The rudest auto center ever! They have no respect for how they handle incoming calls. Brad picked up the phone and said nobody has time to talk to you hold. Put me on hold for 18 mins and it would have been longer but I hung up. I called back for him to pick up and just say hold and that was it!!! I was about to buy 4 new tire, but I will take my business to a more respectful busines. I pray one day Walmart closes completely down. I was in the Belleville Gr. MT. Commons location, and went to the Vision Center to get my eye exam. I had great service from the worker named Logan! She was very friendly, helpful, made sure the new glasses I tried on were very comfortable, compared measurements from my old glasses to the new, and more! She was even multi tasking and answering calls too cuz it was a busy time of day. She offered to also tighten my old glasses cuz they are a bit loose from being old. They outright stole from me! I was bringing back a toy for an exchange after Christmas. I wanted to just exchange it so instead of going directly to the customer service desk I went to the toy department and found one to do the exchange. I even had one of there employees scan my product to see what isle it would be on grabbed it put it in the cart went to the front desk and was told it was to late and would have to do it tomorrow. Whit h is completely ok. I put the toy back and continued to shop. After i cashed out on my way out the door they stopped me and told me I stole the toy I bring to the store to return stopped me held my cart and went through my bag and then banned me from the store after embarrassing me in front of every customer in the store I absolutely do not recommend going to the store. read more

This place has hit a new low in customer service. They never have enough cashiers open and then squeeze everyone into the self check lane. The last 5 times here there has never been less than 15-20 people in line at the self checkout lane with only 2-3 lanes open that are 5-6 people deep. It's been going on too long to be a fluke. The extra 6 minute drive to Target will make up for the 15-20 minute wait in. Update: Had to run in for a few things at 10:00pm since Target is closed. 1 lane open in the whole store. Been in line 10 minutes.....moved 1 spot. Self check is backed up 12-15 people deep. read more

The customer experience is horrible. Choose Amazon and Chewy instead. You have self checkout and no regular lanes available in the early mornings. Today I checked out my items, and the cash slot would not accept my cash. The associate told me from twenty feet away to push the cash button. There was no cash button. It turns out that two of the four self checkouts were credit/debit only with cash slots deactivated. The Walmart associate stated that I must not be able to read. I rescanned my items at a cash lane, while another associate stated that I must not have enough money on my credit card. Four years ago I had my credit card number stolen at Walmart, and I no longer use credit cards at Walmart. I am down to less than $30 a week at Walmart, when I used to spend a lot more. Amazon and Chewy have similar, if not lower, prices delivered to my door. The customer service at Amazon and Chewy is A+, and the customer is always right at Amazon and Chewy. The rare mistake at Amazon and Chewy results in a coupon or free item, whereas the Walmart workers harass you if you point out an opened item on the shelf or expired meat item. Try not to trip over the six feet of stacked empty boxes in the aisles, while the workers have their ear buds playing. Can you say fire hazzard and ADA violation for the aisles that are inaccessible to the disabled. At Walmart two weeks ago, I watched a customer sneeze and cough all over the self checkout that I was about to use. No bleach wipes were available. I guess germs and customer service no longer matter to Walmart. read more

my online order was delay for pick up. once I received my offi notification, I notoes WM I was w route and check-in as required. After waiting 1.5 hours, It wasn't until my 3rd complaint to finally get my delivery to my vehicle. my order was dropped on the way to my car- because two cases of water were on top- of the order. so a whole column of Bins fell on the ground. My ice cream was melted and I was missing 7 items (around $40) Worth of grocery. I went inside to complain to (Team Lead Roberto from The deli/bakery) and his response was I am going to look for more employees to help. like youre a team lead and don't have a walkie? So here I am sitting on the Walmart bench the next day- waiting to talk to Dan- store manager. Hope he can give me my money back. It suck's this is the Walmart closest to our Military community. i don't even blame the Jr. employees- this is all mismanagement and only proves that Walmart on Greenmount Manor, in Belleville IL doesnt invest in leadership, customer service training, or their employees/guests. i guess when you're a big brand, job security doesnt affect the corporate guys. read more

It's Walmart so 20 available registers BUT ONLY 3-4 are actually open! It looks as prices went up but customers fastest route to the exit is using the Self Service lane which is also the longest line but at least it has more working registers, go figure! Leave it to Walmart to figure out ho to charge more for products but offer less employees and registers to be opened as customers bag and check themselves out! Well I bought an item probably around 5:30pm the item didn't fit so I took it back in to exchange it for a bigger baby gate. Well guess what, the damn customer service counter closes at freakin 7pm!! I was unable to make the exchange unless I wanted to head in before work as they open at 7am. Doesn't walmart close at 10 or 11pm? So why the heck would the customer service counter close Hours Before the store itself closes? Simply the most ridiculous timing ever!! Just so ya'll know, I without knowing they close at 7pm was back there by 7:10pm and the short blonde hair lady who's apparently the manager still wouldn't let me make the exchange...so I went to Target bought their most expensive baby gate (by the way their Customer Service counter was still open at 9pm) and did a return on the gate from Walmart instead of an exchange!! I work too hard for my money to be inconvenienced by a simple exchange and customer service not being available....but hey it's Walmart when is customer service actually offered by any Walmart employee after you've hunt one down? read more

