful, and even some of the ladies stocking shelves asked if we needed any help or needed anything behind their cart so they can move them out of the way. I have been a Fred Meyer shopper for over 25 years, but I have finally cut up my card and I won't be back regardless of their rewards. It is impossible to go to their store and ever buy anything and make an exchange or return without standing in their line for over 20 minutes. It seems like they would get a separate department for their so-called banking with their Western Union money orders, and their lottery ticket bullshit. I have decided to no longer shop at Fred Meyer on Overland Road. Yesterday, after seeing the sign on their door that says, "Masks Required", I went in to shop. There were 6 people in the store, customers, that were wearing no mask (they all were around me at one time or another, same isle). No one in the store asked them anything. I asked one of the managers, who happened to be standing by check out, "Why are there people in this store with no masks on?" He replied, "We cannot make anyone wear a mask". Well then, nothing is required as the sign would suggest and no one in the store has the chutzpah to ask anyone why they are not wearing a mask. The pandemic is out of control. This would be another reason why. Also, the same store......If you exit the parking lot on the North side, which goes out onto Overland Road, they have mis marked the lanes in their parking lot. They repaved the lot and marked it incorrectly. One lane has a left hand arrow, one has a right hand arrow. People who are going straight through take their chances everyday, cause people are confused on even having the ability to go straight across the intersection, on through to Clear Creek. Near wrecks weekly. I have spoken to 3 managers at this Fred Meyer about this, asking them to correct the lane marking, to show which lane is a straight through shot. Nothing is done. It has been over a year. Management at this store is unresponsive and obviously care nothing for it's customers. read more

