The short walk from the parking lot along the paved sidewalk leads to a set of double doors and narrow steps into the retail area. This could certainly be an issue for those with limited mobility. Once you are into the retail area, you are greeted by the friendly staff and several display cases of the day's selection. The staff apologized for the limited selection, but I honestly found many great items. I am intrigued as to just how much more extensive their selection would be when they first open. They have the typical danishes, (cherry, apple, cheese, OMG THEY HAVE A GERMAN CHOCOLATE DANISH!!!!). There was a wide selection of donuts and other assorted pastries, and several items which brought back fond memories. We walked out with a couple boxes of treasure for a very reasonable price. We sampled many as we travelled and found each one tasty and wonderful. Berkemann's is a must stop location any time we are travelling through the area.