We just left the Belleville Walmart and the customer service is a zero. No carts for anyone on either side of the store. My husband went out got several carts and brought them back in for some elderly ladies that were needing carts. No one cared that there were no carts and that carts were being used over and over with no one sanitisizing them. Shelves are poorly stocked, and no manager to be found. I just remembered why I mostly shop at Target. If you want a good experience shop elsewhere. read more

If you don't have a receipt it's worth your time to go to fairview heights. On more than a handful occasions the customer service at this store will not take back stuff. They will not use a military ID either. The store itself is usually pretty clean and well stocked. Not to impressed with the quality of produce it goes bad real quick so will chose target or a grocery store for the produce. read more

I was leaving the Belleville Walmart around 8:00 tonight (8/19/2 and had parked next to a cart corral. Two guys were trying make the turn down the isle with an approximately 60 ft chain of carts. They had the first 1/2 to 1/3 of the isle completely blocked for almost 8 min. As I was putting groceries in by back door, I felt my legs being squished. With each cart that was making the curve, it pushed the cart corral further towards my car. I kept saying "Oh, Oh" louder and louder because it was painful , until one of the guys finally realized I was pinned. He watched me struggle to grab the last few items from the far end of my cart, but only paused his quest for a moment. I barely snaked my way out from between my car and the door where I was pinned. He asked if it was against my car and I told him there was less than 2". So at the age of 64 I had to crawl across the counsel from the passenger side to get behind the wheel. They kept adding carts to make the turn and the corral was now pressed against my back door. I could feel the bump as each cart turned the corner. I thought for sure that they would come back and move the corral, but NO! A lady asked me if the corral was up against my car and then yelled to the guys, "Hey, you need to come and help this lady! She can't get out!" They ignored her the first time, but 1 guy came and moved it about 5" so I could squeeze out after she yelled again with more anger. I don't believe I have ever seen such rudeness and negligence for the safety of people, possible damage to cars, and disregard for the time of everyone who could not get out for nearly 8 minutes. I tried to call the store several times; but if you needed to talk to a person, it just rang and rang and then went to a busy signal. They also have the worst pick-up experience of any Walmart in the area. The last time I did a pick-up, I checked in that I was on my way when I was notified that my order was ready. I was 17 min away and still had to wait over an hour for my groceries. read more

I've come to this location multiple times during this social distancing/quarantine. This place always had the essentials stocked bread, eggs, toilet paper, fresh fruits, etc. staff was very friendly and helpful. Keeping carts and registers wiped down. The 3 times I've come here it was early in the morning and there weren't many people there. Will use this location again. read more

Okay, so I kind of hate Walmart...but it's not as though I discriminate, I hate all of them. I could go into the dirty, gritty politics as to why I so despise this corporation...but I won't. This particular Walmart is not so different from the others in the area, but it's right down the road from me and occasionally Target doesn't have something I want. I have often found random odds and ends at this Walmart for cheaper than other places...like air fresheners, my big "body" bouncy ball and DVDs. I have yet to go into a Walmart and NOT been offered assistance from one of their employees at any given point in time. More often than not, I can find a product on my own, but there have been a small handful of times one of their employees has pointed me in the right direction. read more

Order was placed for delivery for 6pm yesterday. It is now 9am the following day. No phone call, no notification of any issue. I tried calling the 800 customer service line last night at 9pm to be told the stores pickup is now closed and to try back at 8am. I called back at 8am and was told they couldn't reach anyone at the store, and was advised to call the store myself. Oh, and that they have 24 hours to deliver my order. Bull! I have been trying to call the store pickup and customer service repeatedly for over an hour and no answer! I work for a living and provide for my family. This is a major inconvenience. Get your shit together Walmart! read more