I've been shopping at the Overland Fred Meyer for probably 14-15 years now. I was surprised to see today that there were only 3 1/2 stars. After looking at reviews, I noticed that the one star review by one person probably brought this down. She gave them a negative review because she saw people In the store with no masks. I have news for her, Fred Meyer can't force people to wear masks. Don't get me wrong, I go NOWHERE without one. But, as much as any place can request one to wear one, because there is no statewide mandate, they can not enforce this. Spend your time and effort blaming the governor, not punishing Fred Meyer. Now, on to the reason I came to write a review. My local Fred Meyer is a wonderful store. The folks who work there are my friends, or at least seem to be like my friends, and neighbors, as they treat me as such. There are always friendly smiles and helpful associates in every department. I can find almost anything I need at Fred Meyer, so it can be my one stop shop for many things. Their sales are second to none, as I am a bargain hound, and their coupons that you can download easily on their app save me a ton of money. During Covid, I have been using their pickup option. This has been a real lifesaver. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate this service. They always get me what I need, and if it is out of stock, their substitutions are fabulous, and many times, I end up getting a better deal anyway. Their meat and seafood departments are fantastic, as I am on a Ketogenic diet and need good quality grass feed and organic meat. Their prices for this are competitive and they offer great sales if you watch the ads. Their natural and organic foods selections abundant, and I can get everything on my list easily with no hassle. Their sushi there is one of the best grocery store sushi in town, and I regularly pick it up for my picky husband. The deli department will slice your meats and cheeses exactly to your requirements and the bakery makes the best custom cakes for my son when he has a birthday party. Not only do they look great, they taste great with tons of different options. The fact that they also sell good quality clothing and shoes for great prices, bedding and kitchen goods, decor, toys, hardware, not to mention great nursery stock (which I can judge fairly as a former garden designer). Fred Meyer is truly the best one stop shop in town. I will continue to be a loyal customer for the duration of my residency in Meridian, however long that may be. I have been shopping at the w overland Freddie's for 15 yrs. I'm an RN, and I know that masks work, so I appreciate your masks required signs. However last week when I shopped I counted 13 (THIRTEEN) people without masks, including whole families. FYI whole families do not have the extremely rare conditions that prevent one from wearing a mask. So today I walked into Freddie's for this week's shopping. I was only 50ft in the door before I saw 3 people without masks. I made a decision in that moment. I left. I drove across the street to Albertsons. A more expensive store, with about 1/4 of the clientele. A store I've never chosen. But today I made the decision. Best place for fresh produce. They don't sell fruits that have mold on them the next day. Get a Membership and save on great deals, coupons you will actually use, and gas. One thing that could be better is that they are very inconsistent on when the Deli items go half off (sometimes 6pm, 7pm, 8pm....) Shoppers that don't know the difference between red potatoes or red sweet potatoes. Bananas and avocadoes that are over ripe. Substitutions that make no sense and then I find the item later in the store, because the shoppers don't know their own stores well. Today my husband has waited 45 minutes for an order that was ordered 5 hours ago. Kroger has ruined Fred Meyer when they bought it. This is my go-to grocery store even though Paul's is closer to my home. Store associates are very friendly and looking to get you through check-out faster, even if that means opening another lane. I never have to "guess" if a certain product is in-stock because of their large inventory! Big SHOUT-OUT to their meat department!! I hate touching raw meat and I hate any bit of fat on my meat. Their meat department is almost always so accommodating when I ask that my selection is extra trimmed and I always ask them to filet it for me (Cut it in half so the meat in thinner). I am super picky about me meat, sorry Freddy's. Love it!! Also, in their wine aisle, I really appreciate their ice bath wine cooler. Makes it so easy to chill my wine when I am in the mood for a glass of white as soon as I get home. I do acknowledge that the parking situation could be a bit better, but I always seem to find a spot right up front. I love Fred Meyer stores overall but this is one of my least favorite locations. The service is just not as good. Fred Meyer overall is a great store to shop with. They have the best produce and at fair prices. They also give a free produce snack to kids while you shop. They even offer 1 hour of free child care while you shop. The free child care has limited hours and is generally for ages 3-7ish. They go by how tall your kid is. In my opinion Fred Meyer stores are like a fancy Walmart without all the negatives. If I hadn't of been running late to pick up my son from school, I would have stayed and asked to speak with a manager. But alas, I had to leave the store, so Yelp it is. While most of my experiences with Fred Meyer have been 4 to 5 star worthy, I had the unfortunate experience of a very rude cashier this afternoon. I have four oversized reusable shopping bags. Three of them fit very nicely in Fred Meyer shopping carts. As such, I fill three and leave one empty, that way as the cashier is ringing up my stuff, s/he can simply move the stuff from one bag to another. This way, I don't end up with an additional 20+ plastic bags. This has never been an issue with any cashiers with any of my previous shopping trips to Fred Meyer or any other grocery store. Today, however, the cashier (older woman with silvery white hair in an asymmetrical haircut) about flipped her lid when she saw my oversized bags. She immediately said, "These bags are ridiculous! I can't possibly lift these! Are you serious?!" in a very disgusted tone of voice. I tried to explain to her twice that she didn't have to lift any of them, simply move the products from one bag to another as she rings them up, but she wasn't hearing anything I was saying. She continued to mumbled under her breath, something about how this wasn't WinCo, my bags were out of control and she can't wait until someone puts an end to such ridiculously large bags, and then threw in an occasional "I don't mean to be rude, but..." One thing most people learn in life is that if you have to preface what you're about to say with "I don't mean to be rude, but..." you probably shouldn't say what you're about to say...ESPECIALLY if you work with direct contact with customers. She was, however, quite rude to me and complained the entire time she was ringing up my groceries. She also undercharged me. She punched in the code for my celery ($0.88/lb) as grapefruit ($0.79 each), only rang up one of my two cans of black beans, and did not charge me for my 18 pack of eggs. I don't know if I caught her on a bad day or what, but if I see her, I will never go through her line again. I do not deserve the rude behavior she so easily dished out to me. So, she's rude to customers and losing money for the store. read more

I like the variety of Freddy's and it is my weekly grocery shopping stop. However, I have noticed a huge variance in customer service between departments. The checkers could always improve. Let's try smiling, greeting the customer, loading food appropriately (bananas never go next to cold food!), and generally being customer service oriented. ALSO a huge beef of mine: is you are working the express lane do NOT have long conversations with your customers! Others are waiting...we use express because we want to dash in and out and do not like self-check out. Just remember who your customer is and try more and you'll then get a better review and happier, returning customers! read more

We love Freddy's! The managers patrol the check out area and add cashiers when needed so there's rarely more than 1 person ahead of you in line. Store is clean, lots of organic choices, good coupons and cheap gas if you use their rewards. We do still prefer to go to a meat market but regularly buy their meat as well. I love "Freddy's" as much as the next person. Prices are greater than Walmart but not as busy as Walmart. Have purchased raw meat here for grilling because the selection is far superior to Walmart. My review is about the Deli counter.I was told how good the baguette sandwiches were and I bought 2, about 3 weeks ago. After a couple days I was in the Fred Meyer on Fairview in Meridian and bought another one. Both times good sandwiches and good service. On Sunday, July 7th, my daughter picked up 3 sandwiches for me to take to a friends house and I was shocked when I saw them, they weren't wrapped, they were just put in a plastic bag, and had fallen apart, butter was one one side of the bread only. Needless to say, it wasn' very appetizing looking! Also, there was about half the meat that the other sandwiches had.Just wanted to let you know. Sometimes employees work needs to be checked.