On 20 November, we used the Walmart (Supercenter #201, 2608 Green Mount Commons Dr., Belleville, IL 62221) fill scripts including one for NORCO. The NORCO was 5-325 strength and was prescribed by the doctor (hospital discharge instructions) to be taken every four hours (2 per) for a total of 12 tablets per 24 hour period. When I left the hospital around 1600 on 20 November after having the required NORCO and Tramadol as well as other drugs prescribed by the surgeon, my pain management was good. We arrived at home and started setting up a schedule for the dispensing of all associated drugs that were prescribed. However, when we checked the discharge instructions against the Walmart directions on the NORCO label, there was a statement not to exceed 8 doses (16 tablets) in 24 hours. My wife and the Home health nurse attempted to mitigate the disparity in instructions but couldn't. Therefore, we followed the instructions on the label. For a couple of days I suffered in level 4-5 pain and it continued to worsen. The surgeon was contacted and a refill requested. My wife went to get the prescription only to find out the surgeon had written the prescription for "325" instead of "5-325" and the Walmart pharmacist refused to fill the prescription. My wife returned home and we again contacted the surgeon for assistance. A new prescription was ordered and my wife picked it up. During the briefing being provided by the pharmacist he stated the "FDA recommends no more than 8 doses per day" and he'd inserted that statement on the original prescription and this prescription. It was because of that change I suffered level 4-5 pain for a couple of days and eventually had to return to the ER in level 8-9 pain. I sent an email complaining about the issue and received a call from the pharmacy in just a few days. The conversation brought about how that statement which reduced my pain medication by two doses every 24 hours. Walmart is actively trying to reduce the opioid issues and the doctors office was contacted about the original dosage. The pharmacist explained to the individual (office clerk/nurse) and got "permission" to reduce the dosage. The pharmacist I spoke with stated it is Walmart's policy to accept the response from the individual answering the phone. The problem is the individual answering the phone/question(s) is not a physician and in most cases, it's a large office where phones are answered by office workers, not qualified medical personnel. The physician normally is not available to answer the phone or the question, so the pharmacist is not getting a medically qualified answer. The pharmacist I spoke to also stated they (Walmart) assume every office they contact will have a standard protocol in place to properly handle this type of situation...that's a far reaching assumption believing every medical office will have a blanket protocol in place to answer inquiries from a pharmacist for every patient and possible situation! The opioid was just one of several drugs being used as a "cocktail" to control my pain. His actions caused me extreme (Level 4-5) pain for days because we diligently followed the instructions on the bottle even though they differed from the discharge instructions. After several days my pain worsened and at level 8-9 pain I was in the ER being admitted to the hospital. We know the pharmacist has a critical job in the health system and I've been "warned" by a pharmacist whenever there was a dangerous overlap of drugs. However, none have ever overrode a doctors actual prescription by adding a critical statement "not to exceed" which in effect adjusted the original dosage. He followed Walmart's policy and in doing so, I suffered extreme pain for several days and endured a hospital stay. Additionally, the opioid was just one of several drugs I was given to control the pain. The doctor was conflicted/confused as to why the "cocktail" of drugs failed. The new cocktail included a higher dose opioid. WE WILL NEVER USE WALMART PHARMACY IN THE FUTURE!!! read more

Walmarts are cheap. I do like this ones layout better than the other in the area. Its clean and my son and I like to stop in the subway and grab a large sweet tea and a cookie before we go shopping. It just makes the experience all the better lol. Downside is I always pick up more than I should when I am shopping here. They definitely have their shoppers psychology down to a science. read more

General goods always seem well stocked. The produce is crappy, but so is the produce at all the stores in this area. I refuse to buy chicken here. Popped in to grab chicken & another item. Grabbed the chicken first and by the time I grabbed the next item I noticed a very foul smell - it was the chicken. Thinking I grabbed a bad pack, I went back to get a different one, but they all smelled foul. Went back a month later, and they still all smelt. Went in the other night and was really crowded as usual. Bread section was about empty and pallets of stuff all over the aisles for restocking posed a tripping hazard. Finally made it to the checkout and an older lady Pat rang me out and was most pleasant to deal with. I have in the past been in the checkout and a supervisor would walk up and just start yacking to the cashier distracting them and proceeded to mess up ringing me out. Scanning item multiple times and not realizing it. They couldn't wait till she finished ringing me out. That really irks me. read more

Auto service dept - I take my 2013 Chevy Equinox to Walmart in Belleville for oil change and tire rotation on a regular basis. On my last visit a week ago, the tech noted on the service receipt that my vehicle was leaking oil. My vehicle is not that old and only has 50,000 miles on it so I was skeptical. When I asked the cashier where the leak was coming from, I was pretty frustrated that no one could give me an answer and the tech had "gone to lunch". The location of the leak was not noted. When I got home, I checked my driveway where I park, no oil spots. I even got under the vehicle and checked and couldn't find any indication of an oil leak. Still feeling concerned and frustrated, I scheduled an appointment with a Chevy dealer to check it since I don't have a lot of time left on my power train warranty. Much to my surprise, there was a leak - but it wasn't an oil leak. I was actually leaking transmission fluid from a transaxle seal. Fortunately my power train warranty covered the cost, but had it not been for the Walmart tech noting that there was a leak (I don't even care that the leak was misdiagnosed as oil), I would never have noticed. Best case scenario it may have been discovered at some point after my power train warranty expires and cost me several hundred dollars to fix. Worst case, the leak causes more sinister transmission issues. Thank you Walmart! read more
